Vail Marriott Curling and Cocktails
Our waitress was great but overall this experience was lackluster. They could do such a better job with maintaining the space. It was dirty and I had to ask the staff to fix the lights which were not working. They also only had enough curling stones for one lane even though we reserved both
Poor service, it was starting to snow as we were starting which made the conditions tough. We told our server it wasn’t very good due to the snow and water and she said “yeah, I wouldn’t recommend playing in this”. We played for about 2 minutes and finally stopped because it was so bad. She would not give us a refund or anything. Very upsetting. Also, this is NOT real ice, it is plastic. The “stones” are NOT stones, they are fake stones with three casters on the bottom.
Amazing experience! So much fun to get to try out curling and get a couple of drinks. Highly recommend. Service was incredible, the staff showed us how to play and have a great time.
It was fake curling. No ice even.
Great family fun. Beautiful atmosphere.
Excellent time! This is a play time great for families. Mickey our host taught us the essentials and provided drinks and appetizers from the lounge. One drink was included. We played a few rounds. The rocks roll on wheels on a painted board and there are no brooms. There is a definite advantage on the downhill side. Still we laughed and had a wonderful time. Highly recommended for groups and families.
There are two things people should know: 1) it isn’t real curling (no ice, no brooms...instead you roll the stones on painted plywood) and 2) You will not be “dining” although you can order drinks from the bar but it is not set up for you to have dinner as you only get 30 minutes of “curling”.
Bottom line is if you are staying at the Marriott or nearby it might be an ok way to spend 30 minutes but otherwise probably not worth your time.
I’m not sure why this venue is on Open Table as it is NOT a restaurant. The reservation made on Open Table is only for an outdoor Curling Lane. There is a first come, first serve lobby bar in the Marriott that you can try to get a table in but during ski season it’s packed. Don’t reserve this venue hoping to have dinner.
