Originated from the famed Uchi restaurant in Austin, founded by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole, Uchiko specializes in robust flavors infused with smoke and hints of char balanced with the fresh and clean profile that is the hallmark of its sister concept Uchi. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Happy Hour is offered everyday from 4:00 - 6:00 and on Sunday - Wednesday from 4pm - 10pm at the bar only. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

Chef Alex was friendly & made some great suggestions. Everything was delicious & we were treated to some birthday oysters as well. Also appreciated the N.A. beer. An expensive meal but worth it.

As always, Uchiko delivers top drawer ambience, cuisine, and service. First time in this Houston location. Super service - Devin is a superstar!

The food is good - it’s just overpriced, even for Houston sushi. We had a 7:45p reservation and we didn’t sit down until 8:30p. The ceilings are really low and whenever people order the Hot Rock plate and cook meat at their table, it stinks up the whole dining side of the restaurant and you leave there smelling like a GD Benihana. Our drinks took a solid 20 minutes every time we ordered a round. Waitress was great.

I ordered the somakase and it was one of my favorite meals ever. My fiancée had the veggie omakase and it was incredible. The hot mushroom dish they made for him with crunchy rice was outstanding.

Overall nice date spot, we had the Somakase where the waiter will recommend a 10 course meal for you. Somakase was $170 per person and final bill came up to $456 for two people. Uchiko had great food and service, I highly recommend for a date spot.

Usually like coming to uchiko/uchi for special occasions like our anniversary, but this time was disappointed. Waiter kept rushing us to order such as when she explained “would you guys like to place an order because we are about to get busy…”. Food was good as usual but service makes it or breaks it. Our anniversary was also not mentioned or celebrated. Feels silly but just mentioning would be nice since we noted it in the reservation. This location was a let down compared to the other locations in Texas.
