   To be honest I’m not really sure why we come back here. I think it’s mainly because despite how terrible the service here is every time, the pub itself is actually a nice environment - it’s cosy near the fire and the food isn’t bad - There isn’t many places to choose from in Peterborough that are like that. The waitress on this occasion was very friendly, I have nothing bad to say about her manner, but as always they were so understaffed and the food ALWAYS takes ages to come out! Maybe it’s more to say about the kitchen staff. It was about an hour and 10 minutes from ordering to getting our food - and the place wasn’t risiculously busy. The food was nice so I can’t complain too much they just really need to work on the timing issues!!!

   Some of the food is not too bad vegetables however over cooked and served cold I actually fought it was a salad to begin with shame As it is a very nice pub with friendly staff just need to improve on the food

   A warm and friendly welcome upon arrival. Shown to a table straight away and asked if we would like a drink as we were handed the menu. Service throughout the evening (we were looked after by Louise) was extremely good. The quality and presentation of the food was such that we will not hesitate to return in the near future.
