   Always enjoy going to the Wheatsheaf. Food was really nice, only criticism was the Yorkshire puddings on everyones Sunday roast we very dry and over done. Apart from that food and service great.

   Great food and good service. Location is amazing and the menu is surprisingly good. Had the duck confit and it was one of the best I’ve had so far. Nice local pub on the food scene I reckon.

   Fiends visiting from out of town and the Wheatsheaf was a great place for a casual dinner. They really enjoyed the fish and chips! The dining room is quieter than the pub. Service was very friendly and helpful!

   Amazing roast - the lamb to share was mindblowingly great and perfect for 3 of us to share. The 4th person in our party was somewhat jealous!

   The food was an average Sunday Dinner at best (Meat was very fatty). The service on the other hand left a lot to be desire! We waited over 45 minutes for our starters to arrive and had several drinks forgotten. We were also served drinks in a dirty glasses. As we paid and split the bill, when the waitress discovered we were not paying the service charge she very abruptly walked away in angry highlighting that we ‘should have told her that at the start and that she didn’t know what she was going to do now’, rather than enquiring why we were opting out of paying a service charge in this instance. Unprofessional by all accounts.

   Great pub! We sat for dinner in the dining room where it was a little more formal than the bar but still a relaxed vibe with good food and friendly service. Just what we were after

   Lovely roast beef eaten in the beer garden- excellent red wine to accompany (Cabernet Franc) and great service with just the right level of attention

    Had a lovely time. Staff really genuine and helpful. We were really well looked after and Food was lovely
