Need to book at 7:00 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Our dining experience was eye candy from beginning to end: the glass wall with over 700 pieces of art is amazing. We picked charcuterie to start with cocktails. We also had a harissa spiced dip which was fresh and just enough zing. Portions for tapas are generous. Next we had two hot items: brocollini and salmon which were well cooked and spiced just right. Dessert included beignets and a strawberry mouse with champagne center. Looking forward to returning to Vidrio.
The grilled octopus was tasty and tender, the pasta was freshly made and delicious, the pork belly was fantastic and the drinks are unique blends of different elements that combine beautifully. The stunning wall mural looks like Venetian glass plates but was created by an artist from Ohio. Altogether, a great find in downtown Raleigh. Oh, and our server, Conrad, was just the best!
Our server Emma was terrific! Her suggestions were wonderful and she was extremely attentive to our needs. Just a delightfull dinner.
Once again did not disappoint! Busy Saturday night and the food was excellent, the service was impeccable and the staff were amazing. Well done and we will be back.
We had a 10:30 reservation and didn’t get sat right away. When we approached the bar, we were there for about 20 minutes and no one said a word to us, we didn’t even get water. The bar was busy but not overcrowded. When we were seated, we sat about 15-20 minutes and again, no one spoke to us, got us water, or stopped at the table. We noticed at least three servers pass by several times and no one approached, so we left. Poor experience on Valentines Day.
waitress should suggest for first visitors what food are good for the first time.
Visited here for a Valentine's day dinner and it was near perfect!!!
Great food! The hand made fettuccine was one of the best I've ever had. The lamb tostas were packed with flavor.
Wonderful restaurant for a special night/celebrations
Happy waiter, busy night
The mood was great throughout the building, calming and relaxing energy while we dined!!!!!
Valentine’s Day dinner... setting was not romantic, big room with seating to close the the person next to you but the tables were to long so you were far across from your date but closer to your neighbor. Not intimate at all. Would be fun for big groups but def not a great date spot to connect. Food was good, did not blow me away but was as expected .
Starlina is a wonderful ambassador for Vidrio!
Thank you for always making us feel special when we dine at your beautiful restaurant!
A beautiful space with delicious food, and excellent service.
One of the best restaurants that I have been to in Raleigh
Excellent food and service. We liked the small plates option.
This restaurant is Epic! It was our first time and all we could reserve same day was a bar table but I really didn't care once I got there. The service was impeccable, the food was outrageously good and the wine list is one of the best I have seen in Raleigh. Definitely will be going back as a regular.
Food was great. Service was phenomenal. Was a little loud but could still talk from across the table. Can’t wait to go back.
We went for a birthday dinner, we were very impressed with our server Alex, the food was delicious, we shared 4 plates as recommended by our waiter. Everything was perfect, down to the post dessert coffee.
I came here with my sister and my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is beautiful with the high ceiling and full length multicolor blown glass mural against the wall. The menu is tapas style so the three of us shared all of the plates. We did a half charcuterie and half artisanal cheese board that came with all the fixings pickles, jam, jelly, crackers, grapes, and apple slices. It was a fantastic appetizer. We then enjoyed oysters on the half shell, gyro tostada, hand cut fettuccine, braised short ribs. We ordered the broccolini but unfortunately they were out. We settled for the cauliflower instead which was very good but also very rich. I do feel like the menu could benefit from more vegetable options to round out the meals. Surprisingly the tostada was my favorite the little bites had the perfect combination of everything you want in a gyro. The fettuccine was also incredible and while the dressing was heavy and rich, the pasta was light and fresh. Without even asking (having only specified on open table that we were celebrating a birthday) the staff brought over the chocolate buttermilk cake with a lit candle and happy birthday written out in chocolate sauce. It was delicious, beautiful, unexpected but very appreciated. While the price was on the higher end we got the quality it paid for. I would definitely come back and would highly recommend to other especially those celebrating a birthday.
Food was outstanding. If you are looking for a more energetic date night vibe sit in the bar!
Every tapas dish we ordered was excellent! The flank steak was specially tender and flavorful. The cauliflower with Parmesan and bread crumbs was cooked perfectly. Moroccan Beef on a skewer was very tender and tasty. Great Sangria. And beignets for dessert. Ideal dinner - not too much food and everything delicious!
We loved out evening out at Vidrio!! The atmosphere is outstanding—modern, classy with lots of pizazz!! Food was so scrumptious. They did run out of one of the wines on the menu.
Beautiful setting, interesting food, great service. Drinks are fantastic. And when we did not want a dessert to celebrate a birthday they brought champagne instead. Yes!
Outstanding food and service even on a packed Saturday night!
The cavernous space does not lend itself to intimate conversation. In fact, this night it was just too dang loud. It was not that other diners were rowdy or disrespectful, it’s simply the physical configuration of the space which seemed to amplify noise to an unpleasant legal. That being said, the food and service were first rate. The small plates menus format was a great way to experience several excellently executed dishes, so the kitchen has solid skills. It’s probably a great place to celebrate getting that big contract, or your teams advancement to the playoffs; less great for more intimate moments.
A beautifully decorated restaurant with a very uptown vibe- Delicious food, generous small plate portions, and courteous service!
Best all around meal I have had in Raleigh. Get beef skewers and steak. Cheese board is also really good.
The food and service was all really great!
hope to go back again soon! everything was amazing!
Great food and service
The space is absolutely beautiful. Simple, well-thought out decor that is SO appealing to look at! The wine selection is impressive and the idea of “wine flights” is so fun. The food was delicious, I love the sharing of small plates because you get to try so many delicious dishes. The service was great. We didn’t get checked on so much it was annoying but we never wishing she’d come back sooner for something. It’s not a place you’d go for a cheap bite but I think you get what you pay for. We had a wonderful night and will definitely go back for celebratory dinners!
Attended for restaurant week and was disappointed in the cheese and charcuterie plates due to small variety and portion. Evidently, we should have ordered the beef skewers and hummus plate - they looked and smelled amazing and were more generous in size. The entrees were good (NY strip steak, gnocchi dumplings), but the desserts were incredible (Hazelnut Flan and a chocolate cake(?)). Will be back for cocktails and dessert. Great location for a double date or small group of friends.
Service was a little slow as their were 3-4 groups on the restaurant seemed to pre-occupy wait staff. Food was Great & Ambiance was really nice. Portions are generally small, although prices are not.
Had a reservation last night with friends… the place is beautiful! The cocktails were weak, the service was awful, the food was good however on the salty side - like our waitress. Even the valet took forever… It’s a shame it was a disappointing experience
Amber great service. Food kept coming out. Fun night,
The restaurant is beautiful with a full wall of a glass art exhibit that was incredible. This is a tapas place and they bring the food out when it is ready. We placed our order and we had finished everything in a 45 minute time frame before they brought up one of our vegetables (the cauliflower dish). We sent it back because we were all done and needed to go to our show. Our waiter was also sub-par - we dealt with the manager for all our issues because he never came back to check on us and she was constantly walking around. She was wonderful and had no issues with helping us.
Waitress did an outstanding job of guiding us through the menu and the gluten free options. Food was delicious!
Vidriois one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Raleigh. We stopped without a reservation and the hosts were very helpful in watching for an open table to accommodate us. The staff are very personable at Vidrio. Food was excellent as usual. Overall, great dining experience at Vidrio!
Amazing, from the moment we walked in to us leaving. The food was phenomenal as well as the service
