Food was delicious and the whole experience exceeded our expectations.
WE enjoyed the meal immensely. The problem that we had was that we were uncomfortable due to the temperature in the rest. It was below our comfort level and we were extremely chilled. If I could have eaten with gloves on.....
We dined in the Pine Room for the 3rd time and were not disappointed. Kerry provided excellent service. We chose, again, to order 4 small plates and 2 rounds of specialty beverages. The cauliflower is terrific. This is a convenient, comfortable, casual place to dine. Be prepared, however, to pay more because of the location in the Hotel Roanoke.
Our experience at the Pine Room was phenomenal! We went to celebrate our anniversary and our server, Nigel, was absolutely amazing. He let us do things at our pace while checking on us often to make sure our needs were met. We felt so pampered! We will definitely be going back.
A little on the expensive side. Perfect setting for New Year’s Eve.
New Years Eve. Good food, casual. Good service.
Overall not bad. The server tried hard but seemed to be one of two waitstaff. Business was brisk and they had a lot to keep track of. The food was so so but not as well prepared or presented as previous visits ( even during the pandemic). The temperature of the food was barely tepid. The bar service and timing of the courses was off and seemed longer than customary. My salad and entree came at the same time. We will return but hope for a better experience next time.
The food was very delicious and hot. The portions were a good size and the ambience was pleasant
What a treat!! First time dining here on Christmas Day and the food and service was incredible. I had the smash burger, bring your appetite because this burger was huge! The rib sandwich was outstanding as well. Highly recommend!
Even though I miss the old Pine Room Pub, the new section is very nice. Food was excellent- a different type of menu than from before, but creative and some great offerings. Service was good, but it could have been better.
We dined on Christmas Eve and the atmosphere was very festive. The Hanger Steaks were delicious! The pasta dish was just average. The menu is very limited. Expanding the menu would create a greater appeal.
I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the food was very good. I would suggest this restaurant to friends.
We traveled to Roanoke for a Christmas dinner with family. Started with drinks in the bar… fun! Booked a early table in The Pine room at Hotel Roanoke. The food was terrific. The wait staff very attentive. The hotel was beautifully decorated. Will be back when it is less crowded.
The waiter was very nice but overwelmed and therefore the service was poor. There weren't enough bartenders and getting a drink was torture. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice but service needs work.
The food was absolutely delicious and the wait staff was so sweet! Food came out quick and yummy
The service was amazing! Everyone was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious.
Service was excellent food was OK and the ambiance is not as anywhere as nice as when it was the old pine room. We did not care for the changes made
To noisy. Don't care for the new layout. Bad service at the new bar. Not enough Tvs.
Awesome service though in the Pine Room.
Also not a Christmas destination anymore.
First time at the pine room since the remodel. The burgers were served in an inviting presentation. The catsup for the fries was okay but could have been more flavorful. There was nothing in the way of condiments on the burger leaving it a little dry. The quality of the ingredients seemed good but the end result left a little to be desired. Three burgers and three drinks for 90 bucks would have been okay had these details been addressed. We’ll likely try it again at some point. Overall I think we enjoyed the old pine room dinning experience a little better.
The food is a bit pricey for the area, but it’s wonderful. The restaurant is lovely, and the staff is friendly. The major negative this evening was an a couple who refused to control their small child who was having a complete meltdown. Would have been nice if the waitstaff had stepped in and asked them to remove the child. This place is too pricey for that kind of nonsense.
The food was wonderful and our waiter was awesome!
Food and service were spectacular. The hanger steak and beet salad are must haves.
Nice atmosphere, delicious meal and outstanding service!
We had a wonderful meal! The Chicken Cassoulet was fantastic. My husband had the Smash Burger that he very much enjoyed and my sister had the fig arugula flatbread which she too enjoyed!
We had a table next to the open kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed watching the gentlemen prepare dishes. The guy who was dancing and singing was especially entertaining!
Nigel the waiter was outstanding!
Waited 30 minutes after being seated, never saw a server and left
Great service and the food was yummy, especially the cauliflower appetizer. The mushroom toast was a bit soggy and should be toasted on both sides. The worst part of the evening was the miserable chairs they have at the majority of the tables. Otherwise an overall good experience.
Went for Thanksgiving, was not offered the Thanksgiving special but what I saw on another table, glad I did’t order it. Was mostly bar type food, i ended up ordering the jalapeño burger, the fries were good nice crispy and well seasoned, burger was more bread than burger, very dry. My husband ordered the pork chop dry as well. Expensive dinner for what we got
We had a very enjoyable lunch. Our server was attentive and accommodated our requests. Nice way to celebrate a birthday.
We love the Pine Room. For clarification, we always sit outside, which is quiet, comfortable, and entertaining. There are heaters that feel wonderful. Indoors it is rather noisy, one of the pitfalls of the open kitchen layout. the food is fantastic and the service is great. Everyone is appropriately attentive and very knowledgeable.
we had an excellent server. very attentive and pleasant. However, the food took forever to arrive. When it did the pork chops were over cooked to the extreme, as was the fish. The server adjusted for the pork chop as it was not edible.
Excellent food and terrific staff. The room gets loud pretty quickly and the menu is a little pricey. Artful presentation of dishes makes the portions appear smaller than they turn out to be; we couldn't finish everything we ordered.
I had the roasted carrot falafel. It was excellent.
Food was delicious. Area was homey and immaculate, clean and inviting. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, refills were timely. We will definitely return!!
Good overall experience. Will be back for sure.
We dined in for my husband's birthday. The food was excellent and service was quick. I would recommend!
Food was good. But our server, Maria, made all the difference. She was awesome!!
Hamburger tasteless and cold. Cheese not melted. Spinach salad had very little spinach, two thin slices of canned beets, two very thin slices of I ripe tomato. Topped off with a fist size hunk of too soft mozzarella. Took it to go so couldn’t send it back. Cauliflower appetizer delicious. Would go back for that. Service excellent.
We requested a table outside and they gladly offered one. Overhead heaters warmed the space perfectly! Great service, great location, fun cocktails and pretty amazing menu choices. Felt very cozy and relaxed. Great spot! Highly recommend.
