Vacationing in Hawaii - definitely recommend this place!
We were there for early dinner and were able to enjoy the daylight view and the sunset view, truly incredible sunset view. Service and food was excellent will visit again for sure.
Not a good value. Disappointing steak, mediocre service, overpriced. The ambiance is great, but not worth the price.
Good great...but, tiny drinks!!! They should be ashamed.
Our food came out too early before the salad and they were pushy that we take the food or cancel the salad. Really? We accepted the main meal and they delivered the salad later. The salad by the way was great!! There was a bone in the duck pizza that I stuck in the roof of my mouth John the manager said he would comp a desert. Which did not happen.
Excellent food with a great view!
Terrible bar service. Sat for an hour and a half to kick off the night and waited for 40 minutes to never be able to order a drink and salad.
Staff very professional our server I believe was Kacey. She was very outgoing and knowledgeable. Our food was outstanding and we were very full and satisfied. Views were amazing and we were sat just at the right time when the sun was setting.
Five stars as usual....Everything was perfect, from the cocktail to the dessert. Service was friendly, welcoming and attentive.
We stopped in last minute for dinner and drinks after work. Started with the gummy bear martinis (yummy!) He had the short ribs and I had the cioppino. Both were excellent choices along with the crab cakes appetizer first. Dessert was a scrumptious molten chocolate butter cake - I’m a chocoholic and this was everything I didn’t know I wanted. Our server was truly excellent as well. She was attentive and we never had to ask for anything - she was always there when we needed something. The revolving stopped for a bit and we were looking at a curtain and the walkway into the restaurant for a half hour. But I later found out someone in a wheelchair had to go to the bathroom and so they needed a ramp that required the restaurant to stop revolving. Something to keep in mind if that happens while you’re there. Parking validation makes it free so that’s a definite plus in Waikiki!!!
Great location, manager accommodated one more person in our party at the last minute, thank you Tony.
However, for the price the food was not quality food. Service was a little bit slow and not adequately attentive For as high end a restaurant.
We have had excellent food there in the past, as locals, we have gone there six or seven times over the last three years, and not sure what’s happening in the kitchen it seems that the food quality has gone down hill.
We came here after our beach wedding as it was recommended to us by our wedding coordinator. I was very disappointed.
First off, the bathroom is located two floors down which means two escalator rides and for such a "fancy" place, you would assume they would have a restroom close by or at least on the same floor.
Secondly, the service was extremely slow and we waited over an hour for the waitress to even tell us that the food was being plated, and said that the reason was because we ordered our steak medium-well so it was going to take a while. We asked for our food to be boxed since my wife was not feeling well, and when we got to our hotel room to eat our steak, the steak was not even close to being a medium well, but instead more of a medium with some bloody parts to it. The lobster tail, crab legs, asparagus, carrots, corn chowder, and garlic potatoes were pretty good, but nothing special.
The manager did wave the corn chowder and pineapple juices we ordered to compensate for the wait time but I dont know if I would ever go back, nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone. I remained very polite and even still gave the waitress a 15% tip since money was not really the issue, nor was it the server's fault. We would have just appreciated a post wedding dinner which matched our beautiful beach front elopement wedding.
Food and staff/service were exceptional! Our waitress went above and beyond.
I was very disappointed on our dinner at Top of Waikiki. We got seated and ordered drinks and pupus around 6 pm. Sat with water on our table for 15 min wondering where our first order was. We asked a lady pouring water if she could double check on our order. She didn't check on it, we seen her walk past us several times with no update. We waited another 15 min and still no drinks or pupus. Then we ask for a manager and she comes and tells us that there were issues with the computer due to new program. She apologized and said they just put in our order. Now its been 45 min sitting at our table with just water. Our waitress didn't check on us the whole time. Then after we put in our order the manager comes back again and said that their blender is not working and if I would like to order another drink. Our first drinks were comped but it was quiet the disaster of a night. For our main meals I order the Braised short ribs and the sauce topping it tasted burnt. I think we got there at 6:00 pm and didn't leave till almost 9:00 pm.
I was not very impressed considering the location and prices.
Food was okay and nothing special. Steak we ordered was too firm and chewy, ahi was nothing special.
The revolving restaurant is a pleasant experience, but you are paying for the unique location and experience. The food is excellent quality and well prepared. The portions are very small, but more quality over quantity is a hallmark of upper end eateries. You are paying for the fancy top of Waikiki setting which is worth it from a tourist or very occasional local standpoint.
My wife’s birthday
Nice restaurant, food & service was great! Did not like Nearest bathroom is 2 escalators down
Beautiful views, great food, and superb atmosphere. The waiter was very professional in the performance of his duties.
My fiancé and I came in for an anniversary dinner. This was amazing. The restaurant revolves around 360 degrees and has amazing views of the mountains and the ocean! Come here for sunset! You won’t be disappointed! It’s a tad bit pricey but it’s worth the splurge!
Great steaks & tasty desserts.
We had tried several of the famous expensive steak restaurants in Waikiki but Top of Waikiki was far better than any them. And price was much more reasonable.
If you want to place to have a great steak in Waikiki this is the restaurant to go to.
The stakes are really juicy and tasty and they are big enough to fill you up.
Make sure to leave room for dessert because they have some great desserts there as well.
Very good food and an ever changing view to enjoy. Easy to make reservations and a variety of good seating. Somewhat pricey, but this is Waikiki...
I had the steak and it was divine!!!! Will definitely be coming back to splurge!!!!
Overall experience was great! Customer service and food was superb.
The food was quite good but unmemorable. What I do remember is being bothered by a crying baby. I don’t think young children should be permitted in this kind of upscale restaurant.
Food is amazing. Expensive, but it’s worth it.
Tried really hard to like this place since we heard some good things. The revolving nature gives a nice view of Waikiki. However, things started off poorly after waiting almost 2 hours for our food. Additionally, the food was hit or miss. Some incredibly sour (NY strip) or salty (appetizers and veggies), some delicious. Server was rather rude. Likely wouldn’t return or recommend to our friends.
We had a reservation but had to wait 20 minutes anyway. The 'wait place' is not so pleasant and rather cold, everyone there looks kind of annoyed :) The waitress we had was great, service in general is nice. The food was ok, but we expected much more. Ambiance is something special. Overall ok, but we wouldn't go again.
Had a tray of water and cocktails spilled on me at the bar while the hostess was transitioning us to our table. I received a sorry, but not much more. I politely reminded them that we expect our cocktails to be replaced at least. Table server was very nice to start. App was spectacular and so was my wife's salad. We didn't see our server or food after that for 45 minutes. Wife's fish was severely under cooked. No one around to speak to about it as the staff seemingly disappeared. At least the guy selling photos came by our table twice.
Great food. But needed better prices. Market price for Alaskan King Grab is over priced.
It must have been a busy night. Took a bit of a while before we ordered.
Our waiter was friendly and apologized for the wait.
He suggested a wine that went well with the steaks we ordered
We had an outstanding experience here and the staff went above and beyond! Thank you for making our dining experience so special!
Food was great, service was great
This was not one of this restaurants that depends on the view to be good. The food was outstanding and our waiter Chris was enthusiastic and had a great understanding of all food and drink items and was attentive to our needs. Everything was outstanding, including the view. Not a place to go if you are a miser when it comes to quality food expense.
Wonderful experience got the surf and turf
Service was great & food was good, albeit the value quotient may have been a bit imbalanced... but you’re paying also for view & experience. I’d go back.
The view was amazing. Staff was really nice.
