Tiki's Grill & Bar - Waikiki
Laid-back restaurant with ocean views. Food exceeded my expectations.
Great sunset. Food was pretty good, but way over priced. It’s a chain, so you kind of get what you’d expect from a chain. They come take a “free” picture, and then try to sell you it for $20. You order their famous mai tai and they try to sell you the glass it comes in. But the service was great and the view of the sunset over Waikiki unbeatable.
Really nice night out with friends. Waitress had no problems with my menu revisions, and didn't upcharge me for a change from pasta to veggies. The setting has all kinds of ambiance...we had a great night.
I recommend to no one because I am not your marketing department.
We had a wonderful dining experience that exceeded our expectations. One thing most important was one of our party was having issues and not feeling well. When asked about what would help to make her dining experience exemplary in light of her situation it was perfect! There was a clear broth delicious vegetable, chicken soup with lemongrass and other seasonings but just the right amount for her digestive delicacies that day. They also offered just an order of the Molokai sweet potatoes with a light coconut milk for her other choice. It was perfect. We so enjoyed a preview of the St. Patrick’s Day spring rolls with that amazing house cured corned beef by your Executive Chef Ronni Nasuti utilizing local Kunoa Beef. The cheese sauce with Guinness was a triumphant way to dip and roll those pieces in extreme decadence. We had a Poisson Cru in pot cones that was subtle but with underlying notes on the palate that complemented the beautifully subtle ingredients letting the fish speak for itself with a strong voice.
We were so lucky to have Sarah as our host for the evening. Her knowledge and well paced non-intrusive participation in our dining was just what we needed. She knew everything that we wanted to know through questions and added pertinent information that helped us want to try the menu items by her enthusiastic way of describing the vision of the kitchen. We loved the fresh catch, oh my! The guava glazed ribs were so perfect!!!!! Nice crispy outside and fall off the bone texture without being “mushy” as can be the case. They were happy to let me have the wasabi mashed potatoes instead of fries which was the perfect combination. We sat outside, the temperature was great, we had a great view. We were staying at the Halekulani for the weekend. The next day we saw our favorite pool host from House Without A Key. As we were ordering our breakfast the famous Mai Tai’s he asked “what did you do last night for dinner?” He recommends you to guests!
Great waiter who knew the menu. Nice table
We were on vacation in Waikiki. This was our favorite meal. The lamb shank with shrimp gnocchi was delicious and the Parmesan chicken was also excellent. Dessert was orange creme brûlée. The service was great. A little got outside before sunset but beautiful views of Waikiki. The pina colada was not excellent
We ordered braised lamb shank for our entrees because it is one of our favorites. It was not properly prepared, should be "fall off the bone tender", it was inedible. The waiter was very gracious and quickly offered us anything else on the menu which was then delivered by management with apologies. The food was adequate.
A classic Tiki experience. Waitstaff was very prompt, friendly and courteous.
As they say " The BEST MAI TAI's.. Are SOOO CORRECT! The Macademia nut fish dish was out this world. It's a little pricey, but it's worth it.. Once a month ...or so. Loved it.
This restaurant needs better management. Waiter was involved with a large party & clearly had no time for us.
He was frazzled, sweating as he ran by. Drink orders were wrong, salad course was plopped down
with our main courses.
Ramon was our server. He was pleasant friendly and helpful. We both had fish . The food was great and service was very good. The sunset was beautiful. We had a great time and will be back again when we are in town.
The poke bowl was very good. Would definitely recommend.
It was a little expensive.
We ate there 3 times the week we stayed at the Asten Waikiki beach hotel. Great every time. Jeff from Independence Oregon.
Food was ok nothing special a good place to grab a quick meal and listen to the music
Annoying all the drinks require a souvenir cup. Pricy but fun and friendly. Food was perfect!
Everything was excellent! The food the staff and atmosphere. The price was a little on the high side but worth it!
I was not good at English, so I thought it was a photo service, but I asked for 20 dollars for two pages.
Well I met this girl step
We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated promptly. Our server was very nice, knowledgeable with menu suggestions and tried to be helpful with recommendations. Food was very slow to come out and not all of us enjoyed our meals. But live music in corner and fairly good view from our table, we just enjoyed the Hawaiian sunset and drinks. Wouldn’t race back there tho as our food could have been better quality.
We went there for lunch at 2pm. The restaurant wasn’t that busy. I had to ask for plates and utensils to eat my food when it was brought out. The most disappointing part about our lunch...My son always order lava flows when we are in HI. He’s 18 now but it’s one is his favorite drinks and it’s tradition. He likes the taste and the look of the drink. When his lava flow was brought out, the waiter tried to pass it off as a lava flow and said it was blended so it look like a strawberry daiquiri. My son is not a big complainer so he drank it but he mentioned when the check came that it’s was not a lava flow. I reviewed the check and indeed it was rang up as a daiquiri. I didn’t like that the waiter thought we are stupid and wouldn’t know the difference so I brought it to his attention that it was definitely not a lava flow. He continue to insist that it was a lava flow and that there’s not much difference between a lava flow and a daiquiri. He didn’t apologize and I didn’t leave a good tip. I one that is very generous with tips.
We just love what Ronnie has done with the place! If you're a Hawaiian Foodie you know Ronnie!! So based on the name, Tikis does not disappoint in decor & Hawaiian food. The ambiance is fun. Live music, happy hour, special events they do it all. We come for the specials & the Mac Nut Crusted Hawaiian Fish & Miso Butterfish!
Great place to wear the Hawaiian clothes. Great for groups or just a romantic night for two on the lanai. You MUST VISIT Tikis bar & grill anytime every time you're in Waikiki Beach
Second visit in three days. Amazing service and food. Love music was great. Best meal in Waikiki hands down.
They knew it was our honeymoon and did nothing special for us...bummer. Was suppose to be a special meal
We picked for the view but the food and the live music were outstanding also.
Slow reception at table and seated right next to other patrons when other empty tables available. Expensive $15.99 Mai tai
Great food, great service, sunset views
The wait staff is extremely nice and friendly.
Food is tasty and satisfying.
View is awesome!
I love the pictures!
The perfect place to enjoy the sun setting on Waikiki Beach. Great food, excellent service and a fun relaxed atmosphere.
Amazing view, decent food.
We were vacationing in Waikiki Beach and happened to see the restaurant while eating across the street. It looked really cool and appeared to be be very lively. We ate there the next night and loved the atmosphere. Food and music were great.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable price.
Excellence ambiance, entertainment, food, service, and sunset view! One of the highlights of our time in Waikiki!
If you are looking for a place to dine outside with an amazing view of the sunset...THIS IS IT! I have eaten here numerous times...but only for sunset. Their lava flows are some of the best I’ve had. I order the butterfish with the coconut shrimp appetizer. I have not had as good of experience with their other food selections. The food is good, but you come here for the sunset.
Made reservations over a week ago. Mentioned 70 Birthday celebration. They took us to a table where the sun was shining directly in my eyes, so we requested a table by the rail and there were tee. They went back to see. And we waited, while they seated two people that came in after us at one of the table we requested to be moved to. We continued to stand waiting. Finally when no one came back, we were going to leave. We stopped by the desk on the way out and told them we made reservations a week ago and then they took us to the other open table on the rail. After all that, dinner was really good, presentation, and service. They forgot to do anything about the 70’th Birthday. We took advantage of their 1/2 off all wines on Wednesday.
We had a fantastic time at the Tiki bar. The food was awesome and we loved the drinks. The view is spectacular! We had a great time!
