The menu was quite varied with something for everyones taste. We started with the brussel sprouts appetizer and it surpassed any other I've ever tasted. The lobster raviolis were delicious and the plate was huge. Everyone at the table had a different dish and all raved about the. The trout pairing with tomato ice cream sounded very strange to everyone but my grandson said that it worked very well. I'll definitely be back.
Absolutely loved the hostess. I don't remember her name but she's from Iraq and her energy really made me happy.
Delicious, innovative cuisine with local seasonal ingredients, served professionally. Much more than just a “hotel restaurant.” Love this place!
There was plenty of food, and the service was great. However, when your appetizer (Brussel sprouts) is the most flavorful thing you eat, something should change. The good was not anything better than what I myself could do. We had the meatloaf and the short ribs.
Halibut was dry and fishy. It must have been old. Everything else was tasty but overpriced.
Nice atmosphere with friendly service. Disappointing food, especially for the price. Not a lot of healthy choices.
Great food, killer local wines! Perfect location right downtown in Boise.
Very good overall experience primarily related to the service but the food was good too, though not amazing . The ambience is lacking hugely though and thus the 4 stars rather than 5. Overall we had a great time but if you want ambience look elsewhere.
David, our server went above and beyond. The Les Bois drink was a little sweet but good. Clam chowder above par and the black cake like truffle dessert is killer! Again great service can make a good dinner better!
Our server Mallory was great. Food was amazing. Will definitely be back.
Our waiter, Lauren, was outstanding! The food was just a little disappointing. My short rib was very fatty and my friend had the fish and chips. She said it was good, but the breading was too much. Some pieces had breading, but no fish. The rhubarb cobbler was great! We didn’t want to complain because our waiter was so nice.
We had an amazing dinner here and service was great as well. Highly recommend it to anyone.
Our server, who was very new to the Boise area, was very exceptional. His drink and food recommendations were great. He was just the right amount of everything, and not too much of anything. It was our first time in since Trillium opened and the menu has so many great items, looking forward to our return!!
The good - meat dishes were great (chicken and filet), cooked as requested, filet cut was a great cut. Desert was also well done and the wine and spirits selection was solid. The sides had their issues. Portabello mushrooms were burned and so were the 'frites" that came as a side with the filet. The caesar salad dressing was heavy on the mayonnaise flavor. The beer selection is not adequate.
I was very happy to get the private dining room. It was perfect in that it made my client feel special. The jalapeño bacon appetizer was great. The short ribs were okay but not as tender as I would have liked. The trout was way too salty but our waitress was totally on point so I have somewhat mixed feelings about Trillium. Maybe it was just an off night.
I was a little skeptical but the food was great!
Convenient location, great service, seated quickly even with no reservation.
Disappointing. Service was almost nonexistent. Food was OK- varied by dish. Hors d'oeuvres were great. Main dish was mediocre. Service took took long. Do not bother.
Restaurant was not super busy on this early Sunday evening. Atmosphere was nice, had a lovely Manhattan and our food was delicious. Their crispy brussel sprouts were the best preparation I have ever tasted and would come back just for those!
Good service, a little too present... he needed a few more tables. We were the at 8 on a Friday night and maybe only 3 other tables. I think the ambiance would have gotten a 5+ star rating if only it wasn’t so bright 🌟
We were planning nice dinner prior to event and this was an excellent fate. Mallory was very courteous of our space as a waitress and made very smart food recommendations. We had a wonderful meal and evening. Easily plan on a return visit. The Brussels sprouts for appetizer is wonderful. The bison meatloaf was well enjoyed, but clearly easy to share per large portions.
Very good selection everyone was happy with their food and the service was excellent. The dining room was mostly empty so not a lot of ambience.
Excellent! I wasn't expecting to be wowed but i was! I like the remodel very much! I have hearing issues in restaurants but the surfaces are warm here, and the ceiling space wasn't overly cavernous. The service was excellent! Friendly but not overly present. The food was delish, as were the cocktails! We'll be back!
First time dining at Trillium and it did not disappoint. Let’s start with the service, our server Mallory exceeded our expectations. She was very attentive and made sure we were happy. Food presentation - just beautiful! Food taste - delicious. We are will definitely be returning many more times.
Had a very nice dinner...filet was cooked perfectly, wine was good service was very good. I would recommend it highly.
Steak was the worst cut of meat, tough and chewy. Could barely cut it with a steak knife. Not worth what we spent.
A great meal for a great night! Free valet, great food, cocktails and atmosphere. The steelhead trout was my favorite meal so far in Boise. Wife had the Filet and it was also very good. A little pricey, but quality matched the price. We'll be back!
Four different entree’s in our group and all were delicious and served with the perfect accompaniment. Extremely generous portions so we all took food home!
The recent remodel gives the restaurant a ‘bistro’ feel with white tile and open kitchen.
Josh is an excellent waiter.
Perfect service ! Loved our waiter Lauren. Food was sooo good ! Steak was up there with the best in the valley, so tender and cooked perfectly! And presentation of food was beautiful! Loved the locally sourced aspect as well
Great will go back
Four of us went for dinner and we had a number of issues. First of all, our Server was wonderful...attentive and funny...he even turned the lights down so we did not think we were in a bus station...and we were the only people in the restaurant.
But the food...where to begin...the Halibut was so over cooked as to be inedible. All of the other sides...slaw (bland), popover (dry).
Considering the hype, it was very disappointing. Boise has so few restaurants that push the envelope...hopefully, over time, they can improve things.
Wonderful ambiance for our anniversary dinner. Service was amazing and made our evening very special. Fabulous filet mignon, Halibut was pretty dry. Dessert (fresh cobbler) was given to us for our anniversary and was phenomenal!!!!
Heavy on the salt and spices on all the food. Got my order wrong even after double checking it. It took quite a long time to get the food out and then even longer for the re cook on my meal. Poor first time experience.
The restaurant was very nice, the waiter was fun, the food was excellent. The only complaint I have was it was my husband's birthday and I let them know that when I made the reservations but they forgot to give him his free desert.
Great food and great service. Good drinks and a nice atmosphere.
Used my account team as my guinea pigs for my first visit to Trillium. The staff rolled out the red carpet and we were treated very graciously. The food was creative and delicious and the private dining area is an excellent spot for a working dinner. Great experience; I'll for sure be back!
We came to this restaurant for my mom’s birthday. Our service was terrible in the beginning, our food was wrong. Our original server was slow to bring drinks and never asked if we wanted any more. If it wasn’t for Lauren, the server who tried to pick up all the pieces, I would never go back. Lauren was amazing, he tried to make everything right. This restaurant has a long ways to go before I would say it would be a five star.
Always great and gracious service. The attention to detail and ingredients coupled with the execution of every dish, is at the highest level. And, the wine list is getting to the point of being nearly on par with The Refectory.
TIME BETWEEN ORDERING AND RECEIVING OUR ORDER WAS WAY TOO LONG !
MOST FOOD WAS SADLY OVER-COOKED AND DRY.
WE DID ENJOY BEING IN THE PRIVATE ROOM FOR 6, AND OUR SERVER WAS
REALLY CUTE AND EFFICIENT...
WE WERE DISAPPOINTED AS HAD ALWAYS LOVED EMELIOS SO MUCH !
Food was incredible! And great service as well. Highly recommend!
