Fried Green Tomatoes
We liked it, didn’t love it. Probably would t come back again just not the food we were hoping for (breakfast)
We are new to the area. It was good and loved the feel of the restaurant. If you reserve a table for two and say a high top is fine be aware that they will sit you at these really cute (but in my opinion, to small) live edge round table, we ended up requesting to sit at the bar instead and had a wonderful time! The bar tenders are friendly and amazing and the drinks were divine! I thought the green tomatoes were amazing but could have used a touch more salt. I had the Sriracha honey chicken and waffles. It was hot but nothing over the top for me! I thought it was good and very filling! My spouse had the creole shrimp Linguine and it was the best thing we tasted all night. Wonderful portion size although you’ll wish it was bigger the shrimp were cooked perfectly and the pasta and sauce were outstanding!
The food is outstanding. Only reason I did not give five stars is the drink was not great. Better to stick to non-mixed drinks here. Great outdoor space and attentive management.
The chicken and waffles was amazing! Try out their crispy brussel sprout app and then the desserts were amazing, if you even have an appetite after the main course!
Kris was our waitress and the sign on door asking to pardon them due to being short staffed. They worked so well as team didn’t even feel like that were understaffed and place was poppin inside and out! Highly recommended , food and drinks out of this world. Some of it is southern food with a twist and they hit the flavors right on the head!
My favorite orders are the biscuits for a cause, the meatloaf, the Lavender mocktail, and fried green tomatoes!
Wonderful service and the food was delicious! We will be going back there again soon!
Birthday. Food was terrific! Very nice place! We had a little issue with our order but the Manager, Antoine, totally took care of it. Look forward to returning for sure!
First time visit. I will return. Food was good
Food was amazing and service was excellent. Definitely going back.
Even though they were busy, I had great service! My favorite place
Was not good as I expected. Chicken portion was over cooked, and smaller than I wanted.
Make sure you make a reservation, especially, if you decide to go on the weekends. Food is GREAT,Service was Impeccable!
Always great food and great service! Tupelo Honey never disappoints!
The food was excellent and the service was great. Our group served quickly and we loved all the food we tried.
The only negative was that it was a little dark. One of our party had a little trouble with the spiciness but the staff was very quick to suggest that they could remake it and had the replacement was ready quickly.
I highly recommend Tupelo Honey in Raleigh.
This was the best food I’ve had in a long time. Everything was great from start to finish. The service was excellent as well! I will be returning soon!
Food is delicious but it was $51 for just me and my 14-year-old to have 1 entree and 2 drinks (non-alcoholic). Its just too expensive.
As usual Tupelo Honey did not disappoint. The atmosphere was welcoming. The service was mediocre deu to being short staffed. Overall It was a pleasant dining experience
Always amazing food and service!
I come here quite often, and I’m never disappointed ! The food is always awesome. The service is always great. I always order the exact same thing, and I’m always satisfied!
Our reservation was ready right on time. Staff members were all very friendly. Our server was wonderful and even put a birthday candle in my pecan pie! The food was delicious, we’ll definitely be back! Would suggest arriving early if you have a reservation because parking can be a little hard to come by.
Tupelo Honey never disappoints!
Amazing experience and server! Our server had great recommendations and was very knowledgeable of the menu. Would recommend getting the orange crush frose.
The 'Old Skool' breakfast bowl is AMAZING! Delicious blend of flavors and texture. I had coffee and it just wasn't very good. Our table was cluttered and lots of plates not cleared throughout the meal, beverages were empty several times. I was disappointed with the experience but the biscuits and blueberry jam and my breakfast bowl were excellent.
We had breakfast here while in town for the weekend for a wedding. Our server was great, they were helpful finding me options for my gluten allergy, my goat cheese grits were absolutely delicious and my fiancé loved the chicken biscuits!
The atmosphere both inside and outside the restaurant was very welcoming and peaceful. The servers and staff were very helpful and friendly & the food was amazing.
Nice and quiet, has a southern theme. Received our food which was good. Got a birthday dessert which was cute. Waitress was respectful, nothing out of the ordinary that would give negative or outstanding praises.
I had the shrimp and grits. They were amazing!!! The Southern Cosmo was delicious too!!
I always love coming here for a special occasion. The food is *delicious* and the outdoor seating area is really nice.
Fried chicken was horrible. Fried, stringy, and I suspect several days old and briefly warmed up before serving. On top of that, very small pieces. Mac and cheese was like chewing gum. Again must have been old. Mahi mahi was super small, maybe 3 oz at best, and dry. Not worth the $25. Brussel sprouts, again, dry. Service and drinks were good but rest of experience was a bad experience and overpriced. We would have complained but it was a birthday meal - and with food this bad, would not get better if offered another option. Fast food would have been better and a quarter of the price. Much better options in Raleigh. Avoid at all cost.
As always, our experience was great. My daughter and I eat there usually 3 weekends out of the month. Tip: They are extremely popular, so on busy weekends or holiday weekends especially for breakfast it is best to make a reservation.
We had a small group gathering in the outside dining area. So easy to make an outdoor seating reservation. Very nice! Street noise can get a bit loud at times, but otherwise it was a great! Would definitely return.
The staff were very nice. That was the highlight. We sat outside and the flies were obnoxious. Our fried green tomatoes and salad were nice - but the dark meat chicken entree and mac and cheese looked pathetic (small and shriveled ) and were definitely underwhelming.
Love their sweet and spicy chicken and the Mac and Cheese Waffles. Sides are good also potato cracklings are great.
Made a reservation for outdoors, and as we walked to our outdoor table, some people walked in off the street at sat down (in our spot). Rather than asking this party to move, our server brought us back inside and cleared off another table that was right in the sun. Very disappointing. The server spilled water on our feed through the table, and service was generally slow. It wasn't busy enough to warrant the slow service. Thankfully the food was great.
As always, I had such a great time at Tupelo Honey! I tried the potato cracklings and they were so good that I had to get another order of them. I brought a friend along this time, and she enjoyed her food and the cracklings as well. She’s super picky but was pleased with her experience as well!☺️☺️☺️
I reserved Tupelo Honey’s Oberlin Rd location for my husbands 43rd birthday last night, we had a party of seven. Although the food was great the waitress was very cold, absolutely no personality at all. She had the attitude of a bartender rather than what you would expect from wait staff. It’s all good though because we ensured HER service reflected in HER tip. I made it very clear in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and we also told her directly but there was no complimentary birthday desert offered or any type of birthday gesture which was a bit disappointing. However, the food was great! Everything came out at the same time, it was hot, seasoned well, and there were no complaints there. I would definitely go back but we would definitely hope for a different server next time.
I took my mother there for a birthday lunch. The food was really good we ordered the fried pickles and I was eager to try the fried green tomatoes. Both were delicious. We both ordered the Tupelo shrimp and grits. The grits were creamy and shrimp cooked perfectly. We are both eager to return and try more items on the menu!
Food was great. A little noisy but festive!
Everything about this visit was amazing.
