We didn’t get our first plate until 50 minutes after seating. It was a tasting and served family style? Nothing served was in order from the menu so constant guessing what was being served. Long waits between family style plates. A fellow diner went to the kitchen for bread because we were all so hungry. That diner left shortly after that. My friend and I stayed long enough to taste a couple of main course meats, both over cooked and dry. We left after that, three hours after we sat to be served. That was more than enough time for a complete tasting and dessert, which we did not get. Extremely disappointed! No compensation was offered for our miserable experience. The staff knew and could have comped the wine of something but no.

The dinner with Monica Pope was an absolute disaster. Incredibly unorganized, poor service, the staff did try to do their absolute best. But they were understaffed and not prepared at all. The food was mediocre at best. Not what we expected after years of loyalty to Monica Pope, and all of her restaurants. The attitude at the end of the evening that Monica gave was absolutely ridiculous, This was supposed to be a 13 course tasting menu. It was served family style, out of order, not hot when it was supposed to be hot for one course, the beet salad, everyone at the table got one thinly sliced beet. The dinner started an hour late, at 10 PM. We decided to leave. Without having the full tasting menu. There were so many things wrong with this dinner. There is not enough space on this review to write. Do better.$125 pp for one of the worst meals ever.

What a joy it was to once again enjoy Monica Pope's hospitality and delicious food. We hope she is invited back to curate another pop-up-- maybe the prix fixe Friday lunches at t'fia! Plus the regular bar staff and servers were excellent. We plan to add 'Tonight & Tomorrow' to our list of regular lunch/dinner spots.

We live in the neighborhood and this was our second visit for a special brunch occasion, and both times the wait staff seemed either too busy or were untrained. We were welcomed by the valets and warmly greeted by the hostess. The waiters were friendly and polite but we expected more professional/attentive table service given the elevated atmosphere and menu. Several items were never delivered (coffee and juice) and we had been seated a full hour before our orders were finally brought. At one point we helped ourselves to a carafe of water from the wait station.

Ambiance had some awkward silence. The only sound/noise was carrying from the bar area across the entryway The food was very good but not great. Ceviche was a bit heavy and small. Butter rolls were very good. Caesar salad was good but didn’t have enough dressing for my liking. Steak and burger were cooked to our liking and the portions were good. Duck was delicious, nice savory and sweet contrasting flavors. Good wine and cocktail list. Beautiful atmosphere. Wait staff was great- attentive and kind.

The perfect place to dine for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch or Dinner. Very unassuming. Jenny and Wendelyn ( not sure of the correct spelling) greet you as if you were a dear friend. The menu offerings are not overwhelming with just the right amount of French influence.

The food was excellent as usual, but the service was a little slow. We arrived at the restaurant at 11:30 and did not get our meal until 1220. Some parties that came in after us got their meal so I’m not sure what the holdup was.

We have had brunch at Colombe’d Or on several occasions, but the special menu for Mother’s Day was very disappointing. We sent an item back to the kitchen because it was cold and dry. The ambience is lovely and the service excellent. The menu will be reviewed prior to any booking in the future.
