Executive Chef Jon Simoneau has developed a menu that features fresh, sustainable raised Colorado beef for quality steak selections and a range of New American dishes that can be enjoyed. We also have a full cocktail bar and carefully curated an extensive selection of wines that is approachable and newcomers and connoisseurs alike.

We are located adjacent to Union Station on the corner of 15th & Wynkoop. Our focus is on consistently good food without the frills and fuss of haute cuisine but delivering on 5-star service.

Food was alright but nothing special. Server failed to put out n entire food order. They did take late items off the bill. Nice spot but overpriced for what it is.

The food is way overpriced for the quality. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box and the vegetables were just steamed with no flavor. There was seemingly one server for the whole restaurant, she was really nice, but she seemed to know she was spread too thin. The cocktails were great but the food was so bland. The music choice was weird, and the atmosphere was lacking.

Hi Jena - We are really sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us. We have worked exceptionally hard in an attempt to deliver a great product to Denver and it sounds like you really did not enjoy anything. I'd like you to know that our potato mash does not come from a box, our vegetables are sauteed to order, and while we try to meet everyone's discerning palate, we understand that it's a very lofty goal to achieve. We will do better to make our choice of music more normal and our atmosphere enticing, in the hopes that you will enjoy your next time with us.

This was my second time at The Velvet Cellar and it was even better than the first. We celebrated one of my friend’s birthday there and everyone was impressed.

We absolutely loved Velvet Cellar and our server Courtney. Courtney answered any and all questions we had & made sure we were getting exactly what we were looking for. The food was by far some of the best we’ve ever had. We are still talking about it the next day!

We enjoyed our dining experience here, the food was delicious, however the service was particularly slow, even though it didn't appear that the restaurant was at full capacity. It was likely due to a very large party next to us - so understandable.

Decent, but not bad. The Miso Salmon was a bit on the salty side with spots salted too heavily and other spots not salted at all. That made each bit differ with one being too salty and the next having no salt. The strawberry salad could use a touch less dressing too. But the food was a fun balance between healthy and adventurous (with a fairly good approach to blending flavors and ingredients). The wine selection was pretty good. The overall experience with the food, wine and drink selection, and ambiance/vibe of the place was pleasant.
