Purple Palm at the Colony Palms Hotel
Made a reservation for 6 a month in advance and they DO NOT TAKE OPEN TABLE RESERVATIONS Y'ALL! As soon as I said HELLO I made a reservation with Open- the gal cut me off and said they only take Yelp reservations. RUDE. This already put a bad taste in my mouth.
I would think this place is better for brunch. Like another review said, there were ALSO three Bach parties going on. No thanks.
They said they no longer take open table reservations. Never received a notification of the change but still received the open table reminders. Luckily we only had to wait 15 minutes for a table but it was not special for our guest of honor.
THREE bridal or bachelorette parties going on!!! Tables of drunk women really put a damper on our experience. Maybe straying away on weekends is the solution as it’s just out of control !
This restaurant was the only place in Palm Springs that offered great service and had decent food. The waiter went above and beyond to take care of a group of 6 women. The atmosphere was fun because they played music but it wasn't too loud. So it was perfect for chatting within the group.
The hosts were unnecessarily rude and we found a hair in our food. When we called to make the reservation the call was abruptly ended without any of our questions answered. We ultimately canceled our order and left.
Excellent way to end an evening after a great day during the Palm Springs Short Film Festival.
We love Trio. The food and service is always top notch. Summer (manager on duty) did the right thing when we ordered something they were out of. We specifically went to Trio for Wine Wednesday and they did not have the only sparkling wine option chilled. Summer sent us 2 glasses (on the house) of another sparkling wine until the one for Wine Wednesday was chilled. Great job!
Always solid choices and service at Trio. Good bar menu too.

Very disappointed that our coupon was not honored. Manager decided alcohol wasnt covered by coupon. There were several exclusions on the coupon. Alcohol was not listed.

We celebrated Fathers Day for we are two Dad's, with are youngest daughter, her significant other and youngest son. Are two oldest, son and daughter out of town call/face time during meal which made the day even more special.
I highly recommend for any event or just a Date day-night out
For the simple pleasures in life mean the most when with the ones you love

I tried the Chicken Parmesan sandwich that came with French Fries. Unfortunately, the sandwich was mediocre. Something in the breading tasted off - not sure if it was the cooking oil it was fried in? There was also no enough marinara sauce on the sandwich.
My husband has the Cobb Salad and said it was okay; while my mom had the Curry Chicken Salad, which was also okay.
Overall, it was an okay lunch experience. We have eaten here in the past and will come again to see if today was an off-day for food.
Trio was great. Disappointed in Open Table - received note saying I would not get points for this dine - why not?
Good service and reasonable prices for the environment.
Food was generally good. Steak was served cold! Not good! Servers didn't see interested in correcting the problem!
Restaurant Week - vale was excellent. Only disappointment was when the waitress uncharged to replace vegetables for the creamed spinach and did not mention it when asked if could substitute.
Slow service and an aloof waiter really put a damper on our special occasion. We travel from Alabama a few times a year to Palm Springs.
The table behind us asked about specials. The waiter pointed to the special on the menu and as he turned away, said, “the rest is really self-explanatory”. I was floored and disappointed this visit.
Great service! Very attentive and friendly wait staff. Seared ahi was one of the best I've had. Everything is fresh and presented well. Good size portions and very reasonably priced. Can get very busy, so dine early if you want a quieter environment.
When we visited it was Restaurant Week so it was very busy. In spite of that the food was great, the staff very attentive and concerned with my wife's allergies and we were not rushed at all. Great experience and restaurant

This was during restaurant week and the menu was strictly prefixed. No complaints, everyone at our table enjoyed every bite.
We enjoyed good service, good food with a decent menu. The restaurant was very loud. We felt it was maybe because the building was older and the acoustics probably were poor.
Visiting from out of town found this little gem on Open Table. The owner was so kind and welcoming. The aroma of garlic welcomes you as you walk inside. Food was fresh and delicious. They made a perfect dirty martini. Excellent wine selection. Everybody enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent. Very accommodating with excellent recommendations. Will definitely go back on my next visit to Cathedral City.
Restaurant Week was a huge value
Trio is always fun to go to. Their menu items are creative and tasty and you get your money's worth. There is always a vibrant atmosphere. It is rather noisy.

We have been to Trio many times, but, unfortunately, this time wasn't the best experience. We chose their restaurant week menu, and the food was very good. The service this time was disappointing. Our waiter spent much time sitting and talking with another customer. Water glasses were never refilled. They did not bring bread, although everyone else around us did receive bread. The time between the appetizers and entrees was excessive.
As always, the food was very good but I was disappointed in the service we received at lunch. This has never happened before in all my trips to Trio. A bit disconcerting. I'm hoping this was just a fluke.
Jason, our server, was really a pleasure and very attentive. Such a nice guy!!!
After reading another review about the noise volume inside, we chose to dine outside. I don't know if that's why we seemed to be forgotten about or not. We received our first and second courses fairly promptly, but finally got up and found the manager to close our tab after waiting 20 to 30 minutes for dessert. Of course it was coming out as we were paying our bill, but wasn't even what we ordered. I don't think it should take that long to dish out sorbet and bread pudding. The manager made it right, which is why I am not giving a lower rating. The ocean trout was delicious. The pork chop was way overcooked. I almost had to stand up to get enough leverage to cut it. We had heard good things about this restaurant, so obviously were disappointed.
Went there for restaurant week for dinner. Food was good not great... the beet salad had three tiny beets and the pork chop was overcooked....trout was perfectly done... good desserts worth the $29 per person
We had a lovely time here to Palm Springs restaurant week. The food was delicious. The service attentive The ambience more casual Than expected but in Palm Springs wearing shorts and baseball hats during dinner is fine anywhere. Gotta love it as it does no good to hate it. Ha. Favorites was the bacon wrapped dates and bone in ribeye which was cooked to MedRare PERFECTION. Highly recommend a visit here.

It was 10pm. Our reservation was at 9:30. When I asked when we would be seated, the hostess rudely asked, "do you see any open tables?"
Brought us food that was undercooked or burned.
Brought us dessert that was melted.
Asked for change. They didn't have it.
Food and service were very good, with the exception of the hostess staff. I made the reservation on Open Table at 9:30AM the day of dining. I called at 12:03PM and left a detailed message requesting an increase in my party from 4 to 6 persons. I asked them to call me if there was a problem with this and heard nothing back. Upon arrival, the hostess said rudely that she had not gotten any message and the increased party could not be accommodated. Therefore, 2 of my friends ended up dining at the bar. Very disappointing.
Great value with the Restuant Week price fixe option. The inside seating was very loud. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful evening.
