We there for restaurant week and the overall experience was okay... We were seated immediately which was super nice. The waiter handed us our menus and then disappeared for a good while before coming back and taking our orders. There was a table of a couple women that was in the same area as us. They were so loud that I heard every single details that they were discussing; this ranged from their sex life to their relationship problems. It was very uncomfortable eating while listening to that. I ordered a cosmopolitan which was made way too strong. I had three sips and couldn’t drink anymore after that. The food was okay. Nothing outstanding. I had the halibut and risotto. The risotto was cooked very well, not so much the halibut. Desserts were good; we ordered tiramisu and cannoli. The service was kind of slow but the waiter was nice. We waited a good 20 minutes before they came and took the payment. Overall, a subpar experience.
Via Toscana was absolutely delicious! We went there for restaurant week 2020 & each course was amazing. We had the roasted beets, gnocchi di zucca (very filling), pollo carbonara rustico, and venetian mousse for dessert. Oh, and of course some tasty bread & wine!
The atmosphere was so cozy and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend!
Everything was great. All food ordered was delicious. Service was great. Excellent menu selection. Perfect!
Love this consistently great dining mainstay. Pray the pandemic does not destroy these great little independent establishments.
We love this place! The food is always amazing. I highly recommend!!
We were the only ones there, but that made in really special. The bartender served us and served us well! His Manhatten was one of the best ever. Food was great, too! We'll be back again!
This is one of our favorite restaurants and it did not disappoint. I usually go with the cioppino but decided to try the Penne Rigate Vodka di Mare which was excellent. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Scampi Toscana. Service was excellent!
Great food! Nice ambience and an exceptional wine list made for a very nice evening. Found the prices to be quite reasonable. Service was good but they could have used some bussing staff. The table was not promptly cleared between apps and wines and became a bit overcrowded at times.
It was strange eating in a restaurant with only one other table occupied. Food was excellent as was the service. Chairs could use a little extra padding but otherwise, no complaints.
I have eaten at Via Toscana several times over the past 12 years. This past experience was a relative disappointment. The food quality has always been very good however our last experience included poor quality food. Hopefully this is not going to be an ongoing problem.
great food, atmosphere, and the service was amazing!
The food was not as good as usual, maybe they were having an off day.
We had a very good meal once we were ready to order food. Service was fine. We have been to Via Toscana several times before. We have never been disappointed.
Outstanding food and service
Food was excellent! Many gluten free options for those who need it. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, relaxing and elegant.
Food was great and not only good service but quick too! Of course we did go early but still we were not rushed but also did not have to wait for any of our food. Made for a wonderful night, thanks.
Always fun to eat there. Also doing a good job with spacing people out. Loved the food and the service was great.
It was our 16th anniversary. I picked the place bc of easy parking, diverse menu, good reviews and prices were fair. Ambiance was great! Service was good and so many things on menu to try. They gave us a cannoli for free for our anniversary! Food was very good! We will be back!
Always a great experience at Via Toscana! Our waiter Jim was amazing along with the other staff members. Very accommodating since I am GF. Highly recommend Via Toscana!
I have been eating at this establishment for many years .
I have had excellent service
each and every time and the food is so authentic and great !
The wine selection is exquisite and so many to chose from 😁
Love this place
I love this place and they have best best COVID protocols in place out of anywhere I’ve gone. Their food is stellar and the staff is friendly. Definitely recommend if you are looking for you nice outing and some amazing food
We always enjoy our experience at Via Toscana. The food is very good and the portions are generous. They have an excellent good wine list and the service is alway nice, friendly and efficient.
Fantastic as Always, amazing scallop risotto
Great beet salad and bread. The service was excellent as well.
Very enjoyable start to finish. Have dined here in several occasions.
We enjoyed our experience very much! We will be back again.
Food was great and so was the wine selection
We had a nice time and both our entrees and desserts were delicious! I would skip the espresso next time however..
Via Toscana is an excellent restaurant— a real gem in Louisville!
Good atmosphere and good food
My daughter and I had our first meal out since the start of COVID-19, and Via Toscana was our choice, hands down. We each had a very reasonably priced glass of excellent wine, olives for our appetizer with Via Toscana’s wonderful bread and delicious gluten-free bread, and caprese salads. We had the dining room to ourselves for most of the meal, as diners were spaced well around the restaurant’s many dining rooms. Our server, Jim, whom we’ve had before, was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. The main courses, lasagne for my daughter and gluten-free shrimp Toscana for me, were ample and wonderfully flavored. We took half home for another meal. This is our favorite restaurant for ambiance, service, and, most especially, delicious food, and we highly recommend it!
Pleasant and tasty...
Love everything about this place, food always perfection, service 5star!
Te restaurant was pretty empty. Our Waiter was AMAZING and the food was excellent, as always.
Delicious birthday meal. Thanks!
The food and service are always consistent but we really appreciate the owner (som) taking the time to educate and help us with our wine selections..
We went early so it was quiet, service was good, and the food was wonderful.
Outstanding! Definately a do-over
We enjoyed the private spaces created for dining during COVID and felt safe from possible exposure from other diners.
Great service and satisfying Italian dishes, served hot and well-prepared.
Nice find while visiting from out of town.
As a long-time customer of Via Toscana, I highly recommend them. The food and service have always been excellent. It's divided into small areas that allow quiet dining. They have a large wine selection. They are also very friendly.
