Amazing location, view and exceptional food. Servers were fantastic and friendly.
Gorgeous property. Breathtaking views. Perfect date night ambience. Food and service was excellent.
We live on Maui and only recently learned about this restaurant. What an absolute treasure! We were celebrating our 44th Anniversary and we are so glad we chose this place. We will definitely be going back for a special occasion. I had the Kanpachi & clams and my husband had the Lamb Chops and added crab. Both were excellent. I highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone who values fine dining.
This is simply one of the best restaurants I have ever been to - the food is exquisite and the setting could not be more beautiful. Stay at the hotel as well to experience it fully.
We had the most beautiful dinner at the garden. Everything was superb and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a special evening in Maui. Daniel was an amazing waiter!
We had an eye on reservations since we booked our trip months ago, and happened to get in when someone cancelled. Everything was amazing, food and service especially. Great wine menu. We do wish we would have been able to go at sunset (the view is stunning), but obviously there was no availability.
One of the most stunning restaurants we’ve ever been to. Don’t miss this when in Maui. The pork rib appetiser what especially outstanding. The wine list is incredible as well.
The dinner experience was truly phenomenal. Excellent food, wonderful service and a view that has few comparables. It all made for a very memorable anniversary celebratory dinner.
I felt that some of the dishes were a little too complex with 1 element that didn’t need to be included and brought down the quality of the dish. For example, the sweet potato flakes on the mushroom risotto and the unpleasantly crunchy garnish in the pappardelle. Overall, still 5 stars though.
2nd wedding anniversary dinner was amazing!
Overpriced, uninspired resort food. Every meal we had outside of the resorts was excellent, so I’d skip it and find someplace else.
We stayed at the hotel and LOVED the hotel but the restaurant was a bit lacking. Food was pretty good but not up to expectations or pricing. Service — especially the hostess — was meh to so-so. Just felt a bit disappointing given what the expectation was
The setting is absolutely beautiful and the menu is a great value, especially for Wailea. We enjoyed each dish - poke, ribs, fish curry, and crab pappardelle (which was the best of all!). The service was good. Despite being an adults-only resort (unless it has changed?), we were seated near a large group of children and parents - it was a birthday party with lots of yelling and singing, etc. I’m sure they were having a nice time but it did take away from what we thought would be a quiet, romantic dinner. Once they left, just before our dessert course, we got the peaceful atmosphere we had hoped for and rounded out a very nice evening.
Delicious food, incredible setting, and wonderful service! We were blown away!
If Google maps is telling you The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea is opposite the Fairmont, it is not. It is about another mile straight up the hill. The error caused us to be 15mins late and hot and flustered when we finally got to the restaurant. The wait staff quickly put us at our ease and showed us to a great table overlooking the magnificent grounds at Hotel Wailea. The menu was prix fixe, but a wonderful selection complemented by a wonderful selection of wines. The food was amazing. We went to some awesome restaurants during our time in Maui, but this was our favourite. Special call out to Ian our server who was attentive, charming and helpful during our visit. I'd whole heartedly recommend this restaurant to any visitor to Wailea.
Wonderful dining experience! The setting is lovely and the menu (prix fixe only) is creative and fresh.
Service was attentive if a bit rushed.
This is a great choice for a special occasion.
Fantastic meal!!! We loved everything we ate, and our server Benny was the best! Don’t miss the gnocchi or the jasmine rice pudding for dessert!
Fantastic views and food. Great anniversary dinner with sunset!
Beautiful atmosphere but overpriced for the quality of the food. We ate at many other places that were better quality for lower cost. Service & views were wonderful & Bird Cage cocktail bar is worth checking out!
The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious!
This visit was the best one ever to Hotel Wailea for dinner! Every single bite of each course was absolutely fabulous and tasty! Our server was excellent, accommodating and congenial. At first we were worried as our dinner here back in Feb wasn’t all that great; but the chef/staff definitely up’d their game - it’s been our number one dinner in Maui to date after two weeks!! Can’t wait to return again in Nov. We highly recommend both the ribeye steak and King crab pasta, not to mention the amazing risotto!!
The restaurant is much improved from the last time I ate here (several years ago.) In particular, the vegetarian options are improved-- I enjoyed my grilled tofu (If applicable to you, be sure to ask for vegetarian options for the main course.) I was very pleased with the unique flavors in the dishes, and the classic drink I had was outstanding. Great presentation and very friendly service.
Food selection was amazing! Each plate was so unique and delicious. Definitely one of the best meals in our trip to Maui!
We were very disappointed by this meal. We were so excited to come here and made our reservation months in the advance. The food was nothing spectacular. The ambiance is obviously very lovely. Our server couldn’t have been nicer but really not worth the price tag for what it was. We won’t be back.
One of best restaurants my wife and I have ever been to. The food was incredible and our server Seth was awesome! The view of the sunset was absolutely beautiful! Would highly recommend The Restaurant at Wailea if you are looking for a romantic place for dinner. Try to book a table on the rail.
Love the dedication to local ingredients with just enough seasoning to let them shine through. The night we visited we had a NY Strip steak from Maui with purple sweet potatoes from Molokai. The dining atmosphere is very different whether below is the lantern-lit garden or above on the veranda overlooking the ocean. Both good experiences with the garden more private but a better view on the veranda.
Really a disappoint overall. Seevice was very nice and in many ways excellent, but we had to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation time and wait forever for our dessert. Food was just okay and certainly not the caliber we would expect at this price point.
Excellent food and service. Amazing view too!
Special existence that doesn’t exist elsewhere on Maui
This was by far our favorite dining experience in Wailea! We were so surprised by this gem of a hotel and restaurant. Amazing food, romantic ambiance and great service!!
Service is beyond 5 stars! Daniel our waiter was patient and friendly while communicating about the various menu choices. The chef knows food and flavors- price fix menu did NOT disappoint on any level. The ribs, risotto, NY strip, scallops were all spot on for heaven in our mouths! Specially surprising was how accommodating and knowledgeable the chef and waiter were for my need for gluten free (celiac) - when they brought out amazing gluten free dinner rolls and flourless chocolate cake, I was over the moon! I’d go back in a heartbeat without hesitation!! Best for adults only, can be romantic or just fun for good friends watching amazing sunset water views!
Service was great, explained the menu in detail and made good recommendations. All the food was excellent, good ingredients and well prepared. Lots of local ingredients used. View tops everything off being high up and looking down to the ocean, West Maui and Lanai.
We had an awesome dinner experience ... Absolutely delicious food with an amazing view of the sunset ... Very much recommended.
Dinner was delicious and the ambience in the garden rooms is amazing and beautiful.
Beautiful restaurant in a lovely location. We were able to watch the sunset as we enjoyed our dinner. Totally worth the 45 minute ride from Ka’anapali Beach. Chef’s offerings were to die for! This was a great place to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
The Restaurant at the Hotel Wailea is a complete dining experience. The service, from first greeting to final aloha, is perfect: friendly, knowledgeable (or willing to find the answer) and there when you need them but never interrupting. The setting is beautiful although it was noisier than usual due to an event in the ballroom. The food was delicious but I miss some of the dishes from the previous menu. Prix fix is a great concept and I’m sure works well from the kitchen standpoint but I prefer the a la carte menu - I especially missed the little “bites” they offered. Still, it’s a great venue and a wonderful experience and we will dine again.
We had a wonderful dining experience at the restaurant in Hotel Wailea. The 3 course meal was tasty and inspired. Our server Ian was well versed in the dishes and was able to make really good recommendations. He seemed to have done his homework about his guests as well. He’s as aware we were celebrating our 6th anniversary and started us off with celebratory champagne. All the courses were excellent and we completed every morsel laid in front of us. Our drinks, especially my virgin lilikoi Moscow mule was probably the best mocktail I have had in a long long time ( it was Ian’s suggestion and he hit the nail on the wall with that one!).I must say, the mushroom risotto and the kampacha with clams dish were stand outs along with the coconut chiffon cake which was also really really good, had a nice melt in your mouth quality.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our evening at the restaurant. The beautiful sunset was just the icing on the cake! We will definitely be coming back again.
Hard to assess “value” when dinner for two ran over $300.
Quality of food and service in a phenomenal setting was top notch.
Fantastic evening with great service delicious entrees and awesome wine
Change in chef. Food is not as good as the last time we went
