Food is sublime. Server was inexperienced but very energetic, great effort. The bar has a very odd selection of hard liquor.
The burger is really tasty!
Healthy organic choices on the menu.
Cameron, our waiter, was outstanding.
My adult daughter and I ate here for an early dinner. Food was ok but not amazing. Service was very good. There were many families there with young children and a lot of noise. Fortunately we were seating in the far back of the restaurant away from the children. This is not a place to go for a dinner with entree choices. It is more a burger or pizza spot right near Macy’s for a quick bite. They do serve alcohol and wine but it is very noisy and not relaxing. If you are looking for a spot to catch a glass or wine and a light meal after shopping, it works but otherwise I don’t suggest it for a nice dinner.
Our server was professional and kind. Dinner was delicious as always.
Server very friendly!
I've been a loyal true customer since they opened but both service and food portions have gone way down. I have taken out food numerous times recently and gotten home to see a snack for a meal as they gave me so little in the container. With prices being fairly high I was really upset. I also took out a cocktail and watched the waitress make it and not only was the cup only half full she added water to make it half full. So disappointed lately I need to find a new go to place.
Much better than our last two visits. Hosts were welcoming, server was friendly & on top of it, food was tasty.
We had a very enjoyable leisurely lunch! Service was fast and excellent!
It took longer than usually expected for our food to arrive. We also weren’t given eating utensils when our appetizer finally arrived. Overall, the food was good, good to see so many patrons dining in and outdoors at this type of “healthy eating” restaurant.
Cobb salad was ehh but everything else was delicious!
Delicious food, our server was friendly and knowledgable and really great drinks!
Really loud, poor service, out of basic foods like lettuce so we had to change our order multiple times.
Fresh ingredients and tasty menu! Lots of choices and Gluten Free/Vegan options.
Always consistently great food and service. We go there every time we shop at Walnut Creek
Always good food and excellent service!!
Great service, great food ❤️
Great food (tried the new vegan double cheeseburger and it was delicious), seated right on time, the servers and hosts had positive energy and the patio was very nice (shaded).
We enjoyed ourselves - delicious food; highly recommended.
This was my second visit and I treated a friend for lunch who had never been here. We both enjoyed the experience - Food was great, server took good care of us, and we will definitely return. Oh, and plenty of parking makes it even nicer!
Turkey burger with kale salad….delicious. Just the right amount of seasoning.
Cold tortillas in the shrimp tacos & steak tacos. And they used CANNED CORN! Come on. How are you going to serve canned corn on a $20 plate when fresh corn is in season.
Overhyped restaurant with a good location.
We had a reservation. The restaurant was not very crowded but super loud. I think it had to do with where we were sitting. It took over 20 minutes to get our drinks. The pita bread and hummus, usually our favorite, was a disappointment. The pita bread was more like crispy, baked tortillas rather than soft pita bread that we normally get. The food was fine. Service was fine. We’ve had much better experiences there in the past. A bit of a bummer last night.
Great food and service. A “go to” spot for healthy, great tasting meals.
I've been going to True Food Kitchen since it opened in Walnut Creek. When I went back after Covid restrictions were loosened I was disappointed to see that 2 of my favorite items were no longer on the menu, the Cauliflower Polenta and the Inside Out Quinoa Burger. My other favorite, the Ancient Grains Bowl is still available but the portion size is noticeably smaller than pre-Covid. Yesterday I ordered the Kale Cobb Salad and added shrimp. The salad was delicious but the shrimp was overcooked and tough. Next time I'll order the salad alone or with tofu. All in all I like TFK and will continue to go there but hope they bring some of my old favorites back.
Always the best experience at True Food!
Met a friend. Always great food and drinks but quite loud inside so be prepared….
Good healthy food, great setting, solid service.
Usually service is great, friendly and fun.
On this day there did not appear to be enough servers. We waited and waited at the table
then we noticed we could order on line. We ordered online menu but I prefer looking at
actual menu. Finally when a server was close I -asked him for water, which he eventually
brought. At that time we asked him to look out for our order. He did bring order to table and was friendly. However it was same problem paying the bill.
Service was horrible when he was taking order he was pushing us to order because he said kitchen is closing he did not bring drinks it was like we were annoying him
It made us a little uncomfortable that staff no longer wore masks since they were handling food. Other than that, we had a good experience
Very healthy ingredients. Gluten Free options are great!
The food was cold and fish was over cooked. True food kitchen has been one of favorite place to visit over the years, however, the quality and service has gone down. The last time take out order was missing my son's pizza and this time dine-in experience wasn't great. It isn't worth the 30 mins drive anymore.
we ordered the salmon and it was good. I think the edamame dumplings was not really tasty and the wrapper did not taste really good.
I went for Father’s Day. Employees were very friendly. Food was delicious (and healthy lol). Their beverages (especially their Dragonfruit Limeade) was so perfect considering how hot it was. I def will return.
Everything was great except service. Very slow. They forgot to pick up our plates, check took a long time. Drinks and menus took a long timr
Great food, fun, buzzy atmosphere.
It is hard to beat the menus selection and the food is always great!
Loved everything. Was great for my family with a vegan. We loved all our food and the portions.
