5 of enjoyed the food and one person had allergies and the staff accommodated her with caring attitude. Thank you
The restaurant design is lovely, with a modern industrial vibe, and the spacing of the tables and the booths is outstanding. Our dinner started with Shrimp Cocktail and Maryland Crab Cakes. To our astonishment there were TEN large, deliciously spiced shrimp with the order, and the crab cakes were superb, served with a Granny Smith Apple and Celery Root slaw and a tasty remoulade. Our main courses were the Veal Chop Milanese and the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Here's where the meal went off the rails a little bit. In our opinion, the oil used to cook in was too hot, the food was cooked too long, and possibly the oil should have been changed - the food had that hard, dark fried crust, on what would have otherwise been awesome dishes. We enjoyed the meal, regardless, so much so that since we were staying at the hotel we ate there again the following night. The Creamed Wild Mushroom Soup was delicious, and the Shrimp and Grits well prepared. (We're used to a little more heat in the spices for Shrimp and Grits, but it was still pretty tasty!)
The Potato Gnocchi were a little heavy, but the arugula salad and the bolognese sauce were both quite good. We enjoyed both our evenings there, and will try to plan our future trips to the casino around the restaurant's schedule - they're closed on Monday and Tuesday.
We were there late morning on Sunday so not very crowded. Excellent service, great food, beautiful surroundings.
Everyone very friendly and attentive. Our friendly waitress answered all our questions ,made suggestions, and was available to us through out our meal. And all that excellent attention came with a smile.
By the way our meal was outstanding. A quote from Arnold's movie the terminator, ( We'll be back)
Great food, great service, awesome staff. Can’t wait to return!
Everything was great!
This was are third visit and much better than the first two visits, the food was hot and good.
For being in Tampa it just amazes me that they don't have any Spanish dishes on the menus.
A good Cuban instead of a grilled chicken sandwich and some good soup other than mushroom.
Something that makes them unique is missing that makes it a 4 instead of a 5.
Celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. There chicken and waffles were amazing. My husband always gets the crab cakes and crab claws. Can’t wait to go again next week
Service was slow, had to ask a few time for more salad dressing and my wife order came out wrong, not even the dish she ordered so everybody in the group was eating without her.
was overall disappointment.
We have had dinner here many times and were always very happy. We decided to try the Sunday brunch and were very disappointed. The service was horrible the food was barely adequate and there was no atmosphere at all. We were disappointed to discover that they had no non-dairy products for our coffee, The hamburger was terrible and the Bavette steak was very tough. The tea had been steeped way too long and was bitter and The coffee was very strong especially when you need to drink it black since there is no non-dairy creamer . We will not return for the Sunday brunch however we have always enjoyed the dinner and will return again and again .
I was there for brunch.. It's little restaurant, next to the casino smoking area with no division in between mean no wall or windows on that side of the restaurant so basically make the place an smoking one. Bar in the middle make the place very noisy, and food not as good for the price, it's worthless...
Best meal and service ever at the Hard Rock!! Glad we finally tried it, very relaxing.
Our waitress Ashley made it an extra special experience. We usually dine at Council Oak which wasn't available. Glad we made the reservation.
Overwhelmed, Look out Council Oaks. Love them both. So GOOD! Thanks
Service was great, menu appealing. Main dishes are beautifully presented, the salads are large and delicious. We say, whatever you eat, order the espresso creme brulee for dessert. It was spectacular! It is a bit noisy, but then, this restaurant is inside a casino!
I had an invitation to come try out the new menu. This would easily be 5 stars for me. Ambiance was good. My waiter(service team) was fantastic! Food came out fast and cocktails were very good. However, this is not 5 stars because the "HOST" (aka people who greet you as you check in for your reservations were very rude! NOT the first time, so I decided to write a review) If I haven't been here before, I would have not even waited to get seated. They didn't check me in and told me to come back/wait for my reservation time because early check in is NOT ALLOWED. ( I was only 15 mins earlier than my reservation time). I am waiting by the hostess stand, two "old couples" came and mentioned they had the same reservation time as me, was seated within 5 minutes of speaking with the host. At this point I was curious on why. When I went up a second time which is now 5 mins before my reservation time. She gave me a poor excuse that because they are waiting to seat me in a booth. (which I didn't request for). They acknowledged I was there and said I have to wait to be seated. Which is now 15 mins after my reservation time and irritated. They apologize for the wait and seated me. They also didn't properly, add my comps. These girls need a lesson/training on how to treat customers.
Very noisy and the food style does not fit my style.
Everything was great except that we had to go the the players club to have our comp added to the card even though the email clearly said just to show it.
Service was great and the manager Larenzo as always made sure the experience was as enjoyable as possible.
Have eaten and Rez many times before and food has always been great. However, this time food and service was lacking a bit. My Caesar salad which I always order was wilted and sloppily made. The king krab appetizer that is always delicious was cold. The salmon special which I ordered was described all wrong from the waitress. Came with broccollini instead of basmati rice. I think waitress was new and maybe that was the majority of the problem. No excuse though for a wilted Caesar salad.
The food was amazing as always! Managers are top notch and we absolutely love this restaurant.
We were celebrating our anniversary and the Rez was a great choice. The food was amazing! We shared the shrimp cocktail - 10 big shrimp, we each had a steak and we shared the brussel sprouts. Everything was prepared perfectly, beautifully presented and delicious. The restaurant is very clean and you can see the kitchen. It wasn't noisy and the waiter was very attentive. I did enjoy a manhattan that was perfect! I highly recommend this restaurant and plan on returning.
Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow.
Food could have been warmer my waffles where cold not like times before
Food was tasty but, not 4 star level. My husbands steak was tough - he quite frankly does a better job grilling steak on his green egg. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles - the large portion. I was told that it was the whole chicken. More than enough for sharing however, it could not have been the whole chicken. Out of the ten pieces of chicken, only 2 were white meat and one of those was a wing. My sister's yellow tail snapper was beautifully prepared and perfect. The Asian slaw it was served with however was dry . She added the sauce provided with the meal and that made it too spicy to eat. My chopped salad was good, very generous portion. However, I do prefer the pear salad served in The Rise cafe over the salad your restaurant serves. The noise level was higher than expected and wondered at the wisdom of building the restaurant with one side open to the casino and slot machines. The waiters/waitresses were very attentive. Overall, pleasant but, not excellent, dining experience. Would probably eat there again if in the casino but, would not go out of my way if a trip to the casino was not planned.
The food was excellent. The managers did not come to our table to ask if the food and the service was ok. one was bald head and had on a wrinkle suit, the other was younger with dark hair and a wrinkle suit. mabe we were to old for them.
Overall, the REZ was a little disappointing in regards to service and food quality and food value for the prices charged. Although our wait staff person was very friendly and mostly knowledgeable and timely with our bill, we observed other wait staff/service that was lacking (e.g. bill miscalculated, long wait to receive final bill, and poor food quality). Our lobster thermidor was good, flavorful, a little overcooked; the steak tartare was very good. However, $14.00 for 4 oysters was ridiculous. Also, having the restaurant situated with an opening into the smoking section of the casino was not pleasant.
Hostess staff needs a bit more training.
One bartender slightly rude.
Overall a good experience.
Did not like the fact that a service dog was allowed in the restaurant when it was very obvious the dog was not there to aid anyone at all. Not the restaurants problem, but it did take away from a dining experience.
We went out for a date night on Saturday and the experience was terrible. The only good part was our waiter who was as attentive as he could have been. My steak tasted like it was soaked in a beef broth, my wife’s grouper was basically salt with some fish and the Cesar salad was a grilled Romain leaf with cheese, plus, it was warm which wasn’t described on the menu. I hate today this, but we had better food at a buffet compared to this place.
Myself, my wife and oldest son were there to celebrate our 14 anniversary looking forward to a good meal. What a let down. My wife and I were talking about lobster thermadore for two weeks. What a laugh---it gave me a headache-----eye strain trying to find the lobster!! It was luke warm when it got to the table. My mashed potatoes were also warm--as well tasting box mixed and runny. The spice cake for dessert was terrible---the cake was so dry you could hardly swallow it with washing it down. My sons pork sandwich was loaded with horseradish to the point where he could hardly eat it. Shouldn't horseradish be on the side so a person can use it as they like and what the cook likes? Service was too slow---all was luke warm when served. ALL was overpriced!!!!!
The food has been good and consistent. It is convenient if you’re at the casino. The staff and the service have always been excellent
We were seated next to the bar, not the best choice. TV's were a bit distracting.
Steak was overcooked for my husband and so was mine.
Excellent food and great service , a bit pricey to go all the time which is a shame because it was so good
I dreamt about my he fried chicken and waffles. So good, but don’t get the waffle connection.
ST at this he bar and service was excellent and fun!
Food was very good. Chicken and waffles was delicious!!!
Great restaurant for gathering with friends and for any occasion, special or just a nice dinner. Great wine selection and choices of appetizers and main courses. With five of us dining we all had a nice dining experience. Will be back.
The Rez made me love brussel sprouts. Absolutely delicious! I had a filet, although expressive, it was wonderful. I don't say that about very many attacks. Kenny was great as usual.
The food was ok. Nothing spectacular. We had the chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits. The service was terrible Shae seemed like he had too many tables. We waited long periods of time after each visit to our table.
I frequent this restaurant quite a bit. I had a birthday dinner for someone their recently and the staff was wonderful and the food was great!!!
