   We love to eat at True Food! The food is always great! It’s wonderful to have a restaurant to go to with healthy food. Our favorite person there is Jerome, ask for him when you can. We give Jerome the highest rating as well!

   I love True Food Kitchen. However, TFK needs to invest in a waiter electronic notification system that involves a pleasant bell and a light board with numbers. This is normal in the restaurant industry, which I worked in for seven years. What is not normal, acceptable, or classy is an employee screaming out incomprehensible instructions, particularly in a high ceiling, open floor plan setting. This is absurd to observe and torture to endure. Whoever thought of this should be fired, as should everyone agreeing with it and everyone agreeing to do it. This does not pass the minimal threshold for common sense required to participate in society.

   Our waiter wasn't very friendly.`We hadn't had a chance to review the menu and he kept asking are you ready now? He was rushing us to make a decision, and restaurant was not very busy. The salads we both selected were tasty.

   We have dined here many times and the food quality was pretty low this time. Soup was very salty and the chicken quite dry. The poke bowl had a very small portion and the forbidden rice was clumped. There was a huge chunk of Parmesan on the pizza but little mozzarella. One of the best items was removed-quinoa burger- and I keep hoping it will return. Overall expensive for lower quality than it used to be. They still have good vegetarian and vegan options in the form of bowls. Just don’t get the poke bowl or bone broth chicken noodle soup.

   I ordered the Peruvian burger with blue cheese cooked medium. It was juicy and tasty. The sweet potato cubes were just so so. A bit dried out. My date had a veggie salad bowl with brown rice. She felt the rice was not completely cooked. She is Chinese so I consider her a connoisseur when it comes to rice. The carrots and broccoli were done however. She added salmon and it was fine. They first seated us near the kitchen and it was really loud and the Door Dash drivers were standing around our table, so as I was on a date I asked to be moved to a quieter location. The interior tables face the wall. I gave her the view "outward" but I did not really like facing "the wall". I like to take it all in when I go out.

   I made reservations for five and we were seated at a table for four. Many larger tables were available. The party next to us were six and they were seated at a table for four. Very cramped. One reason to eat here is because they have vegan option. Unfortunately there were no vegan options for brunch.

   This is a fave eatery of mine because the food is super fresh, super innovative, super healthy, and nicely presented. Hard to choose because so many faves. Slightly pricey, but good value. Inside is usually very noisy and outside is often very windy (front patio is basically a Stanford Shopping Center wind tunnel), so my food gets cold very quickly when trying to avoid Covid by eating outside. Propane heaters available, but they’re not so healthy.

   Ordered avocado toast. A thin virtually translucent layer of avocado. Forgot the smoked Gouda as well. Mentioned it to server who spoke to mngr and came back and said he’d make another one to go. Really? We live an hour and a half away. No discount offered either. Way overpriced and definitely unsatisfactory.

    The chicken soup is fabulous! Dessert was delicious. Salad was very fresh and tasty. Staff is effigy and professional. Only complaint is the constant yelling from the kitchen manager. Loud and annoying. Not sure what he was yelling out but it was non-stop And odd.

    Would have been a fantastic meal if only the music wasn’t so loud. The waiters even had to yell for us to hear what they were saying (and I have good hearing)

    Enjoyed expanded menu selections on Spring 2023 menu. Would like to see Chia pudding returned to dessert menu. The noise from the chefs calling out orders in the open kitchen was too much. Having several servers waiting on one table seems to be the trend now but it requires much better communication, ex: entrees brought to table before appetizer plates cleared and then servers seeming unaware of how backwards that is. Servers all seem a bit confused by the flow or lack thereof. We were a party of 5 with a reservation and were squished into a 4 person table (bench on one side). We requested more space and staff accommodated the change for us. We were all pleased with our entrees.

    I really like this place and try different items when I come. The Korean steak is my favorite. This time we had the kale Cobb salad which was tasty, the poki tuna and the bone broth chicken noodle soup which was way too salty and had to send it back. The tea is always heavenly and the service very attentive.

    True Foods is terrific caring for folks with allergies - this instance they delivered the wrong order to me and it had gluten in it but that was quickly rectified. Service was slower and less attentive than previous experiences.

    The food in general was not up to par, and the service was very lackluster. It used to be one of my go to's, but after yesterday we were really disappointed and I'm resistant to go back for a little while.

    Took more than 15 min for wait staff to come & introduce themselves, since it was Mother's Day They were busy ! Good ordred also took more than 30 min to arrive at our table . Other than that ambience was good & food was also good.

    Advertised as "Mother's Day" special with a gift for the Mom. It ended up being a menu with "Mother's Day Special" at the top. Nothing really special about it? No gift was given and we were completely unaware of how this was any different from any other day (other than the menu). Also the food took too long to come. The eggs tasted great so no complaints about the food itself. I would not go there for a special occasion.

    Ate outside and. as usual, it's a wind tunnel and quite cold despite it being a warm day. Recommend one comes prepared with a jacket, no matter how warm the weather. Heaters not always readily available. Otherwise, good food and pleasant to eat here. Word of warning: the sound level inside is deafening, so if you have any hearing problem in noisy areas, best eat outside

    We were promptly seated, since we had a reservation. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I had a Cobb Salad, which was excellent. I had an iced tea, which was fine. The only problem is that it is very noisy. I wish they brought bread to the table.

    Wait staff was slow, got our order wrong and didn't deliver drinks - when asked they said they were out of what we ordered. Super noisy, tables close together so it's really hard to have a conversation.

    I ordered the hummus. Paid extra for GF pita. Paid some more money for extra GF pita. I asked them for a little extra garnish - the cucumber, feta, and onions and was told it would be another $8. Seriously?!!!!! That seems ridiculous!

    Not sure what's going on here. An interesting menu, but the food we ordered had issues. Some dishes were not hot (lasagna). I had the panini, and missed that it was not on bread, but rather a wrap. More of a quesadilla. Not expecting that. Ambiance was that of a dining hall, pretty busy and loud. May try the restaurant again at a slow time.

    Waited 30 minutes for a check. Second serving of wine showed up after we were done eating and then we were charged for it. Service is usually good so must have been an off night

    I have been dinning at True Food Kitchen since they opened many years ago. The food is delicious, the hummus plate with pita bread is always an excellent starter! The kale salad is suburb, pizzas are good and healthy. I've never had poor service here, and that says a lot!
