Had to send our steaks back , when they were served they were rare even though we had ordered No Pink. Our server was very attentive and pleasant and apologetic for the way our steaks arrived. This was on Wednesday night after a huge rain and most restaurants in the French Quarter were closed due to flooding. The hostess seated two young women right behind us and they were extremely loud and talked on their phone almost the entire time ( So Rude ) Absolutely would not return of recommend.
The staff was great. The steak was okay. I keep going back because it is the best restaurant in Harrahs, and each time I hope that it gets better. It is just missing that amazingness that other steakhouses in this price range have.

bread was like a rock, manager took off the steak because we could not eat it.

Good food, larger portion size than expected. Would have likely enjoyed more if we weren’t so close to the kitchen or if the kitchen wasn’t so open to the rest of restaurants.
We had a terrible experience at this restaurant about a year ago. Decided to try again mainly out of convenience. The experience was much better this time. The prix fixe I had was a great value. The crab cake was loaded with crab, not breading and the steak was perfectly prepared and the cheese cake was too big to finish. Menu selected appetizers and steaks for others in our group came out perfect as well. Service was very good.
My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant when it was called "John Besh Steakhouse." During those times when Besh was directly involved, we always had a wonderful experience -- especially the quality of the food. We have eaten there one time since the name changed to "The Steakhouse." For our daughter's 21st birthday, we decide to take her and two of her friends there on June 29th. It was an awful experience. The service was good, but the food was the worst. Because they no longer have the porkchop, which I used to always get, I had the "pork (something)." It was uneatable. The entire bill was close to $500.00, and it was worth much less than that. The salad was not fresh; the crab/orzo rice was served in a bowl and felt like it was more of a "mush." The sauce that came with my pork was pesto -- who serves that? The steaks were flavorless. It was simply awful. Yet, the waiter was nice and apologetic.
The food was delicious and our waiter was spectacular! However it was freezing.
As always, food was excellent! We always get the crab cakes & corn & crab risotto. To die for!! Steaks are always cooked to perfection.
Our server was perfect. He knew exactly when to be around and gave excellent suggestions for food and drink. Very knowledgeable!!!
Had a warm welcome to the restaurant, hostess was really nice. Once seated and food was ordered, food arrived at the table cold!!!! Appetizer and Entree!! Never thought a steak restaurant wouldn’t know how to prepare and deliver a steak hot. And to think that the manager delivered my plate to me 🙄 Food was just okay. Won’t be returning
I have been to the steakhouse on several occasions, my guest porterhouse was over cook in some area, I had the father's day special, alot of fat.
We visited on Father’s Day. The two hostesses that greeted us were so friendly. Our waiter was ok. He took our orders and brought our water & bread then we never saw him again until it came time to pay the bill. Our foods flavor was unbelievably good. However each one of us had a complaint about something. My potatoes, my dad’s and both my sisters steaks were cold. I have been here several times going back to when it was Besh’s and I think this was the worse visit i’ve had. I expected more for the price we were paying

I was on a solo birthday trip and I celebrated myself with a birthday dinner at The Steakhouse. It was a wonderful experience. I have had only one prior experience dining there a little over a year ago (May 2018) and it was just as wonderful. From the chef team, the hostesses, Lacy and Ijani, to the server, Shawn, and even the bartender, Mark. My service was exceptional and for this I would return a third time!
I enjoyed a three course pre-fixe meal and every bite was memorable! 1st course was a Pan Fried Crab Cake
Panko crusted on remoulade; 2nd course was an Angus Filet Tenderloin (butterflied) atop asparagus and roasted garlic pomme puree; 3rd course was delectable, their Creole Cream Cheese Cheesecake with brown butter-bourbon caramel and Marcona almond streusel.
The mint juleps were on point, very balanced and pretty darn perfect! Thanks again for having an awesome team who represented The Steakhouse well! I look forward to my next visit to New Orleans and will make reservations a third time at The Steakhouse.

Atmosphere was really nice, lighting to read the menu was horrible. People were actually using the lights from their cell phones to read it, which in-turn was blinding to the ones sitting next to them. Awesome service. However, even though steak was cooked almost perfectly was way overpriced for the quality. This particular caesar salad was something that should never be served by a 4 star restaurant the taste and presentation left a lot to desire. Will i return probably not but was glad i did have the opportunity to try it first hand.
Ordered the Filet Tenderloin with loaded asparagus. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked; moist, tender, and loaded with flavor!. The topping on asparagus was blue cheese and bacon. The bacon seemed over cooked and was impossible to chew up. We also tried the 16oz wagyu filet and honestly, it wasn’t all that spectacular. It had a tough exterior and the flavor just wasn’t there. The loaded baked potato side was large and loaded, and very good. The starter buttermilk biscuits or rolls were lacking flavor and the side butter was not seasoned which left one missing flavor. For the price- we both hoped for a spectacular dinner experience with attentive service and unrivaled food quality, and it just didn’t hit the mark. Yes we would recommend The Steakhouse, but save yourself disappointment and $ and get the Filet...

We had a Caesar Salad and Lamb meatballs. The Salad was good and fresh, the meatballs were tough and seemed overcooked, although they did have a good flavor. My wife and I both ordered the Filet, which we have had before, ordered Med-Rare and both were over cooked. We sent them back and received a visit from the Manager with whom we discussed the issue. He saw to it that our replacements were cooked much more on the Rare side than our original, which they were. Very good flavor and texture and both Med-Rare. Brussels sprouts and broccoli were ok, nothing special.
We both ordered the blackened red fish because the last time we were here one of us ordered it and it was delicious. Unfortunately, this time both of us received dry, overcooked fish which was actually chewy. In my case my portion was actually burnt, not just blackened. Our server inquired as to our food and we advised her of the lack of quality. She immediately took our plates (we had only taken a couple of bites) and she brought out freshly prepared fish. The replacement was juicy, and extremely flavorful. Her service saved our evening.
Was playing in the WSOP Circuit poker tournaments, and a friend recommended The Steakhouse, commenting that it was very good. Had a night off from the tournaments, so decided to try it. Great recommendation! The only minor shortcoming was the steak was slightly undercooked. Ordered the filet, medium, and it came medium rare...still very good though. On the positive side, there is a 3-course meal option, which is a great deal, and I upgraded the steak that comes with the option to the filet. The dessert (a coffee flavor crème brulee) was outstanding, but I couldn't eat it all. They had live music, which was really good and at a great volume. The attentiveness of the staff was excellent.
The brussel sprouts are to die for!! The corn and crab risotto are very good as well!

Our food was very good. We shared a salad, steak & spaghetti dish. Our server, Margaret, was excellent. The ambiance was surprisingly positive being so close to the casino floor. The mood in the back of the restaurant is much nicer than we anticipated giving an expensive vibe. Unfortunately, a couple who appeared to be intoxicated were sitting near us & their conversation was annoying. However, Margaret handled their table quite well. The cost of the food is high but we used a casino dining credit which made the meal affordable.

Great spot for a relaxing meal. I was alone in NOLA looking for a steak in a comfortable environment. I sat at the bar, where the servers/bartenders where high caliper. Efficient, entertaining, personable, attentive. Martini was excellent. Steak (waygu strip) was superb. Everything else (foodwise) was just okay.
By far, the best meal I’ve ever had here. The tomato crusted sea bass was amazing as was the crab cake appetizer. Shawn was awesome and made our dining experience fabulous. Also, the strawberry/cayenne marg was to die for!!! Incredible dining experience.

Fabulous! Food was quite tasty and not overpriced. I recommend the oyster appetizer and blackened redfish. Service was outstanding and manager did rounds to make sure our experience was perfect. Great place to dine!
Our group of four enjoyed a variety of dishes. Crab cake, barbecued shrimp, gumbo, salads, vegetable dishes were all very good. We shared a cheesecake dessert and it was perfect. Waitstaff was attentive.
The steaks at this restaurant are outstanding. My boyfriend and I shared the porterhouse steak which was cooked to perfection and delicious. The asparagus and Brussel sprout side dishes were also exceptional.

Never disappoints! Food is fantastic (love the halibut!). We always ask for Donovon or Mike as our waiter and they're both wonderful!! Their steaks are also awesome!
We sat at the bar during Social Hour. The wine was excellent and the appetizers were fantastic. Loved the crab cake and oysters. Would definitely go back.
Didn’t have fish that was listed on menu. Menu on website was outdated, no lobster. Food was so so.
My wife and I went here for dinner at The Steakhouse on Sunday evening, March 31st, 2019. We had taken a long weekend to New Orleans to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday. We were greeted very quickly by the friendly hostess, who verified our reservation and had us seated quickly and made sure a drink order was taken right away.
There were many tempting items on the menu that sounded terrific. I had the Chicken and Andouille Gumbo, the Louisiana Wagyu Strip (with some grilled Shrimp to make it Surf and Turf) and a side of loaded grilled Asparagus. My wife had a Caesar salad and the pan fried crab cake. We shared multiple desserts after the meal.
Our server was a lovely young lady named Jasmine. She was professional, friendly and prompt. She mad sure everything was to our liking and we needed nothing. We will definitely ask for her by name on our next visit.
The experience was outstanding. The service was superb, the steak was so very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The Gumbo and Asparagus - delicious. My wife was equally please with her salad and crab cake - which she said was one of the best she has had.
Kudos to the Chef and his team for preparing a delicious meal and a big thank you to Jasmine for taking such good care of us.
