At The Post Chicken & Beer, we fry up crispy, juicy, Colorado-style fried chicken (which just happens to be gluten free) and pair it with award-winning craft brews. Our unique recipe is the result of years of research and tinkering by chef and partner Brett 'Smitty' Smith. At this chicken party, we only serve humanely raised, fresh, all-natural chicken that we brine for hours, dip in buttermilk, and dunk in seasoned gluten-free flour. Our pressure fryers keep our bird nice and juicy with a crispy crust, even late at night when you're sneaking leftovers out of the fridge with the door open (we won't tell). We believe that hot chicken and cold beer is one of the best pairings in the universe, which is why our brewers work so hard to create such delicious suds. Our menu also includes farm-fresh sides, salads, sandwiches, tenders, and scratch-made desserts. Since opening in Lafayette in 2014, we've been spreading the chicken & beer love up and down the Front Range.

Ordered two half bird dinners and chicken sandwich. Every piece of chicken was bland. Needed salt and seasoning, had nice crunch but no flavor. The skin was pretty dark brown making us think it sat under the heat lamp for extra time. Service was outstanding but maybe an off day in the kitchen.

Excellence food as always. We were sitting under an air conditioning vent so very chilly. Pack a jacket but come hungry as the chicken and sides are delicious. Hooray for gluten free fried chicken!!

16 pieces of chicken and 4 SMALL sides for $130? The food was ok, but we were stunned when our platter for 8 came out, and the sides would barely serve 4. To refill those sides was $11 each. Incidentally, when viewing pictures after the fact- the dish the sides came in is the same as the dish you get if you order an individual dinner with one side. We walked out of a chicken dinner for the family for $200. Maybe they were extra busy in the kitchen because it is was a holiday, but the chicken had small puddles of grease as the crispy skin broke away from the meat. I know this place is supposed to have a chill vibe, but our server was almost apathetic to our presence as well. Note to everyone, if you are trying to take your family out for a chicken dinner and you are watching your budget, this is not the place for you.

Great choices on the menu, especially for those that are gluten free. We ate Easter Brunch here and started with the donut holes. AMAZING! I could have made a meal out of those! Everyone ordered different items and all 8 of us were impressed with our meal. Thank you for the variety and quality of your menu.

The food is always excellent. Three of us (one kid) devoured a family love chicken dinner with slaw and mashed potatoes. The biscuits are amazing. There are many great beers and they will bring you a taster so you can decide. It can be too loud sometimes since every surface is reflective.

After seating ourselves at the bar service was great. We had a reservation and were initially seated at a table for four. A high top was open but although we asked to be seated there were told it was “reserved”. That table was still unoccupied as we left the restaurant. Not a tragedy but a mystery.

Every part of the meal was good, but nothing was amazing. Sides of Cole slaw and Mac and cheese were very good as were the deviled eggs. The chicken, for which the Post is known, was crispy but overcooked to my taste. Maybe just me, but this place has had rave reviews and I found it’s star meal to be a bit underwhelming. Service was very friendly and attentive. It’s become so expensive to eat out now, that in order to repeat, I need to be wowed. Not rushing back.
