Service is beyond 5 stars! Daniel our waiter was patient and friendly while communicating about the various menu choices. The chef knows food and flavors- price fix menu did NOT disappoint on any level. The ribs, risotto, NY strip, scallops were all spot on for heaven in our mouths! Specially surprising was how accommodating and knowledgeable the chef and waiter were for my need for gluten free (celiac) - when they brought out amazing gluten free dinner rolls and flourless chocolate cake, I was over the moon! I’d go back in a heartbeat without hesitation!! Best for adults only, can be romantic or just fun for good friends watching amazing sunset water views!
Service was great, explained the menu in detail and made good recommendations. All the food was excellent, good ingredients and well prepared. Lots of local ingredients used. View tops everything off being high up and looking down to the ocean, West Maui and Lanai.
Dinner was delicious and the ambience in the garden rooms is amazing and beautiful.
Beautiful restaurant in a lovely location. We were able to watch the sunset as we enjoyed our dinner. Totally worth the 45 minute ride from Ka’anapali Beach. Chef’s offerings were to die for! This was a great place to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
The Restaurant at the Hotel Wailea is a complete dining experience. The service, from first greeting to final aloha, is perfect: friendly, knowledgeable (or willing to find the answer) and there when you need them but never interrupting. The setting is beautiful although it was noisier than usual due to an event in the ballroom. The food was delicious but I miss some of the dishes from the previous menu. Prix fix is a great concept and I’m sure works well from the kitchen standpoint but I prefer the a la carte menu - I especially missed the little “bites” they offered. Still, it’s a great venue and a wonderful experience and we will dine again.
We had a wonderful dining experience at the restaurant in Hotel Wailea. The 3 course meal was tasty and inspired. Our server Ian was well versed in the dishes and was able to make really good recommendations. He seemed to have done his homework about his guests as well. He’s as aware we were celebrating our 6th anniversary and started us off with celebratory champagne. All the courses were excellent and we completed every morsel laid in front of us. Our drinks, especially my virgin lilikoi Moscow mule was probably the best mocktail I have had in a long long time ( it was Ian’s suggestion and he hit the nail on the wall with that one!).I must say, the mushroom risotto and the kampacha with clams dish were stand outs along with the coconut chiffon cake which was also really really good, had a nice melt in your mouth quality.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our evening at the restaurant. The beautiful sunset was just the icing on the cake! We will definitely be coming back again.
Hard to assess “value” when dinner for two ran over $300.
Quality of food and service in a phenomenal setting was top notch.
Fantastic evening with great service delicious entrees and awesome wine
Change in chef. Food is not as good as the last time we went
got there as the sun was setting and Venus began to shine brightly service and food were upscale and excellent. I had a beet salad followed by a shared ahi dish and maui maui as main course. all were wonderful.
we hope to stay at the hotel next visit to Wailea
Used to be our absolute favorite restaurant, so disappointed this time. All our favorite items no longer on the menu, now an overpriced prix fix 3 course dinner. New chef I believe and just nowhere close to the food and/or service they used to have. We have a second reservation there later this trip plus a reservation for when we return in Dec and, sadly, I will be canceling both.
Worth every penny
Terrific meal. Wonderful atmosphere. Food was creative and delicious. Staff extremely professional but not stuffy. Meal was expensive but worth it.
Fabulous defines the dining experience . I would go every other night if they had openings! Ask for Ben’s tables
Our favorite restaurant on Maui. The food is creative and very tasty. Portions are perfect. Service excellent and always accommodating to special dietary allergies, and the ambiance is beautiful and classy. Consistently perfect.
We are here on night 1 of our honeymoon and they knocked it out of the park! Staff was amazing, the food was 5 stars, and the sunset view was magical
Great food, nice view, good service. Great for couples. Do not take your children there. Treat yourself to an date night. Best for adults. Go at least an hour early have a hang out in the open air lounge before dinner. Great atmosphere and music.
Wonderful experience and delicious food!
Very charming with excellent food and service. Does not have the the corporate hotel feel that we like.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing views overlooking beautiful garden. Greeted with a complimentary champagne toast for our anniversary and our meal was excellent! Definitely will return!
Incredible view. Incredible food.
Best experience! Amazing view, food, and service. Perfect spot for our honeymoon. Highly recommend. It’s a 3 course meal. My husband and I enjoyed the mushroom risotto and pork belly to start. We then got the strip steak and fish. Go for the rice pudding to end the meal.
The service was excellent and the food was even better! Had great wine and champagne choices. We happen to also be staying here, but I would encourage anyone who wants exceptional food to make a reservation ASAP.
Amazing time at Hotel Wailea. Ambiance, service and food were all incredible. We shared plates and also added a 4th course for another appetizer because we couldn’t decide which ones to get, and all were worth it! Best ambiance of all the dinners we had during our time, felt like you were tucked in the jungle in a magical oasis. Service was also first class, Ben was an amazing waiter. We can’t wait to come back again.
Although we had to wait 40 minutes with a reservation the table, dinner tablr serice, etc. was superb
This restaurant is a 10+++. The setting is lovely and the food divine. Pre fix menu had many choices and we all had different things to try and share. Service was respectful and excellent.
This is a special place and you should go when in Maui.
Ono was over cooked. Wedge was over dressed.
This was our second time here. The service is amazing, the ambiance is the best ,but the food quality has gone downhill. The Ono was dry and and chewy. My wife got the pasta and stuck together. When your dinner cost over $400, the food should be perfect. I also recommend they add more vegetarian options.
Ben was an amazing server and the food was delicious.
Amazing service and food. Our server was very attentive, personable and professional. We were not rushed Which was very much appreciated. The assistance to the servers were very professional as well. It was quite clear that they were well trained but also maintained a very personable approach.
Food was amazing. The coconut cake is the best we have ever had. We highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and the service
What a wonderful Mother’s Day dinner Beas so delicious going back again!
The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea was a special experience! Our server Seth was brand new to the Restaurant but well versed in the menu. The food was amazing! The views at sunset were an added bonus to a romantic evening. Highly recommend.
We were very happy with our experience. We celebrated our 26th anniversary. We live in Maui and have never tried it. Great experience, would definitely go back.
Love the place. Both service and food are outstanding.
The “focaccia” bread was in 3 different courses. Food was not as innovative as it should have been. Strawberries on burratta? Weird combos. Don’t recommend this restaurant. Chef seems to take shortcuts.
The food was delicious and the service impeccable. I waited Ben was very attentive and did a great job describing the amazing dishes. By far the best restaurant in Wailea.
Amazing Dinner!!!! The best meal we have had on Maui!!!
I was looking forward to this meal because a bunch of people recommended. We are staying at the hotel so figured it would be a great last night meal. They seated us in a horrible location above the bar with a huge pole blocking my view. There were only 6 cocktails on the menu and when I asked for a bourbon drink of the bartenders choice he brought me something that just tasted like pineapple and ginger beer. The food was lack luster for the price. We almost left when they sat us and we saw the menu but we didn’t. Regretting that decision for the cost.
Wonderful evening watching the sunset over the ocean while eating one of the best 3 course meals we've ever had!
Wonderful as always, great food and wine. Perfect place for a birthday dinner
