Chef Edgar Beas takes inspiration from his experience cooking in the Basque Country of Spain to create playful yet familiar takes on Spanish dishes at Top of The V. To accompany the menu is a Spanish-influenced beverage program and modern classics, resulting in an effortlessly cool craft cocktail bar. Our bar’s feature 20 taps that pour local craft beers from across California, and the wine list features bottles from Spain, California, Oregon and the Old World.

    Beef loin was perfect with an even sear, pink all the way through and well seasoned. The bomba rice is VERY salty, mushrooms lacked any flavor, duck has a thick fat layer that wasn't rendered and the skin was still chewy. Overall it was a hit and miss on the menu.

    The table we’d been set at wasn’t working for my party. We were moved to a seating at the couches by the window. More comfortable and a better view. We ordered from the tapas menu and were pleased with the shareable portions of octopus, shrimp, pork belly, squash, and artichokes. Definitely worth a return visit for date night for a cocktail, octopus, shrimp, and pork belly!

    The ambiance and the service is top notch. However, as a vegetarian the food waa pretty basic and lack luster. Cheese plate. Okay. Artichoke needed salt or acid. It tasted like oil. Potatoes tasted basic. Ordered sangria, good. La capilla felt like it was missing flavors, couldn't find the cilantro. Mushroom rice wa good, but not great. Chocolate citrus dessert, good. Overall, the atmosphere did not match the food and drink. Especially when considering the pricing. However, I cannot speak to the meat items. My experience as vegetararian is that some restaurants heavily rely on their meats to carry the flavor of the rest of the options and let the sides and vegetables stay basic. This might have veen the case for the food here.

    The paella was okay. It wasn’t presented as such on the menu. I only recognized it when it was brought to the table. The prime rib was very oily. Drinks were delicious though along with the artichoke. Our sever was awesome too! Not sure why but there was an alcohol tax on our bill which we actually spoke to the manager about. We as consumers should not be paying that tax. It’s supposed to be paid by the vendor. When we brought it to their attention, no one had any idea what we were talking about. And for the manager who has been in the industry for “25 years” that’s kind of embarrassing. He also stated that all the Marriott’s do it. Just because it’s being done, doesn’t mean it should be. Hmm… still debating on a return visit.

    From the time the waiter approached the table, we felt like we had started a race to see how fast he could get us to order, eat and pay the bill. Then the two dishes we ordered were the worst paella I have ever had, the fish sole fillet was so small and the flavor had to be covered with sauce to mask the artafisheal butter flavor and stale after test ,to be honest, I'm sure if this is the new team in the kitchen after the change in companies I would only return for a drink at the bar. Now the Frist time we had a great experience with the dish of Duck wow but it was the Radisson at that time . So for the price I would recommend driving to Newport and having a great dinner at any other Restaurant .

    It was by far one of the best restaurants I have been so far. Our waitress Selene was awesome she explained everything and recommended how to start and work our way up. The food was delicious and the drinks were superb. It’s a great place for a dinner date.

    The food was so good, my favorite were the arroz de langosta and pulpo a la plancha. The orejas crujientes de cerdo was very good too. The carrillera was a little bit salty. The only think I didn’t like was that I made a reservation before going but still had to wait. The service as great, the waiter made sure everything was okay with our plates.

    Overall experience was okay. Went to celebrate a birthday and expected way more for the price we paid. Despite being one of the first few tables of the night, the reserved table was not ready and it took a while for the server to finally touch table. We got a variety of appetizers and main dishes, but the portion size of appetizers and main dishes was definitely not for sharing. We were seated outside and the SA’s were kind enough to bring us blankets due to the fact that there were no outdoor heaters by the tables. The ambiance itself was nice and you have a nice view of Disneyland and California Adventures! Don’t think I’ll be coming back too soon, but it was worth a try!

    I first experienced this restaurant February 2021 and I was impressed with the food. However, the menu has changed slightly changed since that time and seems to be very limited. Overall, it was decent but I didn’t like the fact that the waiter asked if we would like some and bread and brought out some sauce with the bread. When we received the check, not only was there a charge for the bread but we were also charged for the sauce, that we did not ask for. The waiters should not assume that customers want additional items that there’s a charge for. I’m completely aware of the type and cost of this restaurant, however, for those individuals that may go on a budget.

    We got the worst table ever , never in my life i paid 450 for dinner on my birthday to get a table where we all sit next to each other and our views was everyone else back . No one can even noticed us . Server were so heard to call . This will be my first and last time here

    Love the place, but their corkage fee is $45. I did speak with manager, he was very nice and was going to look into it

    Food was wayyy overpriced for quality delivered, most dishes were quite flavorless. We had been here before before the Marriott buy-out and the cocktails were phenomenal. Food at that time was more tapas style. Cocktails this time were disapointing with the exception being the Carajillo, which was quite good. The other 5 we tried were either to underdeveloped in flavor or way too much sweet and sour. The food was disapointing, espically for the price.

    Authentic Spanish food from the Basque region. Chef Edgar is the best.

    Asked for a coke got diet, 3 times in a row. Asked for salt and pepper, asked 4 people, 15 minutes for it. Food was cold by then. Poor service
