Ulu Kitchen by Merriman is an ocean front restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner service featuring local ingredients and recipes created by chef Peter Merriman.

We have indoor and outdoor dining options, with a full bar, and the most prime dining views in all of Ka'anapali. The breakfast menu features classic favorites like Eggs Benedits, omelettes, pancakes, as well as some unique dishes like the cure (breakfast ramen) and our Hawaiian chilaquiles.

Lunch features our signature smash burger, fresh ahi tuna poke bowl, tempura battered fish and chips, and a fresh local veggie wrap.

Dinner has a seafood forward menu featuring Ahi Sashimi, Grilled Tako, Scallops, Mahi Mahi, Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli. From the land we offer a USDA Prime Beef Filet Mignon, Snake River Farms Wagyu Beef Cheeseburger, and Maui Nut Venison Loin.

Delicious food, ocean and sunset views and excellent service make Ulu Kitchen a favorite restaurant in Ka’anapali. I’ve been there twice in two weeks and will keep going back!

Great meal on the beach. We started with the coconut shrimp, which was amazing, paired with papaya and cucumber salad. I had the scallops and my husband had the venison. We were very happy with the food. It was expensive, but worth it.

Excellent food, great service, beautiful ocean view. I forgot my sunglasses and our server kindly moved us to another table so we could enjoy the view without the glare. Our server had perfect instincts on how to be friendly without being intrusive. She enhanced our dinner, but did not interfere with our evening out. We look forward to returning!!

The setting is beautiful, unfortunately the service is lacking. We ate there several times for breakfast and had to wait extended lengths for our food and beverages.

We had dinner here as a recommendation from others and it was amazing. There were five of us celebrating my son and father-in-laws’ birthdays and Ulu did not disappoint. The food was wonderful with good sized portions. The view is stunning, and the service from the hostess, server to manager were on point. Highly recommend this place.

Our waiter Justin was excellent his recommendations were on point. The scallops and the New York Steak was delicious.

The temperature of the food and drinks was an issue (cold soup, room temperature $27 martini). The staff was friendly but tried upselling us on everything. Just go to monkeypod.
