This place has unbelievable potential. Cocktails better than monkey pod. Kitchen was short staffed the night we were there. They were out of 75% of their entrees. What we had was awesome.
Great food and great local vibe.
Waiter charged us for bread that was not bread. The manager told us they didn’t serve bread, and the waiter gave us uncut croutons. Like ??? Terrible service but the food was pretty good. Nothing special would not recommend
Food was excellent. Fun place with music playing and great sunset. We had apps to share and everyone enjoyed their meal. Drinks were great also. Servers kept checking to see if we needed anything.
Makela our server was spectacular! Excellent social skills and her passion and knowledge of the menu was so helpful. The food was healthy and the drinks were fantastic. Best experience and fun this week
Lovely (covered) outdoor dining. Menu had many unusual and interesting/innovative vegan and vegetarian items plus much more. It’s the kind of place someone who isn’t vegan or veggie can enjoy. A lot of thought went into the menu and it shows.
Dined here on vacation. Very difficult to find. Service is slow. They have some new staff and others seem to be helping to cover tables. Food was good. A little pricey. Nice view!
Great food with beautiful open air seating with fantastic sunset
We had a reservation but we were seated at a high top in the bar area. Our server was a bar back and support staff. He hasn’t been there long so he accidentally put our order in wrong. Thus my food was cold and I finished eating before my partners food
Came out. The food was good but not outstanding. The atmosphere was excellent and the staff very courteous and friendly. I did feel like it was way overpriced for what we got. The drinks were excellent! I recommend the Endless summer
Great food and ambiance. Service was slow. We weren’t in a rush, but getting the drinks asap and everything else in slow time would have been better. We’ll try there again. :)
Service was a bit slow, but the owner/chef came out several times and acknowledged the same. Food was incredible. We will return soon to try other things on the menu. Nice location in Wailea. Friendly staff. A new favorite on Maui
We arrived just as the sun was setting and had a fantastic view from the terrace. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had the Ahi Blanco and it was fantastic. The white sauce was exceptional and hard to believe it was not made from cream. My wife had the Pasta Vodka. The sauce was divine with just right flavors of onion and Vodka. Chef Malik attended to us all evening and made all of my kids feel special. I highly recommend Wailea Kitchen.
This place is a true hidden gem- emphasis on the hidden, if you can find it, you’ll be so satisfied!
Our server was so sweet (Thank you Mikayka!), gave us the best recommendations, and the cocktails we had were truly the best I’ve ever had in my life. A true farm-to-table experience, there were a few items that they had ran out of, but via Mikayla’s recommendations, we had a decadent meal.
This new establishment deserves much more press and attention than it has gotten! Incredibly delicious, would highly recommend :)
Outstanding staff. Delicious food. The Venison is a must
Excellent discovery on our first night here. Everything else was booked solid - and it’s close to Wailea Beach resorts. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Appetizers included a wonderful roasted mushroom cap dish, prepared with merlot sauce and a smattering of goat cheese, served with fresh toasted bread. (We asked for more so we could soak up the rest of the merlot sauce!). Also ordered marlin ceviche. This was fantastic as well - served with wonton chips. The ceviche was a little different- prepared on a light cream sauce (I’ve usually had it with more of a vinaigrette type sauce) - but it was great! Dinner was a hit as well, our party had the vegan Alfredo pasta dish (spicy with jalapeños) and topped with a grilled portobello. Excellent. Also had the Polynesian Prawns dish - butterflied and sautéed with a garlic/pineapple flavor. Served over lettuce with some balsamic. French fries were amazing - chipotle Mayo for dipping. Last meal was the Venison - served with a delicious sauce and sticky rice. The drinks were great as well - Cool as a Cucumber and Mai Tai in particular. The only miss was the blueberry vegan cheesecake for dessert. Seems you need dairy in cheesecake! Service was very good - our server was working hard as there were only 2 of them, but she was so enthusiastic and helpful. We saw on one review that the place was hard to find - so that was a good heads up. It is. But worth it for sure. When you get to the place there is a big parking lot on the right (I think it might be a country club or something)- you park there but have to cross the street and go slightly left- there is a path that takes you down to the restaurant. Very short walk - worth it!
I love the concept of this place, family-owned, locally sourced organic and healthy food with options for everyone. The food is delicious and creative! The location and view of the sunset, ocean and mountains are amazing. The restaurant is currently short-staffed as is everywhere as we return to normal after the pandemic so be patient and understanding. Parking is easy at the Tennis Club and Restaurants lot, then walk across the road to the path that leads you right to the restaurant.
Out of fish by 6 pm, which was a bit odd. Everything was pretty good, but no real standouts.
Gorgeous setting. Interesting and delicious cocktails. Fabulous food.
Great little family run casual hole in the wall gem!
The food was all organic from local farms and supplies. Outstanding food preparation and very friendly staff. Try their Mai Tai!
We made a reservation via open table. The restaurant is REALLY hard to find. (Park by AC hotel and walk across the street and down a sidewalk toward tennis courts). We were pressed for time so we attempted to call. We received a message. If you call, be ready to write down a number really quickly because the number provided by open table is only an automated message.
We walked into the restaurant and told the host we had a reservation. He looked at a bar tender and then at his screen. He asked us to wait a moment while he walked over to the bar tender. They discussed us for a minute then came back. We were seated and the host brought water. After about 15 minutes, we were tired of waiting. I think that the host and bar tender were the only two employees because no one ever came to take our order. We decided to leave. The food might be great but we never had the opportunity to try it.
Great local sourced food. Creative drinks. Beautiful sunset views.
Don’t understand how you can’t do decent food when you’re dealing with such fresh ingredients. Not impressed!
I don’t know what I liked best- the food, the drinks, the people or the ambiance. Everything about our experience was perfect from the minute we showed up. All of the staff, including the chef went out of their way to make it a great night, even with a 3 year old in tow. The mission of clean food and dirty drinks was more than carried out, and by far my favorite meal of our trip in Maui
The food is awful and the prices are too high. Venison Pasta was watery and cold, portobello appetizer was cold with no taste and even the salad was bad. Definitely not worth going there.
Cannot recommend. Chef needs to spend more time in the kitchen getting the food right. Cocktails were beyond sickly sweet.
Locally owned by a family from Kihei - great food made from locally sourced ingredients, and the view is amazing! A real hidden gem!
We have yet to have food that we really loved on this trip, but we loved our restaurant tonight. It’s across the street from the Shops at Wailea near the tennis courts. In fact, You can’t see it from the road. Get to the tennis courts and look down 😂it’s not fancy inside but delicious food and excellent service. If I could give 6 stars for service I would!
They were so nice, they even drove us back to the resort in their deluxe golf cart! They had many open reservations on opentable.
We had fish and chips, manu roaster (think grilled cheese with locally sourced veggies), vegan pasta Alfredo and venison bolognese
We were blown away by the quality and presentation. The food tasted amazing. We had the jack fruit tacos and they were incredible. So nice to be at an upscale restaurant for vegetarians.
This place is a joke. Going to Wailea’s was a waste of time. We made our reservation for 7:30 pm. No one came to our table until 8:15 and they only came to drop off water. Finally our order was taken and that took an hour. My wife and I were done. We told her not to bother we were leaving, all she said was “oh okay i am really sorry i really do not know what is going on”.
We selected the restaurant based on a variety of vegetarian options. While the food was very good there must have been an amateur running the show. Appetizers took over an hour. Main courses came out randomly. I wish them luck but it seems like no one had any idea of how to run a restaurant.
Date night with my wife. Had a great time. The menu is very unique with lots of vegetarian options.
A hidden gem in Wailea. I love this place!
Hard to get to the restaurant, they need clearer signs on how to get there, or when calling to confirm reservation. Good pastas and apps, limited on entrees. Glen’s coconut sorbet is nice
Our waitress was awesome!! Amazing service!! Atmosphere is fun. Drinks were great and creative. The food arrived really quick and was good.
The fresh cut fries, onion rings, and jackfruit tacos were outstanding. The best fries I’ve had in a while. The jackfruit margarita and shrimp taco was not so good. The margaritas was too sweet and without flavor. The shrimp taco was so salty and tasteless.
Order came all together including drinks. Not going back there again. Quality of food was awful. Don’t recommend this place.
The Wailea Kitchen sits amidst the Wailea Tennis Club, on a hill with a view of the ocean, about a quarter mile away. It is an open, airy space, with windows open to the breeze, and much lighter than you see in most photos online. The tables are spaced out, around the sides, near the windows - I would choose one on the ocean side for the view if possible. Drinks were excellent. The menu is a bit unusual, which is actually nice in a place like Maui where everything is pretty cookie-cutter seafood or burgers. They are very much “farm to table” and offer several vegetarian / vegan entrees. Local venison is featured when available, and they use bison instead of beef. The food was well prepared and tasty. Dessert features vegan coconut ice cream made on Maui, quite good. Overall, a nice alternative to the local scene, relaxing, pleasant and a good meal. It is of course more expensive than you’d expect, but this is Maui, and that seems to be the norm.
Although it's mainly vegetarian and vegan. Their burger and bison tacos where great. Everything homemade and even the Pina colada was fresh
