Would recommend. Brunch was tasty and the bottomless mimosas were indeed bottomless.
Went for an intimate birthday dinner and it was phenomenal. The 18 piece Oyster platter with a sample of all their varieties was awesome. The Strip steak was perfectly cooked. Service on point. Will absolutely go again next trip to town.
I typically avoid hotel restaurants, but I would come back here in a heartbeat. The food was delicious. The servers were great and very helpful with answering questions and giving suggestions. The specials were interesting (and delicious). I'm planning to bring my husband here for some oysters during our next trip to NOLA.
Tried the chargrilled oysters. The flavor was good but not as grilled as I like and as most places cook them. Drinks was good, also the crab cakes and bread pudding.
Our server, Derek, was great! Conversational and knowledgeable about the menu! All of the servers were very attentive, and the food was brought out quickly and delicious!
Try the CBD salad with fried shrimp and oysters. Literally one of the best things I've ever eaten.
Trenasse is an excellent restaurant! We had charbroiled oysters, shrimp and crab oysters, oyster rockefeller, blue crab benedicts and it was all terrific! Bottomless mimosas on Sunday!
First level of the Intercontinental hotel. Great food, honestly. Started with their fried Brie burger—juicy and flavorful—and tastier when the Brie is drizzled on the burger. Moved to the green goddess wedge—a fun history to research. Eagerly awaited the crawfish etouffee which was so delicious alongside the cheesy grits. Sweetened the meal with their lemon crack cake, and washed the dinner down with a stiff sazerac.
Always a treat to find such a restaurant when visiting New Orleans.
Great food and very attentive waiter!
Overall very good. The daily special salad was fantastic with a variety of flavors and textures and beautiful presentation. The crab bisque was delicious. The only issue was that the rabbit was slightly overcooked. Looking forward to dining here again.
Food was very good to excellent overall. The service was very slow and spotty, but I believe it was not the fault of our waiter, who simply seemed overworked. I would fault the manager for perhaps not having enough staff on hand - and understand that things are crazy during COVID-19. We asked to sit outside and were accommodated with two propane heaters, which was great, as it was a very cold night. But, even minor things like getting silverware and the wine we ordered took far too long, with the overall dinner taking 3 1/2 hours instead of probably 2 due to the slow service... Would go back again, perhaps after COVID-19.
Great happy hour value for oysters and drinks. Haven't tried full menu.
The night was amazing! The staff was very kind and I will definitely recommend them when asked of restaurants to visit in New Orleans!
Decided to have a solo Christmas and try the Christmas brunch. It was sooo good. Wait staff was friendly and professional as well.
Great service and food was perfect
Waitress was very good and attentive. Food great as always.
Food was amazing. I will definitely be back.
Bryan M was a wonderful server! The food was amazing and the ambience was relaxing
Our server Derrick C. Was the best! Very attentive & knowledgable! Oysters were superb. We're local & will be back again.
First, it’s refreshing that they were open.
The entire staff was welcoming, efficient and friendly.
The ambiance is fresh, clean and new but it is not “warm” or particularly welcoming for my taste.
My wide was disappointed that there were no Christmas decorations.
The French fries and debris appetizer was tasty, generous and unique. The bbq shrimp appetizer was very tasty and generous. I’d get both again.
The gumbo was good but not extraordinary.
There are many ways to eat oysters here. My wife had oysters with some kind of toasted cheese which were very good.
I had the red fish meunière with fries and string beans.
The fish was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The string beans were the best I’ve ever had.
Each time we have eaten out recently it has left mixed emotions.
We are glad to see a place open but sad to see the obvious struggles that everyone is going through.
Service was amazing! You don't feel rushed, we took our time and they even let us watch the football game even after they've cleared our table and never let out mimosa glasses go empty. Love the atmosphere and love the people even more, not to mention the food is to die for!
Great experience! One of my favorite brunch spots. The grits are the best I have ever had.
Service is great food is always very good
It’s great to see you guys are back open. Everything was prefect. Thanks
We absolutely love trenasse!!! The staff are always so friendly and the food is delicious as well. We can’t wait to come back!
My husband and I travel to New Orleans frequently. Tried Trenasse for the first time over Thanksgiving. Loved the fowl gumbo and the oyster platter was a real treat. Regret that our reservation was made for the night of Thanksgiving as we did not save room to sample more from the menu. Recommended to a friend of ours who was also visiting NOLA. Their text from the restaurant after dinner read "Absolutely a great call!!"
Will definatly dine at Trenasse again on future trips.
The problem was not the restaurant. The problem was that they have not re-opened since COVID but somehow Open Table let us make a reservation. So 6 people showed up for dinner at 7PM on Saturday night at a restaurant that has not been open for 8 months. We ended up scrambling and finding a place that could accommodate us, but was not a good start to our evening.
The food was outstanding. We went during their 75cent oyster happy hour, which happens daily from 3-6pm. We got 18oysters and the seafood gumbo. Problem was the service. The place was DEAD and it took a long time for the server to acknowledge us and bring us a menu. By the time we got our food, we still didn't have drinks. By the time we FINISHED our food, we still didn't have drinks. We were also never brought water or anything so we completely finished our food without anything to sip on. I had to alert a manager since we noticed the bartender standing there doing nothing so we assumed our drinks were made long before, and we were correct. Our drinks had certainly been sitting there. The drinks were delicious and thankfully the manager did remove them from the tab, and brought us some complementary Oysters Rockafeller, which was nice but nothing spectacular.
Food and service provided by Ryan was awesome!
Restaurant is very nice inside and serves wonderful food. One issue we had was that the main course was served soon after we received our appetizers. That dish was brought by someone other than the waiter and the latter actually apologized for this. The main course should have been held back and kept warm for at least 15 minutes.
I went to Trenasse with 2 friends on our girls trip. We all enjoyed our food and we had a little bit of everything from salad to seafood to steaks! The server was great and got us happy hour wine specials since arrived right at 6 when happy hour ended. I would definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful dinig experience at Trenasse! We were lucky to be sat in a private room off the dinig room so we had a low noise level (the restaurant was busy and energetic). Our servers were friendly and fun and the food was delicious! We will absolutely be dining there again in the near future!
Celebrated my birthday with my husband, and Aika was our server for the night! The food was absolutely amazing. We shared the short ribs and Stinky's Stew, and we loved every bite! We would highly recommend this restaurant for great food and Trent ambience!
The food is always great, but the last two times, the service is EXTREMELY slow. There is a particular server there that was very rude when we visited last month. I will only recommend if the person has 2 hours to spend at lunch.
Outstanding experience. Food was great and service was fantastic.
Our server was excellent and was helpful in our dinner selections. I had the Taste of Trenasse which was a delicious sampling of its three popular dishes.
We had a party of 13 for a surprise birthday brunch. Our server handled us well and took great care. She was attentive, good on timing, refills etc., and very accommodating. The food was excellent. Had a terrific time. Highly recommend.
Excellent fish of the day. Kids menu appreciated.
Enjoyed the food! Came during happy hour and enjoyed the fresh oysters and the quality of the food and size of the oysters were amazing!
Tasty. Great bisque. We've been several times and will go again the next time we visit the area
