Absolutely wonderful every time we go here.
No-wait seating; timely, professional service; extremely tasty, well-portioned meal. Thank you, Trombino's. Can't wait to return!
I hope you folks can take constructive feed back. The veal Marsela was a big disappointment ! It had a very "spongy" texture to it. My wife tried a bite, and thought it was all "fat". I reassured it wasn't because all my bites were the same. For $29.00 I left very disappointed, no sense in telling the wait staff . She appeared to be so busy, she forgot 2 times to bring us more olive oil for the bread. My son ordered the Brandied shrimp and just got some plain shrimp. This is the 2nd time we have driven all the way from the west side to dine here and were very disappointed. Should have dined at Il Vacino.
We have dined at Trombino's Bistro Italiano a number of times and this time, like all the times prior, was very good! The food is consistent, and the service as well!
The food was better than ever! Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and big portions.
One of our favorite places for Italian, So glad to have you back open for dine in
Outstanding dinner and service!
Restaurant really goes above and beyond on their protocol for distancing tables and keeping both patrons and staff safe!!!
Three of our family members dined this time. We felt safe with the COVID-19 measures in place. Bread was great. We ran low on oil, but a server brought more in a disposal cup. We ordered the Veal Marsala, Chicken Carbonara, and Spaghetti and Meatballs. The salad was tasty (but too many olives). Our entrees were well prepared and served in a timely manner. Between the bread and salad, we only ate about half of our entrees, which went home for the next day's dinner. We were too full for dessert. Normally, we order wine, which they have a nice selection, but we did not order any this time.
Trambino's has been our favorite Italian restaurant in the city since we came here 17 years ago. We had our recital dinner here and this is THE restaurant for Valentine's, B-Days and especially anniversaries.
Recommend? A thousand times yes!
It was a pleasure dining at Trombino's last night. They have constructed plexiglass panels between the booths, tables are distanced and the restaurant felt save amongst the changes required for the virus. We started with calamari which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I had lasagna and the serving was large so I brought home and will enjoy the rest. My friend had chicken parmesan and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. The service was timely and our dinner courses were spaced appropriately. I so appreciate it. I so dislike receiving my entry while enjoying my appetizer or salad and this restaurant managed this aspect perfectly.
We had a wonderful experience at Trombino's. The service was excellent, as was the food and the general ambience. We will look forward to dining there again!
We had come to celebrate my wife's birthday, and it was just a terrific experience. Great, friendly ambiance, friendly waitstaff, and terrific food. It was a wonderful return to fine dining after such a long Covid-19 dry spell! Many thanks to all at Trombino's and you can rely on us returning soon.
Staff were great and restaurant was clean. Only complaint was slow speed of food coming out of the kitchen. The entry was full when we left. Glad we had our masks on.
Excellent food as always, they are trying to run with too few servers though, even for 50% capacity
Once again, Trombinos is at its best, even in these troubled times
Delicious food! Our waiter was great!
Food was excellent, service was friendly, and we will return!
The food was delicious as always but I did miss the table cloths.
Took my husband for dinner for Father’s Day. It was absolutely delicious. First time here and the Italian food was very good! The veal was very tender and I loved my scampi pasta dinner. Will definitely come again.
Very nice place, service and food is always excellent
The food quality and service is always consistent, and inviting
Wonderful dining experience!
Great food and great service
Another awesome experience. Our waiter, Jeremy, was very helpful, knowledgeable and always checking on us. The food was terrific as always. Couldn't have enjoyed our Anniversary any better anywhere else.
Another great dinner. Very reasonably priced. The bar is a little dated and cramped
It has been awhile since we ordered the veal Marsala and in the interim the original recipe has been lost. What used to be delicious was unrecognizable. Who ever heard of breaded (?) and “tenderized” veal in Marsala??! And the sauce bore no resemblance to Marsala. It was really disappointing, especially when I had my mouth set for a dish that used to be superb. VERY disappointing. The waiter offered to get me something else but I declined. This is our favorite nearby restaurant and we dine here often. First disappointing meal in years. Find the old recipe folks!
Love Trombino’s! Food was delicious. We were seated just after we arrived.
Service was just okay.
We will be back.
We showed up at 7:45 on Friday the 3/6 for our dinner. We had reservations and we seated rather quickly. It took our server a long time to get to our table. 15 mins before they took a drink order. We ordered quickly after that. My wife got Lasagna. It was cool in the center. Tasted ok but seemed to be homemade but was frozen for a while. Taste was ok. I ordered the veal parmigiana. It came out on 2 plates. One with spaghetti and Mariana. And the other with this giant breaded piece of meet. With a touch of Mariana and a crap load of cheese. The plate was burning hot. My guess was from a microwave. It was supper hot and over cooked tough and chewy. My guess was that this was frozen veal. All though it tasted closer to pork. Our waitress was always missing. And when she did come to the table she acted as if we were more trouble then we were worth. And she truly seemed to hate her job. I went to the rest room once, and I found the waitress there texting on her phone. We wanted to try dessert but it took the waitress to long to check on us after being served. So we just paid without even seeing the check. The prices where reasonable. But the food was just passable. And the service sucked. Go to scrapes across the street better food and service. This was the first time we ate here so it could have been bad luck. But I got the feeling that this was once great and is now on the way down.
Our waiter Steve did a great job
Great, and waiter was perfect. We got off to a rocky start with the hostess that seated us . She was doing her best to pick a fight with the Asian hostess that greeted us and was obnoxiously speaking to the rest of the staff as she walked through the restaurant to seat us in the back. The rest of the staff remained professional but her behavior detracted from the otherwise wonderful staff. She needs an attitude adjustment!
Everything was good but the time it took us to get our food. It took over 40 minutes and our server didn't give us reports of the progress. I know it's not the servers fault that the food took so long. Besides 40 minutes being too, it's even more important for me is I take meds that I have to wait 1hr before I can eat and then only have 30 minutes to eat. I basically had to eat my dinner in 5 minutes
Great food! Good service! I thoroughly enjoyed the bruschetta. We will definitely be back!
I wanted to try Trombino's because I work nearby and virtually everyday on the drive home the parking lot is packed. The one other time I tried to eat there, I didn't have a reservation (you never need reservations in ABQ) and they told us it would be an hour and a half wait.
So, I was excited to try it out. The interior has a very professional paint job which tries to evoke the old country. It is appealing. The table and chairs felt much more downscale. The menu has a lot of options. Of the four people in our party, three felt very underwhelmed. The flavor was okay, the ingredients were nothing special, the way they treated the ingredients were also not particularly special.
For our group of four. Entrees, two desserts, no drinks was $100. For that amount of money one could easily go to some of the more sophisticated Italian restaurants in town and eat much better.
We have eaten at Trombino's several times in the past, but this time was certainly not as good. I know it was a Saturday night, but they packed in guests there like sardines in a can. I was seated in a chair that protruded out into the aisle and was constantly being bumped by people trying to get by. The main problem was the Lasagna, just terrible! It came in a bowl filled and looked like a rounded mound of "something." It was covered so much with red sauce and cheese that, I kid you not, it was difficult to find the pasta! I pushed the sauce and cheese aside to see what was underneath and found several layers of way under cooked pasta literally glued and stuck together. It was like a solid block. Terrible dish!! When I want an Italian dinner, I'll go to Joe's Pasta House from now on. They know how to treat guests and prepare far better Italian dishes. Its so sad, Trombino's used to be my favorite...
Great evening of good food and relaxing atmosphere, service was extraordinary!
Best Italian food available in Albuquerque in my opinion.
We were made to feel like family with the warm welcome from the staff and our waiter. We had a group of 8 and everyone had something different and all the meals and flavors were unique and enjoyed by all. A true highlight to our visit to Albuquerque.
The food and service are always the very best!
Thanks Trombinos is probably the best restaurant in Albuquerque
Always a great meal and service
Reservations are highly recommended. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is awesome. We had not been there in quite a few years but will be back soon. Prices are moderate but not extravagant.
The Egg Plant Parmesan was the best my wife had tasted in years.
The ravioli was good and the sauce was great.
We highly recommend Trombino's.
