Could not faulty the service and quality of food and drinks. Brilliant night had by all. Will return as soon as possible.

Bad service. Waited for almost 2hrs to get our food. Got complementary 2 drinks and 1 appetizer as a compensation. But didn't compensate for the long wait. There were other people complaining for the wait. Food is ok. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Family Sunday lunch for three. Enjoyable, relaxed place. Good range of local beers. Food very good and reasonably priced. Outside seating available. Car parking immediately adjacent to the restaurant.

We stayed for 5 minutes. We were given a cold welcome. It didn't smell very nice. Then no one came to even ask for a drinks order. We left and no one even asked why!

Unfortunately the ravioli I had was far too thick and undercooked, with dry salmon inside, in a "lobster bisque" that didn't taste of seafood. Perhaps I chose the wrong dish, though others weren't too happy either. There was also a customer's dog being fed from the kitchen. Not great (though must say other friends have eaten here and been happy).

I chose The Rookery to meet up with a friend for a chat and some good food. We were not disappointed. It was a cold Tuesday evening and a table next to the fire was a plus. At 7pm it wasn't busy but it wasn't empty either. The service was informal, friendly and helpful. We skipped starters and went for the guinea fowl pie for two to share. It looked good and it was fabulous. Puddings and coffees were fine. The carafe of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo was delicious. The ambiance is great with locals drinking at the bar and a low light level with lots of wood around. We'll be going there again for sure.

We ate as a family with three children in the party. we were sat upstairs which was cramped and very noisy. the food was "ok" and the service wasn't the best.
