Loved this place. The quality of the fish was spectacular.
The boudin balls were great, the Gumbo was very good, and the cauliflower steak was novel.
I highly recommend this place. I will go back.
Our waitress was really wonderful despite being super busy. Food was phenomenal
The food was excellent and the service was unbelievable. We had a slight problem and the waiter and manager took care of it with the upmost respect and precision. We will be dining there again. Try the Stinky's Stew! It is delicious!
The food was awesome and the service outstanding. We will definitely come back for brunch.
This was a Valentines dinner reservation. I stopped by the place a few days before asked about a special menu and was told there would be just the regular menu. However there was a very nice special menu with a lot of food and reasonably priced. Unfortunately we had a hearty lunch earlier in day.
I don’t know why these places stress out for holidays, but I received two messages on my mobile requesting a reconfirmation, even though I confirmed with
Open table. Who wants stop vacation fun to call some place that’s emoting over an Open Table Reservation. I think one confirmation is enough when I am on vacation. Regardless, we were seated at the backside, possibly an overflow area, where the rest of diners couldn’t be seen. Perhaps this was a special treat for love birds to have some privacy, but I suspect it was a reprimand for not calling directly to the restaurant. It seemed that those also seated there also were either walk ins or hotel guests. We could have had a high time together at the back of the kitchen. I prefer at a a happening place to be seated with happening guests and take in the ambiance of a new city. Next time I am in New Orleans, I will remember my perceived slight and go someplace that treats most guests equally.
Great meal, and great vslue
We had a wonderful meal. The waitress was absolutely top notch. She was helpful, timely in every way and went beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible.
Steak was overseasosned, but cooked well. Potatoes were under seasoned and chewy. Loved the service, but was a bit disappointed in the food. Husband had a whole fish of the day and enjoyed.
Food was average at best. Incredibly overpriced. Service was excellent
Amateurish service. The gluten free salad came out with deep fried toppings. The entrees came out while we were still eating salads. This is a hotel restaurant masquerading as something nicer.
Food was very good Well priced and service prompt. Noisy inside but also festive
Excelent, we hope come back soon, the best of all new Orleans restaurants during out tríp.
This was my third or fourth time eating here. I felt as if the service had depreciated a bit. And the food was not exactly hot. The band was loud and just OK... not sure I will go back
We chose this restaurant due to the proximity of our hotel. You never know what to expect but we were super happy with our experience. Our waiter was wonderful and the food was great. Would recommend to anyone.
This is not an old school NOLA restaurant, which is what we enjoyed more during our stay here. This restaurant is in a hotel and is more upscale and modern. That said, it is a wonderful restaurant - the food, atmosphere, and service were all impeccable. The seafood (stinky's stew and redfish mueniere) was amazing. The redfish is the best fish dish I have ever had in a restaurant and the stew was full of seafood and very flavorful. The gumbo was really well seasoned and desserts were wonderful too. While visiting NOLA, we preferred the look of the old buildings and architecture - we liked the charm and feel of those restaurants more but Trenasse was superb for a seafood experience.
Didn’t ask for it, but got put in a small private room. Was perfect!
the service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. They should offer more lunch offers at better prices
Great food for what they had. We’re out of several dishes and whoskey
Good for a hotel bar and restaurant
I had high hopes, as reviews were good. Food was above average, nothing amazing. Service was about the same. Not a bad experience or food, just not 5-star.
Great food and great service. Will definitely go back.
I usually don’t dine in hotel restaurants but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. We had the bbq shrimp appetizer plate (soooo good), braised short ribs, and eoutufee pie. All of it was delicious. The place was lively with amazing wait staff to go along with it. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
WOW. Honestly, I did not expect everything to be so good! We are from Louisiana so it’s hard to expect Cajun food to be as good as we expect. But we were floored with everything. Service, drinks, food, and to top it off, there was a Mardi Gras ball happening close by. So we got the entire New Orleans ambiance. Loved this place!
We were too early for dinner so we decided to go ahead and have happy hour. It turned out great. The food and drinks were good and not too pricey. Our server was great and there was very a very good atmosphere in the main dining room.
The food and service were very good. The only hiccup was that the entrees came out too soon.
Wonderful service, the crawdads potpie was perfect. A warm flaky that blended well with the sweetness of the crawdads. The duck and andoille gumbo was to die for, could have used more gumbo and less rice. One of the few restaraunts in NOLA I would.go back to.
Trenasse staff was great, thanks for the service
Food was great. Service not so much. I think it was just our waiter. I observed other waiters being attentive to their tables. Other waiters even came around to clear our plates since our waiter was no where to be found. Or waiter never offered if we'd like another drink or refilled our waters. I loved the raw oysters so decided to order some more. After about 25 minutes I inquired about them. Waiter claimed they were still working on them I think he was lying and forgot to place the order. So I cancelled them and asked for the bill even though we were planning on ordering dessert. Overall lovely hostess, great tasting food, and delightful restaurant. The service just sucked unfortunately.
Lovely food an lovely service that we thoroughly enjoyed!
Sunday Brunch was recommended by a friend. I thought it was a buffet but that was not the case. There was supposed to be live music which was on their website and there was not. Grits were awesome but STAY AWAY FROM BACON. Peppered more than anything I have ever had and was inedible. Yuk
Wonderful food. Amazing server. Our date night was perfect. Escargot was mind blowing. Highly recommend!
Fabulous meal! Bryan was great! Geaux LSU!
Very nice restaurant especially for being connected to a hotel! Ambiance was very nice. Menu was great. The food was very delicious and the service was awesome! What more could you ask for?!
Lamb chops over the white beans were wonderful. Fowl gumbo fantastic as usual. We got there a little early and was able to take advantage of the $5 happy hour menu for our first round of drinks. Great experience.
The food was very bland and had no flavor, it took forever to get our food, food was very overpriced for what we got. The only food that was good was the oysters.
Our waiter, Brian was awesome - fun and engaging. We are here on New Year’s Eve and they were out of several dishes and desserts.
We had the rudest server ever. From the moment that we sat down to the second that we left we had an awful time. We couldn’t wait to get out of this restaurant fast enough. We were extremely disappointed with the service. This is the only unfriendly place that we encountered during our visit to New Orleans. Very unfortunate since this restaurant was conveniently located at the hotel where we were staying at.
We chose this restaurant because it was available at the time we wanted, but we were so happy that we did. The food was delicious!! One of us got the whole fried fish. It came out sitting upright on the plate. Such great presentation and flavor. The salad portions were very generous as well. Overall, would recommend and return.
We were a bit disappointed to see Trenasse was located in a hotel— often a harbinger of mediocre food. We were pleasantly surprised. He had a cup of the crab bisque (generous portions) and the rabbit and shrimp fricassé, which he pronounced tasty. I had the lamb chops— be still my heart! While the chops were a teeny bit overcooked (and not seared properly— gray meat with a slightly pink center) they were still very good, and the accompanying “cassoulet beans” and the tomato mint jam were delightful. Only complaint is that bar service was very slow.
