I went for lunch the first day the rfestgdurfant was reopened to the public. Itvwas deserted, because word hadn't gotten around that it was back in business.
But our server was delightful, the food was very good, and overall a pleasant way to spend a Monday lunch hour.
It's sad to see the Hyatt operating at only 10% capacity, but such is life under CoVid. I hope to see it bustling again isn the holidays arrive and people continue to be sensible and safe about this most horrible of viruses.
Our server was amazing - and is every single time that I dine at Vines. She has great energy, is always upbeat and has a sincere interest in making sure whoever she is waiting on is 100% pleased with their meal and experience. She is one of the biggest reasons that I select dining at Vines.
Wanted a nice place to enjoy Sunday brunch with family on my Birthday. It was a quiet day since it was also Super Bowl Sunday and made for a great brunch at the vines. The service was great and the food one of the best for a brunch buffet. Thank you.
The wait staff was fabulous. The food was delicious. Timing was excellent. The lunch menu is varied. The food prep and techniques were top notch. We weren’t rushed. Very nice family meal.
The lunch buffet has to be one of the best deals in town in regards to choices, quality and flavor. For $16.99, not only do you have unlimited access to the soups, salads, cheese board, breads, pizza, and cookie bar, but beverages, such as tea and coffee, are included. Service was excellent- attentive, timely, and responsive to any request. I always look forward to having lunch here on the days I attend the Community Center matinee theater performances. With lunch, you can get validation for $5 valet parking while you see the show. WOW!
Good, quality breakfast buffet. They use quality ingredients and products. All the standard fare and made to order omelettes available. Good, attentive service. Pleasant ambiance.
Great lunch spot for our conference
OpenTable needs to better coordinate with Vines - Hyatt Regency. My party was allowed to book a 2:00 reservation for Father's Day but when we arrived, we were told that kitchen closes in 20 minutes and we should not have been allowed to book a 2:00 reservation on Sunday.
Have eaten their many times but this time the service was very slow . The food was good and our waitress was nice .?
Room was very cold! Love the cream of tomato soup but it was not hot at all!
Food is not as good as it use to be. Rather bland! Needs seasoning.
Service was great aa always!
Thanks
I’ve been to Vines many times before my Community Center show. This time I ordered the salmon with fresh asparagus and corn potato cakes. It was cooked perfectly and tasted very good! My friend tried the Fake Burger and really enjoyed her meal, too! Service was excellent and it was a delightful meal!
Celebrating a birthday. Told server and greeter. No special recognition for birthday “girl”—all other restaurants always give free mini cake .
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Definitely plan on going back!
Perfect place to meet friends
Vines at the Hyatt Regency is the perfect place to lunch before a show at the Community Theater. The food and wine are excellent.
Quiet day in the dining room. I had the Shrimp Louie which was covered with large shrimp and the dressing was fantastic. Highly recommend. My companion enjoyed a salad with a huge piece of salmon, cooked to perfection. Service was excellent - friendly, attentive without being intrusive. Lastly, I requested a special table through the Open Table app and the staff was aware of and accomodated the request. I always enjoy and recommend Vines for dining.
Service and food are excellent. Very adaptable. Unfortunately the noise level is a bit high.
We go to the Broadway Series and love coming to the Vine. We always get the same waitress and we love her. We go to the Sunday matinee.
Best breakfast we ever had.
Girls Theatre day
I made reservations, but still waited about 15-20 minutes to be seated. Once seated, service was incredibly slow. It took an addition 45 minutes to receive our food. Making us late for our meeting. The food was good, but extremely over-prices for what you got. Waitress stopped by the table a total of 4 times. Once to take out order, once when I stopped her to inquire about the additional wait time, once to bring the food, and once to bring the check.
I would not recommend those at meeting at the convention center to go there if you are on a timed lunch.
Always good . We go for lunch and then head over to the community Center .
Never disappointed!
A so-so menu and a sad-looking breakfast/brunch buffet.
Great place for lunch! Food was fresh farm to fork salad and soup bar. Bright and sunny room looking across the street to the Capitol. Service impeccable! Easy valet parking available.
Right “theater-day” meeting spot—love the valet parking too.
Dined at Vines for lunch before a Community Center Broadway Series show. Very good service and excellent food.
Love this place!!
Went for brunch before the theater, wonderful waitress from Russia and the unlimited Mimosas are a great value. Good food and service. We will be back.
Friendly staff. Delicious food. Lovely view of fall colors out the large windows facing the patio and park. We were there for lunch before a matinee at the theater. It was perfect. Thank you!
Service is excellent. Pastries are good and selection is very good. Good place for a Sunday brunch
Second day in a row to eat breakfast at the Vines. Convenient for us as guests at the Hyatt and attending a conference at the Sacramento Convention Center across the street. The wait staff both days have been friendly and pleasant. The young man who took our beverage orders repeated what we wanted (coffee, orange juice, two waters) but brought only the coffee and juice. He verified that we still wanted water, but never brought it. Part of our food order was brought to us about ten minutes later. I stopped a waitress about five - seven minutes afterward as she walked by and asked about our missing food. More minutes passed until we had the rest of our food. A waitress noticed that we did not have water, asked if we wanted some, and quickly provided it. We were very satisfied with our food: pancakes, chicken sausage, fresh fruit plate with nine different kinds of fruit plus yogurt and some nuts.
Great breakfast.....fantastic and prompt service.....even though there was a convention going on!
The Hyatt was busy this particular weekend, housing attendees for the conference being held at the Sacramento Comvention Center located across the street. I was grateful for my Open Table reservation as we were seated immediately at our reservation time while I overheard the hostess inform others that they would wait at least fifteen minutes for a table. Our party of two ordered pancakes, French toast, and chicken sausage. All were satisfactory. We waited about twenty-five minutes for our food to arrive, and my only concern was the waitstaff never stopped back to acknowledge that our food was delayed but would be coming.
Went to this restaurant on May 27, pre-theatre. Had a reservation at 12:15. There was a card on the reserved table with my name on it. From the service perspective, this restaurant needs help. The server was an order taker only. Offered no information regarding the menu. The skirt steak was ordered by my dining guest. The temp. was requested as MR, and was served Well. It was returned and replaced/comped by the restaurant. That was generous, which some restaurants would not do. When finished, our plates were not cleared, even though a check was dropped on the table. No desserts were offered, even though our neighboring table received the sales pitch. After the meal was comped, it appeared that the server wanted us out of there. When I placed my credit card in the check holder, we moved the dirty dishes to the edge of the table. She finally received the message that we wanted them off the table. Hyatt needs to raise the bar at this location. Attentiveness and care, were not a high priority.
As always, the food was very good. I had the cobb salad. So nice to have a normal size salad, and chopped up small so you don't have to fiddle with trying to cut up lettuce while trying to have a business meeting. In and out - as always - in an hour, maybe a little less.
Pre-theatre lunch was 'just right' and the service was outstanding. Our server could not have been more pleasant or more attentive.
Dined at Vines before a theater matinee. The crab salad was delicious and my friend had the salad bar. Excellent choices and very fresh items. Service was very good and friendly.
Omelet gone in their 2017 New PRICEY menu--40% higher since February. Love valet parking. Our lunch place during the Broadway Theater season. Really they bring back the omelette
Great job, asked for a quiet place to meet for breakfast and it was perfect. Staff was outstanding, thank you!
Service was excellent - quick, but not rushed. Drink refills arrived without being asked. Food was delicious. I had the pasta special: Linguini with vegetables in a pesto cream sauce. Fantastic! This is my go-to place when downtown on business, which is frequent.
