We take great pride in serving what we think is some of the best food on the Gulf Coast. Everything is homemade fresh in our kitchen daily. Many of our dishes are our Mama’s recipes. The menu is excellent. I had a delicious Texas bass seafood and my date had a filet mignon steak that was vert tender. Service excellent.

We met at Tony Mandola’s early for a light bite before a play down the street which started at 7:30. We arrived later than expected due to traffic. I informed the valet and hostess we were on a tight timeline and all parts came together. They took our orders quickly, i had the gumbo which was perfectly seasoned- not “gluey roux” and my dinner companion had the Cocktail Vincente. service was attentive and we finished, paid, and found our car at the front door. You can’t ask for any better dining experience on a clock than that. Thank you!

Went pre-theatre, worried about the prices. However, a salad, gumbo, and glass of wine were plenty. Also delicious, with excellent service.

One of the best Cajun, Italian, Mexican food I ever had. Eat out twice a week but this place was special, they had wonderful Boudin sausage, fantastic garlic bread, amazing Gumbo and great seafood. One of the best chefs in Houston.

This was my first visit; it will not be my last. The service was impeccable and the food was divine. We were going to see Ann at Stages Repertory Theater after dinner, so the location was perfect.

My trout was over cooked and dry. Tony Mandela’s used to be great but since the move
From West Gray it is now only fair. Prices are quite high and food is just not
Good enough to merit the cost.

Went for a birthday dinner before the theater and sat outside. The fountain was on and the sound of the water sort of eased the sound of the traffic. We were not aware of the coming and going of cars, but we were aware of the wrought iron fencing, the lantern lights, and the container plants. Our waiter, Oscar, took perfect care of us, bringing a candle to the table at our request, splitting our entree, and refilling our wine glasses as we proceeded through the meal. Every step of the way was easy, every bite and sip were delicious, and the service was excellent.

Tony Mandola is always there, and so welcoming. Our food was excellent -- ceviche, cocktail Vincente, pasta Tony, and special blackened redfish (really blackened -- not just cajun seasoned, as most restaurants get away with these days). Only blemish was waiter bringing entrees when we had barely started our appetizers. Otherwise, service was perfect. We will always go back.

The food was quite delicious and service was great. We were very complimenting of everything until the end of dinner.
The one disappointment I had was that my girlfriend's birthday was not acknowledged even though I wrote it in the reservation. I thought it was something you do not do until I saw another guest being served dessert with a lighted candle. I then asked the server and he told me that he was never told. He then announced that he would deduct the charge for the dessert and announced it again after he returned with my credit card.
I told him twice that my reason for mentioning it was not because I didn't want to pay for it, but that I wanted to celebrate my girlfriend. It's an annual tradition which we both have and I was disappointed that a beautiful evening ended that way.

The restaurant was too cold. I had to go to my car to get a wrap and asked to change tables

Loved Everything, cooked a little more rare than expected on the ribeye but it was free with rodeo ticket so can’t complain there and our server was outstanding. I think it was Andrew? I’m not good with names though. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly and quick on the draw. He even was able to request all the carrots removed from my wife’s meal before it got to the table. He totally made the experience for sure. The food tasted amazing and the sides were all delicious and the lobster tail was awesome!

Consistently the most fresh, delicious seafood prepared Louisiana/ Sicilian style. As always owners are on site and on the floor making sure guests are completely happy!!! No one does this better! I order a dish not on their menu and the owner has them make it for me. Who does this? The best part was that this restaurant’s version of was even better! Love this place!

We got the groupon 4 course for 2 and it was a excellent value. We didn't plan on bringing home left overs but had plenty from each course. The Snapper Phyllis is awesome! Overall great afternoon lunch.

When we walked in at the time of our reservation they were running the vacuum cleaner and putting tables together. It took 35 minutes to get our food, which arrived cold. The lobster Benedict was awful. The tiny pieces of lobster were overcooked and rubbery. The bacon was all fat and barely fried. The potatoes seemed to have a burnt stale oil taste, maybe from using the prior night’s oil. The eggs were good. The coffee and the bread at the beginning were good. This was our first experience, and most likely, our last. Too much $$ for a poor experience.

The food was outstanding and the service attentive without being intrusive. Tony Mandola was present and visited with tables making sure things were as the guests expected. The personal touch and attention makes a big difference with restaurants.

The big challenge is the noise level. I couldn't hear my dinner companion unless we both raised our voices.

Tommy (The Manager) was very happy to see us arrive, and made sure we were well taken care of by the wait staff.
He also told us of the off menu items (one of which I ordered, and loved-the Redfish). Wife had the oysters, and told me they were delicious! Great Cosmo by the bar staff!

Looking forward to visiting again soon.

The food was delicious! The customer service was excellent! We were fortunate to have a long conversation with Tony’s wife - she was courteous and very nice. We loved talking to her.

The customer service over all was excellent.

The wine is very reasonably priced. We went on a Groupon fixed price 4 course meal coupon. We want to come back and have the opportunity to order what we want from the menu.

The ambiance was awesome. Like we were in New Orleans. Loved it!!

Loved it will come back!
