Called me on Wednesday to tell me they have closed, as we had reservations for Friday. We always enjoyed the Wooden Table, and very sorry to see it go.
Very sad to see Wooden Table close. We really enjoyed our many happy visits! Thank you!
Nice quiet restaurant with an inspired menu! Perfect for a date night or special occasion.
Great night! Brinn was our server and had knowledge and suggestions. The hits were the venison bolognese and cheese ravioli.
The price of the food for what you get is ridiculous. Two plates of ravioli. With NO sides???? A tea and 4 tiny slices of bread for $63! Not including the tip! I was still hungry when I left. The food was mediocre. I was extremely disappointed! Wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.
Cavetelli and atlantic char were both excellent although the cavetelli was a bit salty due to the prosciutto. We have now been to this restaurant 5-6 times and have yet to have a disappointing meal.
The staff is friendly and welcoming at the Wooden Table. They offer an interesting menu of entrees, starters, salads and desserts. There is an extensive wine list. It is not inexpensive, but it is a special place to go for special occasion.
We had a nice dinner, good service and enjoyed the wine. We started with the mussels, I enjoyed the veal and my husband liked the Arctic char. Followed it up with average tiramisu. We both noticed the decor is pretty bland and could be better for a place that charges the prices they do.
Our first dining experience at The Wooden Table. We were delighted and very pleased with the food. All 4 of us had delicious entrees and our sausage bread appetizer was awesome. I highly recommend this restaurant we will definitely be eating there again and again!
If I could click more Stars I would ....so here.. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. This is a place to experience if you like FAB FOOD! I will be back. Wish they had a Happy Hour... And I was happy any way!!! Yum in my tum. See y'all soon! Real soon...
The food & service was excellent!
The Wooden Table is a great neighborhood gem. The food was delicious and worth the price. Nice cocktail and wine selection. Our server was not very attentive and not familiar with the menu. I would still highly recommend this restaurant and will go back again.
Food was just ok, service was bad. I would not recommend.
The food is undeniably outstanding. What hurts this restaurant the most is the inconsistent and slow service, and that it is small. Don't come here if you're on a time crunch (you have a movie or another event afterward). Dinner service can be about two hours +/-. If you're not in a hurry and just want great food in an intimate setting, this is the place. Great variety of apps, pastas, meat and seafood dishes, as well as drinks and desserts.
Definitely pricey. Definitely delicious. A place for special occasions. Most flavorful meal I think I’ve ever had.
The service was friendly and attentive. The food was prepared nicely and was good quality. I liked that fact that ingredients were locally sourced when possible
Delicious and great price
Service was great but for the price food was just okay.
We have dined here for many years and their quality continues to be good
We had a wonderful dinner with relatives visiting from California! The Wooden Table is our favorite restaurant! Everyone was extremely accommodating (we had a three month old baby in a stroller with us)! The food is always delicious! We're already looking forward to our next dinner at The Wooden Table!
The service was great. The drinks were just fantastic, the salads were the perfect amount and the perfect dressing, the entre's were just excellent. I strongly recommend this restaurant for families, for couples, for dates, etc.
Wonderful experience. Food was top notch!!!
Will definitely return despite being on the other side of town!
It was great
I would definitely recommend The Wooden table to a friend with the following caveat: The food is excellent but be prepared to wait as the service is inconsistent at times. I don't think our server was very familiar with or knowledgeable about the wine list, but the wine we ordered with dinner paired well with the Arctic Char with White Truffle Cream as well as Brined Bone-in Pork Chop. The mussel appetizer was fantastic!
Outstanding dining experience - excellent pastas, mussels and veal.
Food was Amazing! The staff was well educated on the menu and the dishes.
Fabulous manager who offered us Prosecco at the bar while we waited for our reserved table. Upon seating, Jay, our server went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect from start to finish. The menu had so many delicious options. The wine list was elegant and full of great selections. We will be back!
Comfortable neighborhood restaurant with good prices, outstanding food and pleasant knowledgeable staff. We go regularly.
Excellent food and great service. We will definitely come back again.
The food was delicious and the service attentive without being intrusive. We had the Mushroom Mezzaluna and the Steak Salad, both of which were perfectly sized. I was a bit taken aback by the price of the (meatless) pasta at $28 for a plate that wasn’t overly large however. But otherwise very good overall.
Went to dinner last Sunday on a very cold night. 5°. The restaurant had trouble with their heating system and their solution was just to admit that they had inadequate heat. People had their down jackets on, we should have just left.
The food although good could’ve been a lot warmer. Also this might just be my preference but I don’t like an entire wine list of Italian wines. The waiter suggested a glass that was $16 – ridiculous and it wasn’t that good.
Excellent veal saltimbocca and duck. Pastas are always good. Good wine selection.
So we began with two cocktails at the bar because we got there about 30 minutes early. The modern atmosphere within the restaurant was very appealing, not too modern. We finished our drinks and used the yelp checkin for by one get one free for the cocktails, which was awesome as they were $12.00 each. We were sat at our reservation time. The waiter that we had was fairly new, so he wasn’t as informed about the wine list as we had wished but we managed just fine, choosing the Rosso that was perfect to accompany the cheese plate for our appetizer. Following we had the duck and the pork chops. The duck at medium rare was wonderful, but the pork chop was dry, ordered medium rare. The tiramisu for desert was different than we had experienced before and had a good amount of chocolate, which is unusual. But the staff was very friendly. If we go again we’re planning on getting the cheese plate again, the duck and trying one of their pastas while finishing with the tres leches cake.
This was our first visit to wooden table restraunt, it was a last minute reservation for Valentine's day dinner with my wife. I was not expecting a preset menu only, I knew they were having a special dinner but I figured they would have the regular menu as well, wrong! Well it was good but overpriced I thought. The wine was excellent, but again, pricey. It's a small venue that feels more like it should be a gallery or a shop, but they do a good job of making it feel welcoming and inviting. It wasn't to crowded, quiet inside, even when busy, good spacing between tables and bar area. And they do have a small patio. The food was tasty and well prepared. Portions were standard. Staff is all very freindly and helpful. Other than being expensive I give this place a 4 star rating. I would like to come back and try their regular menu! Worth trying if you don't mind spending a bit of cash! You won't leave hungry or unsatisfied at least!
Good food. But limited selection on set menu.
Good food. But limited selection on set menu.
PreFix menu for Valentine's Day was disappointing and overpriced. Food was good but we had expected more from Wooden Table. We waited 1/2 an hour or more for the main course to be served and my wife pointed out that not a single table in the entire restaurant had any food on other guests tables. Unbelievable. Kitchen cluster tonight..... You would think with the limited menu selection that they could be prompt. Our server was very nice and tried her best but we were ultimately disappointed.
We enjoy The Wooden Table. We ordered Arctic Char and short ribs, both very good and served hot. Service by Austin was friendly, attentive and efficient. The Tre Leche cake was a perfect ending to a lovely meal!
Excellent service from Annie and delicious food as always!
Always wonderful to dine at The Wooden Table. It’s a real gem
