Great overall experience!
Very limited dinner menu. Need more selection for dinner. Need to have wine in the $40/bottle range. Paid what we would for finer dining (approx $185 for 2) and it’s not that. Very friendly staff and nice poolside ambience. Would go back regularly at more reasonable price for the experience but probably not for what their prices are currently... especially the wine bottle ($60 is cheapest red)
I have always loved the setting of this restaurant, and now with COVID it's so nice to sit outside around the pool and not on a sidewalk. I don't usually expect much food-wise, but I was really surprised that, although the menu was limited, the food was excellent. And the service was outstanding. Highly recommend!
Everything was great, server forgot to add avocado to my meal but nothing major. I will recommend to friends to come here!
Amazing so nice, great brunch place!!
Definitely check it out!
So nice to have a quiet restaurant with easy parking in Los Angeles.
Lovely setting good food peaceful and tasty
I think I hyped up my expectations of this place too much. I let my excitement for the experience for Valentine's Day get the best of me. I did read a few of the reviews, and though some were negative against the service, I figured I'd give the benefit of the doubt.
The environment, ambience, and design was nice and upscale, candle lit tables by the pool, and lamp heaters to stay warm since it still gets quite chilly at night. Now I don't usually have many dinners in Beverly Hills, so it could just be my inexperience, but waiting for about 30mins to even be attended after finally sitting down at the table seems a bit much. Since it was Valentine's Day, there was a special 5 course menu prepared. After we finally got a chance to order, it took around or over 30mins to receive each course. Like I said, it could be my inexperience, but to me it seemed like it was forever. We even had to ask for some bread or something for having to wait so long. The staff, when we did get a chance to be attended, were actually really nice and friendly, but the food took forever to come out.
I guess there can be many reasons as to why the kitchen was so slow, though when I looked around the dining area, there were only a few couples left, so I have no idea. But I still believe that I overpaid for my experience.
This is positively a great restaurant that is unrecognized. The culinary skill of the kitchen is quite impressive. We had a five course prefixe dinner for Valentines. Each and every course had three options. Everything we had was superlative. The range of options were also impressive. I had an outstanding risotto with lobster and shrimp swallows an excellent skirt steak with potato puffs and broccoli. Also, the restaurant pricing seems to be quite reasonable fees of the other restaurants in town for the !quality
Love it. The staff. All.
I’ve wanted to go for awhile, & it did not disappoint, especially considering it is a small hotel restaurant. Due to this, though, the parking & the restroom situation is not ideal. However, the food is really great.
Exceptional food and service! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience
Was an absolute wonderful experience from the food to the ambiance! I’ll definitely come back!
We had perhaps the worst service I have ever had in a restaurant in my entire life. And I've been to a lot of restaurants. I can't even begin to describe how awful it was. And it wasn't even busy. And the food wasn't good enough to make up for it. I had the risotto and it was mediocre at best. I will never go back. And to cap it off, the valet brought my friend the wrong car. Comical.
The food was delicious and prompt. The service was impeccable. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and we would be certain to go back. The gratuitous valet service was also greatly appreciated. The celery root soup was bold but also had subtle counterpoints in it. We discovered this place through Dine L.A.
Almost uncomfortably quiet with very few guests and service was lacking
great experience
Great service and food. Great location and ambiance. Gray customer service
This was a makeup/redo visit from a very bad experience in 2018 and I must say it was a much better experience. Management did a wonderful job to make sure I had a true Viviane experience and I will certainly return moving forward. This time around I had the short rib pappardelle and it was delish...I don't even eat ribs!!!!! We ordered two bottles of Malbec and had a lovely evening poolside under the heat lamp.
Great service. Marci is a fabulous woman. Always friendly, courteous, warm and attentive. Food delicious.
The service was excellent. Our waitress was charming and helpful. Cocktails were mixed just the way we asked. Food was terrific. Everyone was friendly.
Fun place eating outside by a lovely pool. Really good food we shared beet and avocado salad and both had home made pasta. Many places closed on Sunday night so we were happy to have good meal in nice setting. We will be back.
The restaurant was recommended as a "great brunch" location, however, it could not have been farther from that billing. The service was very sultry (even by LA standards), we had to ask for things several times before it was brought, the poached eggs were essentially hard boiled eggs, and the drinks were seriously off. I guess the courtyard patio setting and pool was "fun" and the design "au courant", but I do not think it belongs on a "top restaurant" spot. Much better options exist in this neighborhood of LA and elsewhere for that matter.
It was definitely a pleasant surprise like a hidden gem! Very romantic and cute.
Worst experience I’ve ever had with a hostess - love this place and have always had a great tine here, but I hope to never have a repeat of this last experience. Wait staff was great as always.
Cute place. Great neighborhood restaurant option.
Great food especially dine LA menu with good foods and drinks match up so well.
Sitting by the pool in the sunshine, eating good food with my sister -- it was a perfect southern California day, evocative of mid-century Los Angeles.
Food was ok. Prices were way too high. And the service was crap.
Great food ambiance and service
hidden gem for a nice casual lunch with delicious fresh food
Fathers Day
Love the outdoor seating by the pool. My chicken schnitzel was so over cooked it was dried out old leather. The salad was uninspired. The sober and berries was excellent.
Rainy day with lovely service and delicious food!
We were really looking forward to going here. Perhaps our expectations were a bit too high. $65 per person for the buffet-style brunch which we thought was on par with a basic brunch complete with stale waffles, cold meats that should have been warm, etc etc. I think they were understaffed as well on a busy Sunday. It seemed they only had two on the wait staff, which made getting refills, clearing plates, check a chore for them. Disappointing.....
Viviane has such great ambience!! We were lucky to get a table outside on the pool deck! Service was great!
Nice atmosphere. Good food; service. Looking forward to next visit.
Loved the ambiance and outdoor poolside experience. Very romantic.
I love this place for special occasions (seated in a cabana around the pool) or even just a breakfast meeting. Food and service are excellent. A little pricy but not out of line. It’s got a great vibe.
Excellent service from the valet to the server. Delicious fresh food. Relaxed atmosphere.
