    Last minute dinner res coming from the airport, and was looking for good authentic Italian for our Sunday dinner after a long flight. Pasta was good, cooked al dente and the fresh tomato sauce was tasty although a little on the sweeter side from what I usually make. Chicken (Nonno Pasquale Pollo) was very tasty, lots of fresh mushrooms, Gorgonzola sauce was rich, but not overpowering. The server gladly swapped out the potatoes for fresh asparagus which were delicious and worked well with the chicken. Bread service was a little lacking and Olive oil for dipping was decent but didn’t have that pop that some of the true imported Italian olive oils have.

    Booked this reservation off open table’s recommendations for Father’s Day.They had Father’s Day PORTERHOUSE steak special for $75. I iknew it would feed both of us so I thought that’s a pretty good deal. The  Caesar salad, porterhouse steak and vegetables were exceptional. The steak was a real treat. The risotto was undercooked and a bit starchy so I sent it back and I got us a new order that was delicious.  We had tiramisu for dessert and it was wonderful. The service was OK. Our server was very nice. We had to ask for other people to get things for us, which is never fun.  There were a lot of big family tables so I think it was just hectic. I asked for a specific table and they must not have received it as they were taking us to the back room and I asked for a table by the window. They did seat us by the window after I asked about it. You could tell it was a long established family owned restaurant with friendly people and many tables knew each other. It was nice. I think the place could use some updating and they kept mentioning a new menu was coming out.

    The food was delicious but our server kept making mistakes. I asked for my fish to be served with no risotto and extra veggies. It came with risotto and one veggie side. She gave us the wrong bill not once but twice! She dinged my debit card for the wrong amount and had someone come to the table and explain to me that it would take days to get reimbursed for this mistake. They couldn't simply charge me the difference from the amount they already put on my card? My husband had the Porterhouse special being offered for Father's Day and our server didn't even ask how he wanted it prepared. Luckily, the chef nailed it anyhow and my husband was happy. I know it's hard to be new at waitressing - especially on a busy day like Father's Day - but our server made so many mistakes it was almost comical. We still tipped well, but with some misgivings. I hope this doesn't happen again at Trattoria Pasquale's. We've had such lovely times there otherwise.

    Food was excellent as always, however, they have made major changes to the wine list, very few low-mid $ range, plenty of over $100 bottle options. We normally could always find a good mid-level bottle of wine for $50-$60 but no more unfortunately. That was disappointing.

    The service was excellent and we met the owner/head chef to learn more about his heritage and the inspiration for the food he creates. Top notch Italian food in Tampa.

    We enjoyed the muscles & had the penne bolognese on the side. WAAAY too much sauce but hearty & enuf for 2 of us. Enjoyed Luigi visit. We’ll be back soon
