   We booked this on the strength of the reviews. It wasn't value for money. £253 with 1.5 bottles of wine. The place was so noisy we could barely talk to each other. The noise was added to by a gang of lads singing oggy oggy etc at the top of their voices. Not a great experience. We don't expect church like silence, but this was stupidly noisy. We believed it had dining rooms upstairs which would have been quieter. All in all not great. The staff were good, our waiter went off shift and the service changed. Not a place to return to.

During this time of year, our top floors are almost always reserved for functions, which causes the Ground Floor to become energetic and prevents us from offering quiet tables to our customers.    We booked upstairs which is usually very civilised, but they texted me on the day, having confirmed the day before that we would be upstairs, to say it wasn't;t open and that we would be in the bar. We were very disappointed, as the bar is very noisy and service is terribly slow due to lack of staffing, (possibly why they didn't; open upstairs). It's a good place and if you can eat upstairs very enjoyable, with reasonable good, but avoid the terribly noisy bar at all costs. It's terrible if you have a group of friends and can;t hear each other talking..

We apologise for not promptly communicating to you that the upstairs was not available in the evening, but during this time of the year, as we have a lot of reservations, it is really hard to keep up with all the requests and grant all of them, thank you for your understanding, and we hope this will not stop you from visiting us again in the future.

   Always spectacular. Can be very busy so recommend always booking. Limited space to stand drinking.

   Always a pleasure to dine here. The team are welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous... Doing little things to enhance our experience. You wont be disappointed

   Lovely food, lovely atmosphere etc but let down by awful toilets. It’s not clear which is the gents and which is the ladies, plus when you get in there, they don’t look like they’re checked regularly and there was a broken seat too. So disappointing.
