The Pickled Pig BBQ & Cafe has been serving up award winning BBQ in East Bend, OR since 2015. Our restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the main terminal building at the Bend Municipal Airport. Our spansive windows offer gorgeous views of the airport activity and surrounding environment. Weather permitting, we have patio seating available that overlooks the airport runway and ramp.

Our breakfast and lunch menus are available all day.

So forget about the traffic and parking problems downtown and focus on the food, fun, and entertainment @ The Pig.

I was really excited to try this place, because I've read such great things about it. I made a reservation for my Mom's birthday, but I am not at all clear on why they take reservations ... it's first come, first served and find your own table. Nor do you have a server; you place your order at the counter, they bring your meal, and you get your own drinks. I was disappointed when the man at the counter (said he was the son of the owner) didn't know the difference between the breaded chicken option or the smoked chicken option for the chicken cordon bleu sandwich. I chose the breaded option. It was a very thin (like - REALLY- thin) breaded patty. Certainly didn't taste homemade. It was also served with a splatter of BBQ sauce ... on the chicken cordon bleu ... weirdest thing ever. It didn't taste bad ... but it definitely wasn't something I would order again. I opted for the parmesan garlic tots - they were ok - but again - very disappointed that the parmesan used was the powdered kind - the least pleasing of all parmesans. My husband was kind to share a bite of his pork with BBQ Sauce from his sandwich and it was really good. I would definitely order that next time. He also opted for the mac and cheese as a side - which he allowed me a taste - it was quite good. I have heard their prime rib is great and I did enjoy the bites of my husband's meal that he allowed me to have ... so I am definitely interested in going back. Apparently they shine with their BBQ ... which is good - cause their chicken cordon bleu should be removed from the menu or revised.

A delightful evening in what could, at the beginning, be called a community of strangers. The music (RexDon) is very inclusive, fun, easy to listen to and well paced. By the time the music is over (6 - 8pm on certain Fridays) the whole place is filled with friends. We have enjoyed the ribs twice; next time we're going for the prime rib. It looked fantastic!

We were told about the "last Friday of the Month" music with Rex and Don so we went to check it out. It was a delightful evening. We enjoyed the barbecue ribs which were exquisite, but the comfortable, easygoing nature of the place was the surprise. No grouchy chef here--you could tell that. Just people enjoying themselves. Wait staff was courteous and non intrusive and seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the diners were. As for the music, it was just perfect for the setting. A little easy banter, nice vocal harmonies, precise arrangements, variety in both song selection and instrumentation. This place is a well kept secret. Maybe I shouldn't have said so much!
