Ulu Kitchen by Merriman is an ocean front restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner service featuring local ingredients and recipes created by chef Peter Merriman.

We have indoor and outdoor dining options, with a full bar, and the most prime dining views in all of Ka'anapali. The breakfast menu features classic favorites like Eggs Benedits, omelettes, pancakes, as well as some unique dishes like the cure (breakfast ramen) and our Hawaiian chilaquiles.

Lunch features our signature smash burger, fresh ahi tuna poke bowl, tempura battered fish and chips, and a fresh local veggie wrap.

Dinner has a seafood forward menu featuring Ahi Sashimi, Grilled Tako, Scallops, Mahi Mahi, Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli. From the land we offer a USDA Prime Beef Filet Mignon, Snake River Farms Wagyu Beef Cheeseburger, and Maui Nut Venison Loin.

Overpriced for the value of the food. Went to breakfast, $24 for a couple pancakes? $8 for coffee? It’s just coffee… Family of 5 spending $200 for a breakfast when nothing wildly extravagant was ordered is borderline criminal. Waiter was good but then disappeared for quite some time, making us wait. Then we had to pay via handheld device including the tip which being looked over the shoulder is not ideal, especially on an overpriced bill. Tasty meal, but skip this one due to the cost.

Decent Food, Bad Service. Server was all over the place except for our table. Barely noticed us or checked in.

This was an amazing experience. The table that we got had an amazing view, right before the sunset. Our server was amazing and he described all the food and answer all our questions. Now for the good part: food and drinks. I am not a big fan of cocktails but I tryed the Mai Tai and it was amazing. Food was on point and very well presented. One of my favorite dinners from our Hawaii trip

This was hands down the best meal we had on Maui! I don't know why we were able to get a reservation there at peak time just two days before but I am so glad we could. We had already had meals at all of the main restaurants in Whalers village as well as other places and they were all good but this fish dinner was in an entirely different class. The Mahi Mahi was so much better than any other we had on the island. The accompanying rice was delicious, the Cesar was very good and of course the view was just WOW. My only complaint was, the piped in music was just such a strange compilation of rock, punk, and whatever the rest of it was. I like most music but the music just did not fit the slightly upscale ambiance. It was more like something you would hear in a sports bar, management needs to rethink the playlist. Kody our waiter was very busy but made us feel important and cared for. We highly recommend!

Delicious food, ocean and sunset views and excellent service make Ulu Kitchen a favorite restaurant in Ka’anapali. I’ve been there twice in two weeks and will keep going back!

Great meal on the beach. We started with the coconut shrimp, which was amazing, paired with papaya and cucumber salad. I had the scallops and my husband had the venison. We were very happy with the food. It was expensive, but worth it.

Excellent food, great service, beautiful ocean view. I forgot my sunglasses and our server kindly moved us to another table so we could enjoy the view without the glare. Our server had perfect instincts on how to be friendly without being intrusive. She enhanced our dinner, but did not interfere with our evening out. We look forward to returning!!
