It was great! Multiple people came up to us to ask how the food/drinks were, etc. Everything was incredible. The server was very knowledgeable and nice. We’ve had lots of Mexican food in Dallas but Vidorra is definitely one of the best on our list now!
Went for a friend’s birthday dinner and had a great time! I highly recommend the queso and the chips are amazing! Lots of margarita and fun drink options! Definitely will return.
Place is awesome take your friends that like to drink margs get the huge one and catch a black it’ll be a great time.
It was perfect , my boyfriends birthday. They set up his gift so well with his birthday dessert . Miranda thank you !! You were great girl . Food and bottle was perfect !
I took my boyfriend to Vidorra for his birthday! Our experience was absolutely amazing!!! The food was great, hot, fresh, and authentic taste! The drinks were superb! The best part was the service! Food was brought out timely, we were checked on by our server, hostess and the manager. Also the decor is way cool!! Moss covered walls in the back with really cool couch seating and ropes! This will be our new spot and we coming back this weekend with our friends! They brought my boyfriend a sweet little surprise at the end! Thank you guys!
The food was “okay”-typical Tex Mex-nothing extraordinary about it. The atmosphere was great! Music was lively and the crowd is young and vibrant. Check this place out!
How fast the food got to the table was the only redeeming part of the service. Totally understand that it’s a new place and they’re still working out the details but hire a staff that doesn’t lose your customer’s card and then claimed to have given it back to them.
Also - terrible parking situation, late seating by about 20 minutes even though we had a reservation and the music was so loud, we all had to shout at each other.
There’s plenty other great Tex mex places in Dallas, save your money.
this place is gorgeous... but the food is only ok and so was the service. if you're planning a special night out, you can probably do better.
Came here with a group of friends visiting from LA. We had a great experience. Food was delicious. We ordered a variety of items from the menu from the fish tacos to the fajitas to the enchiladas and all were very good. The avocado salsa was so good we talked about it the next day.
The food was fine, but service was terrible. I understand that this is a new restaurant, but our drinks were tiny, the food came out somewhat cold, and we only saw our server a few times the entire time we dined.
Overall my experience was good. You can tell they are still working out the kinks though. My frozen margarita was completely liquid because the margarita machine wasn’t “warmed up yet” according to my waiter. I wish he would have mentioned this when we ordered them, or given us an opportunity to select a different drink. My entree was really good (fish tacos) but my rice had 3 lemon seeds in it. Great view of the skyline from the roof!
Sitting inside...There were flies everywhere. All over us. All over our food. It was disgusting. We asked to be moved and they sat us right next to kitchen. 🤢👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I walked in and was ignored for 3 minutes while 4 people talked amongst themselves about tables. They didn’t even acknowledge my presence so I couldn’t check in. That took another 5 minutes to get us to our table. We ordered drinks and they came after our appetizers. The waitress couldn’t even identify which drink was which and gave them to the wrong people. Food took forever. They never asked if we wanted refilled or new drinks. We ordered a round of shots that took 30 minutes so we didn’t even want them by the time they came. Then they decided to split up our bill (we didn’t ask for that) and it took a solid 45 minutes. They put all of the appetizers on my bill and added 20% gratuity to each tab. The most they offered us was a $10 card to come back and we all left them on the table. Will NOT be returning. Ever. I’ll be shocked if the place stays open another month. Absolute nightmare.
Vidorra is a gorgeous space. The outdoor patio is beautiful and spacious for dining. The food is not quite there yet and may never be...it’s not bad, just average. I will definitely return though...Vidorra has super fun energy and everyone was extremely nice.
Queso fundido was great. All other food was okay. Decor and ambiance was wonderfully done. Service was beyond disappointing. Waiter kept running away from us. We had to chase him down to order every time. Food came out at all different times. They forgot one person’s order-luckily it was a salad so quick to make. We asked for the check. Waiter disappeared and returned to the table 25 minutes (no exaggeration) later to tell us that he will work on the bill but it’s hard to do. Another 35 minutes later we finally got the bills. Absolutely absurd. I know the restaurant opened a week ago but this was beyond working out a few kinks. Important to note, this was on a Monday night with the restaurant at 1/4 capacity. My mind was literally blown by the horrible service and lack of effort and response from management. I will never go back. It doesn’t deserve a second chance.
Giving this new restaurant the benefit of the doubt on its first week in operation. Made reservations for the upstairs patio on a Sunday night but when we arrived they had given up the tables to a couple large parties. Food was ok however the double shrimp fajitas came with about 8 small pieces, limited veggies - $38?!? On a positive note our waiter was very good! We’ll go back because we live in the neighborhood, it’s a very cool spot and we are suckers for good margs. 😊
Extremely long waits for our drinks and food but I think that was because it just opened. I do believe that they will get t together. Awesome decor!!! Amazing drinks. The food is outstanding!!!! Those chips.....yummy.
Way to loud ! Hard to each other during dinner especially inside
I had high hopes for this place. We visited shortly after they opened and the normal kinks were there: poor service (our girl tried so hard), terrible drinks, food didn't come out hot. I ordered two different margaritas and after not being able to drink either of them, I settled for wine- I figured they couldn't screw that up.
The food was below average. The queso fundido and chips were stellar, but that's it. Unfortunately, I have no desire to return. If you want good Mexican food and a beautiful space, there are handfuls of other places in Dallas to choose from.
Terrible fly problem, basically this bar is perfect for college kids. If you are looking for a football tailgate this is your place. Would not recommend for the more sophisticated eater. Did I mention the fly problem? There must have been over 100 fly's just at our table alone.
Made reservations for 930 and didn't get seat until 1030. It took over an hour to get our food and then they didn't bring one meal. Extremely disorganized.
Food was good, atmosphere as very cool. Need to go back and try more.
The outside/rooftops need fans or misters - it’s way too hot, being out there was uncomfortable and made us want to leave ASAP.
The food and atmosphere were awesome but the service was slow. It was their first weekend so that’s probably why and I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Drinks were yummy and the tacos were awesome
The place is beautifully constructed! We had a reservation for 6:30 pm on the patio but had to wait a while longer since the hostess stand was behind on seating people. There seemed to be some confusion, understandably, since it was opening weekend. Overall, the food was flavorful and plated nicely. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu and to experience the other areas of the restaurant! Congrats Vidorra on a beautiful new place in Deep Ellum!
When I think of a happy place...I think of Vidorra. LOVED IT !!!....Can’t wait to visit again.
Since we had a reservation we didn’t have to wait too long to get seated. Presentation on everything was great! Cucumber margarita did not taste like cucumber and was very strong (doesn’t have to be a bad thing). Chips were great with the lime salt! Loved the queso and guac, but the ceviche was incredibly dry and the mango salsa it came it was too sweet. The meat in the Al pastor tacos were not marinated properly and the chicken in the sour cream enchiladas were dry for our tables’s liking. Our server was nice, could have been more attentive, but the manager on the floor definitely picked up the slack for her. She charged me for an item I didn’t order, granted I should have checked the bill before I gave her my card, but we got that fixed later. It was their opening night so I’m sure all the hectic things will die down soon enough and they will fix these minor issues. I definitely want to give them another try to see how some things have changed!
