This was a very disappointing dining experience. View was nothing special, food was very overpriced. Service was quite slow and then a photographer wanting to take photos and sell them to us. Just pick another dining option if you can. There are much better options in the area.
Always the first place we dine when we arrive in Waikiki. This time, we had a warm greeting from a smiling Lorraine, who showed us to our table and was so gracious and sweet.
We were served by Chris H. My wife had the pear salad, and the sizzling steak on a Rock; while I had the Beet, Avocado & Goat Cheese Salad, and tried the Pan-Seared Ahi(instead of my usual Ginger Pesto-Crusted Monchong).
It was great to see old friends on the staff-feels like home.
It was a very nice restaurant, I loved the photographer and that he captured our experience. However there was a young child near that kept screaming, throwing the candles from their table which landed near us. Aside from that the overall experience was wonderful.
The filet mignon was amazing and perfectly cooked. The appetizers were great and reasonably priced.
Darren was an awesome server.
You pay for the view, which is lovely. The food is mediocre and the portions are small and wayyyy overpriced. The service isn't great either.
Excellent quality food with great service. An interesting view outside but it was so cold inside don’t forget to take a jumper.
Service & food were awesome! The view was amazing! I wish I could give them a 5 star review but the noise level was beyond loud. And there weren’t any rowdy tables to blame for this. It was the acoustics of the room. I would definitely return here for the food & the view but I would love to see them do something to improve the noise. Maybe if they install some noise dampening panels on the ceiling, this would help. 🤷♀️
Service was amazing! Dessert was best part of meal!!!
Great service, outstanding food. Very pleased with overall dinner experience. View is breathtaking, recommendation to arrive half an hour prior to sunset. You will not be disappointed.
Fantastic restaurant for any occasion. Every seat is amazing views due to slow revolving. Cioppino best I have ever had! Their signature gummy bear martini was incredible.
Beautiful experience- great place to see Waikiki at sunset and at night.
The restaurant was beautiful and so was the view. The staff was very welcoming and professional and I was surprised and how quickly they serviced us and brought our entrees. Needless to say the food was delicious. I felt like I was in heaven!
Good Wes good and good value, wish they would serve bread like they did for years it was always great especially with their mango butter
The food was great, the service was top notch. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it all was. We had a very nice evening.
It was my birthday but there was no birthday celebration dessert. The only acknowledgment I received was from a greeter downstairs. When I booked the reservation I did mark special occasion Birthday. Very disappointed!
Excellent meal , awesome creme brûlée’s, waitress was friendly , great service , view was nice , Last time I was here was 30 years ago , great food and service then , I will be back but it will be on my next visit and it won’t be 30 years . 😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The food was amazing. Definitely worth the prices. The view was also very impressive. The restaurant does rotate very slowly. However, if you don’t pay attention then it moves kinda fast.
The reason for the low rating is because of our server Jamie. Honestly, she didn’t really check on us. We were a party of 4. 2 of us were without beverages for the entire time waiting for our food to come out. She didn’t check on us after we received our food and the other 2 of the party also ran out of drinks. We had to stop her in order to get more drinks. And even then it took a while before we got the beverages.
Jamie seemed really nice, but after everything and after we paid. She stopped 2 of us because of the tip we left. And she asked if she had done anything to deserve the tip she got or if she had done anything wrong. She was told that everything was ok and before we could say anything else she scoffed and rolled her eyes and walked away. She was very unprofessional and rude.
We took my wife here for her birthday and it was amazing. Great service and food. We will go here again. Please read Open Table not Yelp reviews. Helpers are liars.
Super views. Great food. Dinner excellent, good variety Dessert was delicious.
Went for my daughters birthday. Our waiter was very nice but seemed much to busy to be bothered by us. The cioppino I ordered was mediocre and also cold. The food is over priced for the quality. They did bring a nice happy birthday plate with the dessert we ordered with a lit candle but again our waiter could not be bothered to even crack a smile. The views are great!
Beautiful, revolving restaurant with a view of the City. Outstanding service and special attention for one of us with allergies. Food was tasty.
Food, service, and ambiance great. Thanks Tahitah & Ferrell. Polo and ginger monchong were fantastic.
We had a great meal and fun experience.
Watching the revolving views of Waikiki while dining on incredible food makes this an amazing experience! A must-see for those on vacation!
I was celebrating my husband and My anniversary. First off, our waitress did a good job, very friendly and made sure to congratulate us on our anniversary. There was just a few things that were disturbing which is why I rated the way I did. It took 25 mins to receive our Caesar salad and French onion soup we ordered (which I thought was long).
Instead of ordering a main entree I ordered the calamari as my main course, as we had a heavy lunch and I wanted something not as large for my main course. This was VERY disappointing, the calamari came out and it was luke-warm at best, and very very chewy. Which made me believe the calamari is pre-made and sitting in a warming tray until ordered, or my order was sitting in the back way too long before coming out. I notified our waitress and she apologized and put in a fresh order immediately. When the second calamari came out, it was hot, but confirmed my thought that the calamari isn’t freshly tossed in batter or crumbs before being put in the deep fryer. It tasted as if the calamari is already breaded/frozen in a bag. In this day and age and all of the amazing food that is now being prepared, this should not be happening - frozen prebreaded calamari!
Owning a travel agency we send a lot of customers to HAWAII, after our experience and the cost for the value, we will not be able to recommend this restaurant. Which is sad to say considering the view.
Very nice. The food was very high quality. Only thing is bathrooms are two stories down.
Outstanding views from the top of waikiki. And offers tasty food as well as kind service.
Strongly recommend to visit!
We completely enjoyed our evening at Top of Waikiki. After making reservations we received a phone call to find a little about our group of six. We so appreciated that the restaurant wanted to know if we’d have children in our group. We had our two grandchildren and our server Joe was right on everything! He made sure the children were happy, made excellent wine recommendations, and was friendly and charming too. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Can’t say enough about the comfort of the seating or the view either! So...loved it!
It was our first time here. Everything went great! From arrival to departure. Food was perfect and exceptional service!! By far our favorite place to date!!!
I've already recommended this to family and friends who are planning on going to Waikiki in the near future. The food was amazing and our waitress (Emily) was the best and always checked up on us to make sure we were satisfied. I will most definitely be coming back again on our next trip. Keep up the good work!
Went there for anniversary dinner. Service is impeccable and food is incredible. Had the diver scallops that were the cleanest I have ever had. The Short ribs are to die for. Wife had beet salad that was amazing. Definitely recommend. Desert was a frozen mousse of mango and pineapple, so good. Also had a very decent espresso.
Went here for a nice dinner for our honeymoon and were not disappointed. Food and service were both excellent and got a great view of the Waikiki sunset
Food and service fantastic, not cheap but special
Amazing food and experience! Thank You!
Amazing. Must go
Wonderful dish and service
We arrived on time with reservations. We were greeted at the front desk with “ your reservations are for 5:45 and you need to be done by 7:30”. So Rude! It could be said more tactfully.
The server was rushed , shouting over the noise, and we did NOT feel relaxed dining here.
The $61 lobster has a $10 service fee for removing the meat from the shell. We are okay with that. But, the presentation was odd: the tail meat was stuffed into the shell’s head. So when you slide the tail from the head, it has green brains (?) on the meat. I have seen the lobster tail meat presented nicely on top of the lobster tail shell in other restaurants.
We left immediately after the entrees and left after paying. The saving grace is the roof top views of Honolulu and Waikiki.
Waiters were very attentive, service was excellent and the food was delicious!
