   We dine at this Truluck location every other month. It is one of our regular special dining establishments. The atmosphere, service, and most of all the food are consistently outstanding.    Had a friend's birthday dinner. Rose our server was outstanding. Food was awesome,stone crabs were excellent. The piano bar afterwa6was relaxing and the bartenders were great. A bit pricey but well worth it for a special occasion!

    The sea bass tasted old- fishy and not good at all. I ate just two bites and left the rest. My husband had sea bass cooked a different way- his was awful as well. Very loud- impossible to talk with the person next to me. We won't be back. There are many places that are much nicer to eat with fresh tasting fish.

    Our server offered and suggested a certain type of Oysters but didn't tell us they were $65-$70. We had two servers. We started out with the one who suggested the overpriced Oysters but ended up with another server who was great. Only memorable thing about last night was that we got a small Baked Alaskan for dessert. Spent $300 on our anniversary dinner for 2. Manager never came around to check on us

    This was my first time visiting Truluck’s and it will not be my last. Our experience was impeccable from beginning to end. The food was delicious and our server, Waylon, was amazing. We had such a great experience!

    For a $500 meal with no alcohol I was very disappointed. It wasn’t crowded so that wasn’t the reason. The Dallas Trulucks is fantastic. Houston not so much.

    Thank you for making my wife and my anniversary so special! It was our first time there, and could not have been more impressed. Drinks were on point! Food was even better! I had ribeye with lobster Oscar, lobster mashed potatoes, my wife the miso Glazed sea bass! I have never has seafood that tasted this fresh before unless we were on the beach in California, or Mexico! Dessert was OK, but it was completely complimentary for our anniversary so 5 stars on value! Again thank you for making our night, one to remember. We will be back!

    Truluck’s has been my favorite restaurant for over 10 years and they still hold the title. The ambiance, courtesy, food quality and professional service reigns this restaurant as one of the top 5 in Houston. Stone crab season is always the best time to visit, but any time will be something you won’t forget. Thanks again for an excellent night out!

    It was my birthday and everything was perfect. The entire meal from the appetizer to the birthday dessert was fabulous! We had crab cake appetizer, miso-glazed seabass, blackened redfish, sautéed spinach and lyonnaise potatoes. For my birthday dessert we had key lime pie.

    Fabulous food, service and atmosphere as always. Unfortunately, they had a shipment of Alaskan King Crab yesterday on Friday and we ordered 2lbs for the table as an addition to our Seafood Tower. Our server came back and shared they only had 1 pound left. So we agreed and replaced the additional pound with Stone Crab Claws they have flown in. Shortly afterwards the manager came to our table and shared that another party on the other side of the restaurant ordered the 1 pound available, but he checked and could give us 1/4 pound of King Crab only as that was the last they had until Monday afternoon. At this point we decided on a South African Lobster Tails which were wonderful! Truluck’s never disappoints but I will call ahead and inquire if I need to reserve the king crab prior to our next visit. Blue Point oysters on the 1/2 shell are to die for as well. Great server, she was awesome even through the king Crab fiasco. You definitely should have dinner at Truluck’s if you are a lover of the fresh just caught from the ocean seafood.

    Our food was very attractive and tasty, the service was excellent and timely (thank you, Rose!), and the ambience very pleasant. We especially love their excellent Florida stone crabs and enjoyed them again on this visit. Two reasons for giving a 4-star instead of 5-star rating. One, despite living in Texas for many years, we are not fond of spicy foods and found several things to be spicier than we would have preferred: the still-delicious lobster bisque, the still-delicious shrimp cocktail, the broccoli (included red pepper flakes), and the dipping sauce for the crabs (though we were split on this one: I like their standard mustard sauce while my wife found it too spicy and instead used a custom-blended tartar/cocktail sauce provided by our server). Two, while we love — and deliberately chose — the stone crabs, they have become quite expensive, driving down our "value" rating. Truluck's is still an excellent restaurant, one we continue to enjoy and appreciate — but one we can't quite give our highest rating.

    First time to Trulucks. Our server Hillary was friendly and outstanding. We put together various chilled seafood for appetizers which was beautifully served on a tower with smoking dry ice. The stone crab claws and shrimp were excellent. Our party had scallops, branzino, redfish and Chilean seabass and all dishes were fresh and perfectly cooked and the side of crab fried rice was great. They brought an ice cream bomb for dessert for the birthday being celebrated and we also ordered their caramel glazed carrot cake- delicious and shareable. Overall, a great experience!
