We came here to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. From the start the staff was welcoming. The whiskey collection was outstanding with plenty of rare offerings. Both the steak and pork chop were fantastic and cooked to perfection. The seasonal vegetables were seductive. The creme rule and armangnac were unforgettable. The ambiance was just what we were looking for in that contemporary steak house that paid balanced homage to the traditional. Looking forward to our next special occasion.

This was our first time there and it did not disappoint. The staff were so friendly and professional. The food was delicious and the whole ambience was pleasurable. We definitely go back.

It was my 2nd time dining at The Ranch and the food was better than I remembered the first time being. We started with the heirloom tomato salad which was really good and a nice way to kickoff our dinner. The tomatoes were really fresh and farm grown locally in nearby Orange. For our main we shared the seabass and 14oz NY strip with truffle butter. The seabass was fresh, had a nice sear and buttery flavor. Probably some of the best I’ve had. The NY strip had a nice crust to it and was cooked as desired (med/rare) with lots of good flavor to it. OK, now for the down side…the price points were HIGH! ~$65 for the seabass and $89 for the NY Strip. Add an additional $25 for the truffle butter and the steak was $115 before tax and tip. We had also requested our steak to be pre sliced but when it was brought out it wasn’t. So I asked again to have it sliced bc we were sharing and it came back from the kitchen sliced in 4 large chunks. I wasn’t understanding what the kitchen and server didn’t understand about our request. It actually countered what we were trying to accomplish but ohh well, we got through it. For dessert we ordered the Heath Bar Crunch and I would say it was just OK and probably would choose a different option if we want to come back. We capped our night with expresso and a cappuccino and they were both pretty yummy and a good way to cap off the evening. Last thing…the itemized bill total after tax was different than the CC receipt they asked me to sign and I couldn’t figure it out. I called back later and was told that our server forgot to add the still water bottle onto the itemized bill but then added to the receipt. Weird thing is, yes they poured still water from a bottle into our glass but then took the bottle away instead of leaving it at the table so I wasn’t sure if they were just pouring tap from the bottle or if we were actually getting bottled still water. Just confusing. I would recommend just for the salad and main and skip the dessert.
