Simon and Tania Johnson have owned Tinamba Hotel since October 2020 and feel honoured to be the custodians of the hotel’s proud heritage as they build upon a vision from previous owners, Brad Neilson, Damien Gannon, the Schoenmaeker and Whelan families.

Using the finest, locally grown fresh produce from local suppliers and working with the most talented chefs in the region is what the Johnsons believe sets Tinamba Hotel apart. The signature dishes deliver a truly memorable experience, served in a setting famously known as Gippsland’s favourite destination dining venue.

Great experience for all of our table. Service was fantastic and the meals was amazing. We all enjoyed a 3 course meal which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We will most definitely be back and I recommend giving this venue a try.

We had the set menu. Seating and the general ambiance was terrific. Service was above average Meal service was timely and very pleasant . Space and comfort was outstanding All this is reflected in the cost as is normal Only downside is the consistent sms messages from the WEB handling the bookings. Good to visit a such a facility in rural Vic

It was my fourth time partaking of the tasting menu. I appreciated the decorum by which the owner reseated me, after someone at another group table was fixated upon my Issey Miyake designer shirt, that has been my treasured possession for over 30 years.

Loved the smorgasbord experience as a way of trying a variety of different foods on offer. The team are attentive and dedicated to making your experience at Tinamba just like a lunch with friends and family. Relaxed atmosphere with people not crammed in a space. The food and drinks always great! The only thing I think needed attention was the veggies were a little cold. Desserts other than the cheese had fruit, but just ask and something is done to change that… a tart without fruit was taken out of the fridge and given to my husband who doesn’t eat fruit. Yep just like home!! Thank you team!

We love it here, we were seated in the cosy dining ‘nook’ and enjoyed the quick and attentive service, waitress was a natural. The barramundi melted in your mouth and desserts were all excellent! The chicken Parma’s were a little overdone, but better that way than under-done. Drinks were all lovely. The bread is to die-for! Yum!

What an amazing culinary experience, the food, service, and ambience was spectacular, this was our first time dining at the Tinamba and won't be our last, thank you Simon and crew.

We had a small family gathering in the Alcove. It was the perfect space, the food was great (the kids adored the pasta and had great fun playing chess) and we had a wonderful meal. Thanks so much for complimentary ANZAC biscuits and bread. It was a lovely evening.

What a lovely experience! Setting out on the verandah is lovely and peaceful, and staff are great. And the food - wow! Great value and plenty of it… 10/10 for every aspect from us!
