   I was really excited to try this place, especially after just coming back from the Philippines and seeing it all over social media. But honestly, I was really underwhelmed. As a foodie who’s open to all cuisines, I went in with an open mind and not super high expectations but I still found it disappointing. The oxtail kare-kare had barely any peanut flavour and came with an odd, gloopy, off brown sauce that just didn’t hit. The pork lechon liempo wasn’t soft or tender at all and I’ve had pork lechon both in the Philippines and here in London — this was the toughest I’ve ever had it. Surprisingly, the standout dish was the grilled aubergines, which I didn’t expect. Service wise, the waitress looked like she didn’t want to be there and things were really slow, even though it wasn’t SUPER busy. The one saving grace was the waiter with the glasses, he was genuinely lovely and super helpful. Portion sizes were okay, but for the price, it just wasn’t worth it. And considering how far out it is, I wouldn’t go back. Filipino food, in my experience, is bold, rich and full of flavour. This wasn’t that. I wouldn’t personally recommend it.

   My friend and I enjoyed our first dining experience at Turo Turo. The staff were very welcoming and Manager Imi definitely our afternoon a special touch. We originally come from the Philippines so our taste buds were looking for authenticity. Yes, we definitely achieved it and we will spread the word to family and friends. Looking forward to visiting Turo Turo in the very near future to try other interesting dishes.

   We've been hearing so much about Turo-Turo for quite a while and it did not disappoint. I've been to a few Filipino restaurants in London but this place hits different. The moment you step in, you're greeted with such a warm and friendly welcome, something quite elusive these days. The food was amazing, the place was relaxing and homey, and the service was absolutely impeccable! Our server, Justin was lovely and friendly and went out of his way to explain things to us, and made our stay so pleasant and comfortable. But everyone in the restaurant was so friendly. It was also lovely to have a quick chat with the owner and Chef who was so hands-on in the kitchen. We had the Beef Kare-Kare, Inasal Chicken, Ensaladang Talong, and Turon for dessert! All superb! This place's story is inspiring, and it makes so much sense to have their own space now. Will definitely be back, and looking forward to having a boodle feast next time around. Highly recommend!

   The food tasted just like home—comforting and flavourful. The staff were accomodating and the place has a cozy, relaxed vibe that made us feel comfortable right away. If you’re looking for real Filipino food and a warm atmosphere, this spot is worth checking out. We’ll definitely be back!

    Walked past many times, but never had the time to try. However, at the last minute, we booked a table on a busy Saturday night. We were greeted and seated immediately. The server was attentive and was knowledge about the menu. The whitebait starter was lovely and crisp and the salmon cerviche (Filipino style) was coconutty and fresh. The mains were a good portion and the chicken bicol express was really good. A bit disappointed by the prawn pancit. The prawns were great, but the noodles were a bit plain. However, I would definitely go back and try some of the other dishes - which looked great.
