   The food is great and is the star of the show. For me, the place verges on pretentious as far as the hipster vibe is concerned. You just want a bit more attention to detail. Our server was lovely, but knowledge of the menu could be better for a meal of this calibre. You want to feel a bit better taken care of when you spend quite a lot on a special meal. I find the concept of small plates slightly frustrating, as sometimes you want a full meal to yourself; but they do what they do very well - and the flavours across the board were great.

   Went here for my birthday dinner last night. The waitress we had was lovely and attentive. The food was really good our personal favourite was the dover sole! Everyone talks about the burger which was nice but definitely try other things on the menu as well. The seating is mostly stools which isn’t the most comfortable but they do inform you of that when you are booking but just keep that in mind. The vibes inside are quite lively but in a good way.

   Have been meaning to come here for many months so the expectations were high but it certainly didn’t disappoint and more than impressed! The dexter cheeseburger is the one and had to be tried. We treated ourselves to the scallops too which disappeared instantly and the fried potatoes were a perfect accompaniment to the famous burger. The staff were a delight throughout and the guinness was silky smooth. I can’t recommend this place enough providing you have the fortune of securing a table. I can’t wait to return with more people keen to experience the culinary brilliance of the Plimsoll. Thanks to all involved!
