We chose The Restaurant as our Valentine Day's dinner place with children. The ambience of this secluded oasis was stunning, especially as we arrived by dawn here at the Hotel Wailea. Excellent food, appropriate selection of drinks and awesome desserts. We had a Dark chocolate lava to share.
What an amazing place! Beautiful setting and friendly staff. The food was even better than anticipated! I would highly recommend this restaurant as an excellent place to celebrate a special occasion. I will definitely be returning!
The service staff was amazing.
We had an extraordinary dining experience. Each and every bite was prepared and served to perfection. We enjoyed an array of cocktails, appetizers, entrees and deserts and everything was wonderful. The location, view and impeccable service didn’t go unnoticed but the food was star of the evening. Truly outstanding.
Fantastic experience all round. One of the more intimate luxury dining experiences around. Great service. Exceptional food. Bring a light jacket in winter, it’s breezy. Sunsets are beautiful from here.
This is one of the best restaurants in Maui. It can be comparable to Mama's fish house.
But the aspect is different. If you are hungry, it might not satisfy your stomach. We, two adults, ordered two appetizers and two entrees and their volume is smaller than the one appetizer and two entrees in Mama. But the taste is fantastic. The environment is cozy and comfort and I felt it is better than Mama.
If you want to go to the best restaurant in Maui, it should be not skipped.
I would recommend this place only on a non windy night and a beautiful sunset night otherwise not sure It’s worth it .
They got alittle irritated when we wanted to move
There is no Protection from wind - paying high prices and nice ambiance you dont want to be freezing .
Brought friends this time and they thought the severs were a little snooty .
Excellent in all ways !! Server Ian was very gracious and helpful from wine selections allowing a tasting before selection to full explanations of menu options. We have been here 5 times throughout 6 years of our visits and this is always our top spot !
Outstanding service and food to the smallest detail. (Minor exception was that they did not follow request to remove crumbs from dessert pursuant to gluten free request) View and ambience were stunning.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Our waiter set the wine bucket out of reach and wasn't interested in refilling our glasses. In fact, he really wasn't very interested in us.
Great setting and good food. Smaller portions of this level cuisine are to be expected. Very expensive but in line with Wailea restaurants. Excellent service. A special or discount for locals should be considered but I don't think they need our business.

Superb! Great view of Sunset
Our waiter (Benjamin) was the best. He recognized us from our last visit. He always has the best recommendation for food and wine!!!
The food was delicious and fresh, the atmosphere was beautiful- we would definitely go back for a special occasion, expensive
This was the third time I have had the pleasure to dine at the Restaurant at the Wailea hotel. The good is absultely fantastic. There isn’t s better sunset view on the island. The staff is very professional and friendly. So many great dishes here but the duck breat and lobster are outstanding. This is a special place.
Absolutely outstanding!! The food was terrific and the service ( Chris) was the best we’ve had in years. Every course was delicious—and of course the view is stunning.
This place is the whole package. Spectacular location, amazing ambience, ocean view. Then the food and service to match. Overall, the best place in the area, a must.
I went to 6 restaurants in Maui and this one was the only one where I had bad experience. Food didn’t taste well, cocktails didn’t taste well, it was cold and waiter did not know how to turn on the heater. Although I made reservation in advance I was seated on the lower lever (worse spot than higher level) and we were the only one in that area, so waiter would stop by once in a awhile. I asked for check and left as soon as possible without finishing any dishes or cocktails.
The food and service were really exceptional.
Fabulous dinner with extraordinary views. Small and intimate although you are outside. Breakfast there lovely as well if you are a guest as we were. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
Ben our waiter was fantastic! We have been here several times when it was Capische. Menu selection was tough. Ben did amazing job navigating through the entrees and course ideas. Fish of the day was GREAT. Scallops were perfectly seared and texture was fantastic, however the fishy taste and grit was a bit disappointing. Starters were some of the best Oysters I have had. We prefer East coast, I’m not sure what these were but AMAZING. Shrimp app in the noodle shell, I would come back for both of those.
Amazing! From the food to the aesthetics to the service. Just a wonderful time. My fiancée & I celebrated our engagement here with our two best friends & everything was absolutely perfect!
Fabulous creative and flavorful dishes, attentive excellent staff and wonderful setting. A+
The food at the Wailea Hotel is incredibly delicious.
The chef uses great ingredients and flavors them perfectly and imaginatively.
His Lemon grass flavored Onaga is one of the better fish dishes that I have ever had.
Macadamia crusted lamb shank and the lobster entree were also excellent.
Best meal we had on Maui!
Beautiful setting and property. The service was very nice and the food even better.
Thank you for making out special night even more special.
Probably not up to the standard of Capiche, no valet there to park car when we got there like Capiche. Not sure gated entry is wise if you dont know before it is there. Most of the Relais we have been to are better . We will go back but they should improve
Nice family dinner. Good food. Great desserts.
The restaurant has been through some cycles and seems to be in a downswing currently. Food quality is quite average. The foie gras was uninspiring. The fish special was slightly overdone and the broth very salty. The most disappointing is the drop in service. Servers used to be very attentive. There seems to be a deliberate attempt to make things more informal. I had to wait a while to get my server’s attention for a glass of wine. The restaurant has been through these down cycles before - hopefully they get back to the top.
Delicious food and a great service in a lovely ambience.
The view of this location cannot get better! All of the staff is friendly and attentive, and I felt they cared about making our dinner a great experience. I had the daily fresh fish special for my meal, and it was delicious. The bartender did a great job with our cocktails. The musician in the front was welcoming and played beautifully. My only negative comment was that the background music was an odd choice and felt disconnected from the overall ambience.
Absolutely perfect. And Chris' service was impeccable.
It is pretty overpriced for what you get. Let me say, I am not afraid to lay down some serious cash for an outstanding meal but everything I ate here was slightly under flavored, oddly flavored, or the flavors were unbalanced. For example there was a Thai inspired sauce on our fish which was too sweet, in a Thai sauce you need this umami balance and the salt was lacking. When you pay this much money for a meal everything should be pretty perfect and incredible. After eating here and at many other resorts I am weary of resort food. I do always realize that food is very subjective so if you have a lot of money to spend you should try it but if you don't I would definitely recommend dining at the Mill House over this restaurant. Pricing there is more fair and the flavors are much better in my opinion. Also I will say a lot of food truck food and small cheap restaurants in the area do produce 'yummier' food so if you are really wanting to dine out somewhere fancy maybe consider not doing it?
Gorgeous Hawaiian ambiance with r
Fabulous restaurant experience! I highly recommend enjoying an amazing dinner here!
Excellent restaurant: sophisticated cuisine, warm and professional service (Kristy), magnificent architecture and gardens.
