Our renowned Victorian tradition of “Afternoon Tea” under the historic banyan tree invites guests to indulge in a variety of tropical tea blends accompanied by a selection of delicious finger sandwiches, scones and delicate pastries.

Please Note we are a cashless restaurant. We only accept credit cards or room charges as form of payment. A 20% gratuity will be added to all parties of 6 or more and for parties of 5 or more that request split checks.
We kindly ask to refrain from balloon decorations to ensure the views for others are respected. Guests are welcome to bring their own cake/dessert for an additional fee of $7 per person.

Our server Li (aka Jihao or Jace) was outstanding. His elegant hospitality provides a rare mix of classic, impeccable service and friendly welcome. His recommendations were perfectly tailored for each of us, and his patient, personal attention made us feel like we had the lanai all to ourselves for our special celebration high tea. He clearly loves his work, and is a testament to the Moana Surfrider hotel's legacy of gracious sophistication in Waikiki. Mahalo nui loa! A hui hou!

The tea is a nice experience and you pay for that plus the views. Service was excellent. If you are hungry opt for the tea with a burger! We asked for it cut in half which they kindly accommodated. The traditional tea sandwiches are also very tasty, but not too filling.

初めての一人ハワイで、最終日空港に行く前にアフタヌーンティを利用しました。メニューは少し迷いましたが、シャンパンと扇子付きのものに。予め景色のよい席をとリクエストしていたのですが、もう少し海に近い席がよかったなー。多分他の方が先にリクエストされていたのでしょう。それでも海は見えましたので良しとします。リクエストは、海に一番近い席！とはっきり言った方がよいのかもですね。それでも、素敵なホテルでのアフタヌーンティは名残惜しくも優雅な気分で帰国するのにピッタリでした。

Afternoon tea at the Veranda was fantastic! We went for Father’s Day and my husband had a great time. Customer service is excellent. The food was very good. It’s great that they have the Duke’s tea where you get a full hamburger, onion rings and fries. The desserts were yummy! The lilikoi curd is amazing! A memorable experience!

I have wanted to have tea at the Moana Surf Rider for years, but there wasn’t availability during our stay in Oahu. This time I made reservations well in advance of our trip to ensure availability. I am so happy we did! The ambience and the experience is well worth the time and effort that it took for us to get a reservation. And it’s well worth the money spent. The service was great, the food was great, there was so much food that we could barely walk when we left. We also happened to get there on the second Saturday of the month which is the Monarch butterfly experience. I was worried because this is advertised as a tea for children…which none of us are at least not physically. Honestly there were more adults than children and I think the adults were having more fun than any kids that were there.. if you have never had tea and n the veranda at the Surf Rider, then try it. You will not regret it.
