Italian
***Temporarily Closed***Viale dei Romani is a modern West Hollywood trattoria. Inspired by the Mediterranean coasts, our seafood-driven cuisine highlights the principles of Italian cooking with broader Southern French and North African influences.
The menu draws from the rich and far reaching culinary history of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, and the Moorish impact on the southern European Coast. Highlights include wood-fired seafood, raw fish preparations, pasta, pizza, and the traditional chickpea crêpe Cecina served with falafel, crudo, and marinated local vegetables; as well as a world class bread program and pastries - with all offerings crafted in-house and by hand.

Great restaurant! Definitely a crowd pleaser. I brought my parents while they were in town but I have also had a business dinner here. Great food and fantastic service. The pastas are fabulous!

Special thank you to Viale dei Romano for staying open during in the COVID madness. Wish you the best.

Also love the inside bar.

A new favorite in West Hollywood, we can't get enough of this place. The staff is first rate and the food is really really good. We will go back over and over again.

This used to be one of Weho’s best restaurants. But the restaurant sold recently. Although the menu is still the same- all of the dishes were poorly executed. Essentially poor replicas of the former menu. Flavors were under developed and even the look of the food on the plate was under whelming.

Service was absolutely slow and unresponsive. Nearly 20 minutes to get a cocktail. I requested a wine list multiple times from our waiter until finally a bus boy got me one.

Lastly a door to the lobby was broken causing us to have to get up multiple times to close it as there was a strong draft.

We miss the prior manager, Francois and the many professional wait staff that he so expertly led. Almost everyone is new and clearly not properly trained.

Overall a real shame that it was sold- one of the best is now one that we will never return to with so many other better choices in Weho.

The food was quite good
The service is poor, it took a long time to order and a long time for the food to come out
We were a party of 5 with a reservation, there was not table set up and the options left one person uncomforatable
Half the guests ate their meal on a coach which was too low for the table
It is too bad as the food was really enjoyable

everyone in our party enjoyed their food, especially pasta dishes, once it arrived.
service was slow and rather indifferent.
the staff was not familiar with the wines on their list and it seemed to take rather a long time to bring a bottle to the table.
dessert menu is uninspired.
the noise level borders on unpleasant. though not as loud as many places these days, it was often difficult to understand the conversation unless the speaker was directly across the table.

Unfortunately, from the start of our meal, we waited. We waited for someone to take our drink order. And then didn’t get our drinks for another 20 minutes. And we waited to order food for another 20 minutes. And then waited another 20 minutes for another round of drinks. Our bruschetta and salads were great but everything else was mediocre. There were barely any desserts listed on the menu... We ordered the rice pudding and 2 of the gelato flavors. Somehow all 3 completely lacked flavor. Definitely won’t go back there!!

Good looking restaurant in a vibrant area.
We went on Valentines weekend so I was expecting a bit of chaos.
It was a business dinner for me and they had spots available so we went there. My first visit was really great, this second visit (maybe because of the holiday) was awful.
Food was OK at best. We were seated an hour later. Waited at the bar and couldn't even get a glass of wine for that whole hour we waited. First we waited a looong time, then they didn't have our wine and never cared to come back in time to offer something else.
So we dry-waited, got seated, waited some more and we got a few orders wrong.
By that time we were starving. Had our bottle of wine and left without desserts.

I always give restaurant a second chance, especially on a busy weekend. Things can go wrong and its understandable. Try it when you're in no rush, for an OK meal.

First ones into the restaurant! Apparently they only make twelve dishes of Pasta alla Piastra (sp?) a night, so we made sure to get it. It was great! Went very well with the Branzino. Very good location and ambiance for a nice dinner. I’d come back!

Overall very disappointed with the service in the restaurant. One of my guests had allergy to garlic. At the beginning of the dinner, while taking the orders, we were not asked if there were any food allergies for any of the guests. So when the pasta bottarga came out, one of my guests asked if there was any garlic, and when she received confirmation she was not offered to have it replaced immediately. So, she ended up having only a dessert for dinner. Also, I personally order a side of spinach and that never came out. Not the type of service I would expect on a quite Tuesday evening at 8pm.

Fabulous restaurant all around by equally pleasing cutting edge boutique La Peer Hotel. Food delicious, great drinks, inviting bar area, large spaces, not crowded- If you want to impress someone with a fun modern good restaurant in an in LA area, this is it. Not so loud either to have conversation.

Love this place though they haven’t cultivated a daytime crowd so it is mostly an empty restaurant. One of our appetizers was terrible and they kindly didn’t charge us. Overall, the place is beautiful and refined. Most dishes are excellent. Plus during the day the valet is free! Disappointed that you don’t get reward points on Open Table when you dine here. Open Table needs to rethink that as it’s a nice perk to reserving here. Is that the fault of the restaurant not wanting the Open Table fee? The diner shouldn’t get caught in the middle.

We had an odd experience where we were seated by the door on a cold night. One of the staff repeatedly came through and kept leaving it open, even after we and another table would get up each time to close it. It was very strange, passive-aggressive behavior, as this back and forth must have occurred at least 5 times before he finally ceased.

I am sad to say that the quality here has slipped over the past year.
Portions have gotten smaller and the prices are now a bit crazy. $31 for a single serving of Lasagna that was burned at the edges?
The Mussels arrived in a lovely sauce but were miniscule. The Branzino was a small fillet that was served in a weird sweetie I sauce that did nothing for the fish.
This was one of my few favorite restaurants in Los Angeles but I just cannot reccomend it any longer.
