Huge disappointment. There are so many other much nicer pubs around that area. I would have given them 3 stars for the food if the service and other important things were up to standard. Very noisy, very expensive and extremely rude. I will not be going back.

The food was lovely and service friendly. Good selection of cask ale, important for my husband, and good wine list, important for me. A great find in our local neighborhood, just wish we'd found it sooner. We will definitely be back especially over winter as very cosy.

A bit noisy with lots of families but generally relaxed, friendly pub. Food was good (although a bit cold, I had the bouillabaisse) and the ice-cream described as “home-made” was definitely not! Overall fine but could be better.

Been here many times for delicious sunday lunch but saturday evening was a let down. Service seemed inexperienced, scallops were microscopic (£11 starter) and the execution of the swordfish main just wasn't at the standard it should be. For balance both poultry dishes were very tasty.

I won't return as a medium size glass of Rose was £12. Ridiculous. The food was nice and the staff were nice but service was hopeless at our table. We had to ask for our order to be taken for food, we had to ask for water. Twice the waitress got one of the drinks wrong. As I say everyone was very nice but we won't be back.

Sands end has been our local for many years. Since it changed hands it went downhill massively. Portions are smaller ( one scallop! Cut in 4... as a starter - come on) The amazing aspen fries taken off the menu along with some of the key dishes Such a shame

I ordered the steak medium rare and it came out very rare. I sent it back and asked if I could get it more done and it came back the same if not rarer! It was a real shame as The Sands End is my local and the food is usually excellent.
