Excellent all around. Definitely recommend.
The food was Ok defiantly not what i was expecting. We ordered an appetizer and my youngest daughter's food first however we actually got it after we got our entrees. Never once were we asked for refills on our drinks, my coffee was cold and got even colder once i out creamer in it so needless to stay i didn't drink it. When our appetizer came out we were half way done with our food so i told them we didnt want it anymore. They said we could keep it cause it was already made and they would take it off our check. When I tried the dip it was cold and hard, seemed like it was made and just left sitting out. Defiantly not an experience i would recommend to anyone.
excellent food and service on a very busy afternoon
The food was delicious, it was served quickly, and our drinks were never empty. That is really all I am looking for in good service so they checked all my boxes.
Tupelo Honey was very good. The service was exceptional and I was greeted with smiles from everyone. My only complaint was the food seemed overpriced for what it was.
Awesome food. Complimentary valet was huge given the location
Great restaurant. Great service. Would go back. Highly recommended.
We have never had a bad meal or service at this Tupelo Honey and really like several of the sides and entrees. The rewards program has some great deals. Be sure to make reservations though. If we were closer we would probably go more often.
Love the brunch at Tupelo just sad that I have to drive so fair to enjoy it. Wish they would come to Greensboro Triad area
Great service. Coffee and Avocado toast were fantastic.
4 adults totally enjoyed our food and drink with you on Sunday morning! Our server”vegan(?)”, bar area, was patient and relaxed as he waited for our orders. The 4 of us were joy filled, perhaps a little loud as we rekindled a friendship from 20 years past but he did not pressure us one bit. Our voices were well absorbed by this warm environment. Brunch perfect and I dare say healthy too. Thank you Tupelo Honey
Enjoyed it! Pancakes came out cold but were immediately replaced. Great service.
Good food and good service. The restaurant kind of busy, but with a reservation it wasn't hard to get a table and our food came out at a good pace.
They have free valet however only one guy was working the valet so it was a wait getting the car. Made reservations at 7 , when we checked in we were told that they still hadn’t seated the 6:15 reservations and it was going to be a wait, making a reservation helped but it was still a wait and they were extremely busy with the small wait area it became crowded very quickly. Finally got to a table ordered the catfish was told they were out of catfish , so I ordered trout / 25 minutes later told they were out of trout. Finally ordered shrimp and grits and got good...so it’s a good restaurant also ate at the one in Asheville NC going Asheville to be better.
The food was excellent and well prepared. We got quite a lot of food for the price of the dishes and were very pleased at the value overall.
My experience here wasn't the greatest. We had a reservation and from the second we walked in we were told there would be a little bit of a wait because they are running behind. Okay fine. My husband and I went to the bar, everything was fine there.
We were sat at our table. Ordered three appetizers and ordered our entrees. The appetizers all came out together, okay great. Halfway, maybe less than halfway through eating our appetizers our entrees came out. Right there is when my aggravation started. We didn' have a chance to enjoy or finish our appetizers because our entrees were served. The food runner almost spilled my soup in my lap because she was carrying way too many plates and was rushing to put the plates down. No one came to clear any dishes from our tiny table to make room for our entrees. After stuffing our entire meal down.. we ordered dessert. The waitress brought us spoons and the check. We didn't ask for the check nor did we even have our desserts in front of us yet.
My husband and I wanted a relaxing, enjoyable date night but instead what we got was food basically thrown in front of us and then rushed out the door.
The menu was more limited than I recall. Being “dairy free” that further restricts choice.
We were ten minutes early for our reservation, but had to wait for thirty minutes more. The noise level made conservation difficult. But the up side was it was a holiday weekend and crowd resulted in a very busy night, and yet the service, while slow, was pleasantly well informed and helpful and the food excellent. We will certainly be back, but a bit more careful in selecting the date.
Just average. Not sure I would go again or recommend.
Incredibly rushed dining experience!
Despite a reservation, we waited 20 minutes in a jammed entryway for a table. After being seated, it was very clear that rapidly 'flipping' tables is the priority here. Appetizers/entrees/drinks/bills arrive in any manner that facilitates getting you out the door. While we were finishing our drinks, a guy showed up with a giant plastic bin of dirty dishes, plops it actually on our table, and starts grabbing anything that can be cleared!
If paying $40/per person to be rushed through a mediocre food dining experience is your cup of tea, then this is your place!
While it was Velentines weekend, this was the worst service I’ve ever received at Tupelo. It took forever to be greeted and it was far to long between visits to the table. The server forgot to put my drink order in and then when we had finished our food asked if I even still wanted it since we were finished?! Yes I still want my drink...but no, just bring me my check so we can leave. Aside from the horrible service the food was good.
Been to this location several times. As always the food was very good. The ambiance is nice and the staff was friendly.
We had a wonderful experience. Our host staff was very accommodating. The food was very tasty. The server was friendly but did not seem to care much about timely mannerism.
Great atmosphere, great service and great food. Also, I love that the restaurant provides complimentary valet!
Made reservations for 9:30pm on Valentine’s Day to surprise my girlfriend. We arrived at 9:15 to be sure we didn’t miss them and or hold others up. We were told that all reservations were running about 15 mins behind (totally understandable since it’s a holiday). The hostesses were very nice and professional. We asked if we could wait at the bar for our table and they said that would would be fine and we would receive a text when it was ready. Sat at the bar for approximately 12-15 mins before anyone greeted us. All of the bartenders seemed to be upset and rude from the time they actually noticed us wanting to order drinks. We ordered waters finally and I tried a signature drink. Drink was good, service was not. Paid for that drink and went to our table. Our waiter was fairly new and very nice. We ordered our dinner and about 20 mins after that we were told that they were out of what I ordered (which happens on busy nights of course). Why however did it take 20 mins to figure that out ? I ordered another item and over an hour after our original reservation time, our food finally arrived. Food wasn’t great and we were annoyed. They took off the salad my girlfriend got for some reason, I’m guessing to be nice and help the bill. In the end, the hostesses & our awesome waiter were the only things we had a good experience with. Everything else was very disappointing and we won’t be back anytime soon.
We went for Valentine’s Day. We ordered - they were out of our appetizer. We said no problem - can we have an extra biscuit instead. Were told no sorry we have a limited amount. Then they were out of our sides. Which would have been fine if they told us - but the girl dropping off our food said your sides will be right out. Never came. Then a drink that we never got was on our bill - we asked for it to be taken off before they ran our card - said no problem - we were charged anyway. We were then given a coupon for a free appetizer for our next visit by the server for charging our card - no refund - no manager ever acknowledges the train wreck that was our night out.
I got sick after eating there on Friday. It’s Monday and I still am not better. Upset stomach, sour stomach, pains in stomach. Won’t be back.
Valentines Day...per waiter they brought in extra tables from the patio to accommodate more guests. The staff nor the kitchen were equipped to handle the added volume. Went to the bar for a drink while waiting for our reservation as we arrived early and it took several minutes to get a bartender’s attention at a non crowded bar. Waited some time to flag down some one to get check and then had to again after several minutes flag someone down to get someone to run the check.
The server never told us of any specials nor informed us of items they were out of until we started ordering our food. The only think Hot was the famous fried chicken we ordered and our server didn’t come to check until we were halfway into our food. The server only apologized and said he would take care of it. He came back with the check while we were still eating and never asked if we needed anything else(we were planning to order dessert).
Our server told us he had spoken to the manager and they would be comping appetizer along with 30% of the bill. They comped the appetizer and the bill was discounted roughly only 15%.
Because the tables were so close together we could overhear that most if not all of the patrons around us were having similar issues and that many people were needing to have portions of their checks comped by the management.
We were sadly unimpressed by our first visit to this establishment, after having made the reservation several weeks in advance.
Our meal was WONDERFUL!! Food was perfect and staff was friendly and professional. Only complaint was we were sat close to 20 minutes behind our reservation time, however this was on Valentine’s Day night and was slightly expected. Highly recommend this place!
Food was great (albeit the dessert was a little small) and service was good. Had a 7pm reservation which I guess just got us a spot in the rotation as we had to wait half an hour to be seated as the place was packed and clearly they hadn’t planned well to accommodate. Overall, though, very nice dinner.
Sat down for dinner and Drinks took 30 minutes
Even though super busy on a holiday, food and service were great.
Valentines Day is usually difficult in a restaurant because of the crowds. Tupelo fit in an extra row of tables in order to accommodate more diners for the special holiday. Unfortunately, that meant that we had a tiny table inches from other couples who were also seated at tiny tables. Service was slow because of the crowds. The fried green tomatoes contained tomatoes that were very hard on the inside. Lesson learned, don’t order a tomato dish out of season!! The house Chardonnay was atrocious. The bar appeared to be understaffed. While I appreciate that I was able to go out to dinner for Valentine’s Day, I don’t think I will be rushing back to Tupelo Honey anytime soon.
Slow service, over cooked and under cooked food. Had to send blackened Cat Fish back twice, also waitress un-attentive.
Three of the five entrees came out wrong and were not corrected because the kitchen was backed up and one was allergy related. The kids grilled cheese was burnt. The service was super slow and the waitress kept calling my son a girl. We have been there a few times and this was by far our worst experience. We were not offered any sort of compensation, not even a free dessert. It was a disappointing night to say the least.
Ambiance caught us off guard as it felt a bit more like a diner. Service was OK. Had to request to have used plates removed to make room for our entrees and had to request water refills a couple of times.
The food, however, was excellent! Very flavorful and generous portions!
I took my friend here for Valentine's day, having never been before, and we had amazing time. It was relatively quiet and, although we were absolutely amazed by the menu, our waitress was absolutely amazing at helping us choose our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody.
Fantastic hostess...after that it was downhill. I sat in the bar and service was less than engaging. A bit dissatisfied after my fantastic experience in Asheville 2 days earlier.
Lots of activity at this location in the shadow of NCSU. Server handled our group of 7 with efficiency and promptness. Surely worth a return visit.
I did a courthouse wedding and decided last minute to do brunch at a place with Mimosas. We had been told Tupelo was a great place to go, so I made last minute reservations for 10 here. Not only were they willing to accommodate us so last minute, but they were so flexible with the time! I had to push our reservation back because things took a little longer than expected, but they worked with us! When we got there everyone greeted us with joy, immediately sat us and got drinks rolling. The food was amazing! I wish I remembered our waiters name because he was the absolute sweetest and made sure everything was perfect. The staff and managers made a special day even more special for us. It was my first time here, but it definitely wont be my last.
