They have consistently, good food, but their service is always painfully slow. On this occasion, some baggers came into the restaurant, seating area and up to our table and asked for money. When I asked to speak to a manager about this, so they could call security, or make sure other patrons weren’t bothered. Nobody bothered to come to our table to talk about it with us. I know it’s not the restaurants fault that this happened but they didn’t seem to care.

I had set a reservation for my girlfriend and I for our anniversary. We came early, and they set up a table for us immediately. The food was exceptional. The drinks were delicious. Our favorite were the lamb chops and their specialty cocktail with vodka citrus, and Tajín. Paul was thoughtful with his recommendations and left us completely satisfied! Their manager also came by, such a sweet genuine human. Thank you for our memorable first anniversary!

We had an amazing dinner and server who was very attentive and made sure everything was fine. We had the booth away from the main floor which was wonderful for privacy as we don't get to see my daughter very often. The drinks were top notch and the food was not rushed, which we also appreciated. The water was always filled, and items cleared quietly and quickly. Outstanding staff, chefs, receptionists, and managers. We look forward to going again for special occasions.

Extremely slow service. Arrived before reservation time and had to wait a long time for the table. Once sat, waited long time before the waiter came. Ordered a bottle of wine with food. The wine bottle doesn't come out until the appetizer arrived. Food was ok. Not worth the poor service and the relatively very high price tag. Not recommended. Will never return.

Service was great, ambiance was good, drinks are good, not the food. Bread and butter was good but not complimentary. Drinks were all good but bit pricey. Food was too salty and we couldn't even finish. I recommend to go there for drinks and appetizers, not for dinner.

Our 3rd time to eat at The Winery and we have been very happy with each of our visits. Everything we have ordered has been delicious and they have a very nice wine list including wine by the glass that is better than you see in most restaurants. Service is always excellent and we love the ambiance of both the indoor and outdoor dining. Can't wait to go back!

The noise level was definitely not energetic as much it was simply too loud for dinner. The food was excellent. The service was a little bit inattentive. Overall I would return for lunch, sitting outside but look for another place for dinner

I'm somewhat surprised I'm leaving this review as our (my wife and I) expectations were based on a wonderful dinner a couple of years ago at their restaurant in Newport Beach, which is harbor side. This dinner we a wonderful table location with a great view as we were seated next to a window looking out over La Jolla Village Drive, which was a great place to people-watch. The staff and the venue were great, no issues there. It was most (not all) of the food. What was excellent - bread service and the onion soup. Not so good was the Hawaiian Ahi Tuna Poke - bland, not much of any flavor at all, very disappointing. My wife had a ribeye, medium, which was cooked a little past medium. She said the steak was a little dry, which is odd for a ribeye, and was ok. My main course was the Ono special, but my issue was probably due to me not paying enough attention to the description, which he did describe as being rare on the inside. I love rare Ahi, but not rare Ono so much. On the good side (again) was the side mushrooms and the creme brulee, those were excellent! Phenomenal wine list!!

This is a very nice restaurant with good food. Today they were having some sort of issue and the service was exceptionally slow. But I’ve been here a few times before with wonderful service so I think something out of the ordinary was going on.

So many things. Long wait time between salad and entrée. Steak was without seasoning and overcooked, did not arrive to table even hot. Then bill came, we have our credit card, and when it was brought back we were told they changed the charge because they forgot to charge us for coffee. We had ordered coffee and dessert, the coffee came 15 minutes before the peach cobbler, so we had no coffee with the dessert, and the peach cobbler had a licorice taste and lots of other fruit but nearly no preaches. Terrible experience.

The food is excellent, and presented beautifully. I had the Mahi Mahi, and it was cooked perfectly. My spouse had the delicious duck. The restaurant is very attractive, but can get a bit noisy. If you want a quiet area, ask for a booth at the far right side of the restaurant.

Overall the experience was good, I wish they’d have a dress code for dinner. We dress up as well more people around us, but there were others wearing shorts and flip flops. For another hand, we were celebrating my wife birthday, and we don’t even have a “courtesy cake” like many other restaurants do at level, it was a little disappointed . Other than that, food was good.

So glad we chose to dine at The Winery. There were many dining options in the area but this restaurant and our experience there definitely stood out. The ambiance was upscale, the team was fashionable and very attentive, and the food and drinks exceeded our fine dining expectations. Kudos to all for making it such a memorable date night.

The food is second to none and the variety is great. My husband had the bone barrow and bacon wrapped venison and it was perfection! I love the salmon and get it every time. Courtney our waitress was amazing and owner Linda was top notch checking on us. This is a favorite of ours and love the Newport Beach location too!
