We take great pride in serving what we think is some of the best food on the Gulf Coast. Everything is homemade fresh in our kitchen daily. Many of our dishes are our Mama’s recipes. Seriously some of the best food in Houston consistently! Owners on site make a difference. I ordered something not on the menu and the owner supervised my order to get it done correctly! Can't beat that! Highly recommend Tony Mandola's.

We had dinner here on Valentine's Day. The service was very, very good. There were plenty of service staff and they were very attentive. My husband enjoyed the oysters. The crab cake appetizer was very good. The Shrimp Scampi and the steak were excellent. The only disappointment was the molten lava chocolate cake a la mode. The cake was not good at all. I think they forgot the eggs, oil, and sugar. All in all we enjoyed it and would go again when in Houston.

I put the noise level as moderate. We went for a late lunch on Valentines Day to avoid the "rush."

One of your options was energetic. Moderate is a good thing. It was so nice not to have to practically scream to be heard!

Mr. Tony Mandola even greeted us at the front door! This was a birthday and Valentine celebration which we both truly enjoyed! The fish was so fresh and tasted wonderful!

Lovely venue with attention to detail and great food. I’m not a seafood fan but there’s plenty to order here besides that; you won’t leave hungry. I do wish they wouldn’t have a “mandatory” valet when the parking lot has plenty of room at lunch. I don’t like others driving my car who have no responsibility for it if damaged.....

When we arrived it was very crowded. Our waiter was busy so we knew there would be a wait. Luckily we weren’t in a hurry. The food was good but not $300 good. It wasn’t as great as people said.

We were going to the theatre downtown on a Saturday night and arrived about an hour before we needed to head there. We told our waiter about our timing needs. He was terrific, actually got us served and done in about 45 minutes so we had some time for dessert and coffee.

Oysters Damian are outstanding although $17 for 4 of them is a bit pricey. The gumbo is very good but doesn't have enough seafood in it. The Sicilian salad is also outstanding. We had fried oyster dinners and they were also outstanding. The coconut cream cake for dessert was only so so.

Promptly seated but no surprise as the restaurant as mostly empty despite a 7:30 reservation on Friday night. Server was more aggressive than what I consider attentive service in pushing us to order appetizer or the off menu specials. Food was average. Hot appetizer was served lukewarm, entrées, both fish dishes were OK but nothing that would make you want to revisit the restaurant with tres leches to finish the evening. The ambiance of a mostly empty restaurant combined with a staff that seems to recognize the atmosphere is closer to a wake rather than an exciting meal out. Would not recommend this to my friends.

It had been a number of years since I dined at Tony Mandola's . Service was not up to the level I recall and while food was good - it was not great. Overall a good dining experience, but not the level of service and quality I recall.

Overall, great AS USUAL. Not our server’s best effort but the lobster bisque and pontchartrain made up for it. Great joint. Going back in a few days
